  1. I’m keen on Day as a free agent But in terms of the next Mihocek? You’ve gotta be lucky - started as a defender st vfl level and has been terrific as a forward at afl level...Pies re-tooled him as a necessity to fill a role and he’s been terrific ever since There has to be another player out there who we can get lucky with; we’ve already seen Hore become best 22 for us (subject to availability) and there MUST be more 22-25 year olds out there more than capable of achieving at afl level
  2. I’d rather find the next Mihocek than go anywhere near Jenkins or Casboult
  3. gibbs doesn't run defensively...at all makes gus brayshaw look defensively proactive he doesn't get to repeat contests and he looks completely washed is on big, big money if reports are true (got $1.4-1.6m owed to him over the next two seasons) and no one will want to take that sort of contract on
  4. Cracking game
  5. The only way you’d contemplate taking Gibbs is if it was a salary dump for Adelaide that say netted us something of real value We get: Bryce Gibbs, Crows’ 2020 first round pick, Crows’ 2019 second round pick...which is actually Carlton’s (so at this stage pick 20) We lose: Stretch, 2020 third round pick Only then would you contemplate taking on his rumoured salary and...issues
  6. might as well trade gawn too, eh? he obviously doesn't actually watch us that much if he thinks anb plays thru the midfield
  7. @ArtificialWisdom, i wonder - would you take steve hill as a free agent over brad hill as a trade? sam day will also be a free agent this year, and his body is holding up (at the moment) if we were to look to get some extra depth in kpf stocks
  8. there's no way i'd want to lose petracca, personally one of few players who has got better in this horrid year
  9. cameron is on close to $1.2m a year in a heavily back-ended contract, and it would be reasonable to expect that his post-2020 contract ain't gonna be much cheaper i don't think we'd have the funds to get him in without jettisoning a fairly heavily-contracted player most recent 'big' contracts at the club would be salem, t mac, and brayshaw, with viney presumably on decent coin too when he-contracted in, i think, mid-2017 while lewis will go at the end of this year, i still don't think we'd have the salary space to accommodate someone of cameron's wage
  10. I can see us finishing second last this year; with the rate of injury that we’re having at the moment, we’ll be lucky to have 22 players by round 23! Carltank should be able to beat GC17 in coming weeks, and then they’ll be one fluke win behind us, which would put us equal on points but (probably) behind them on percentage 2019...what a year.......
  11. we will, likely, not win a game for the rest of the year and they should, in theory, beat gc17 we could finish bottom two yet!
  12. agreed (now you watch - christian always goes suspension-hunting after a pies loss...lewis to cop a week or two guaranteed) are we 100% sure that gawn will be right to go? will they bring jetta back despite his form looking less than ideal in the magoos? IN: lever, gawn, j wagner OUT: t mac, hore, petty if lewis goes then you'd expect baker would be back in or jordon may debut tbh i'd probably take either of those over j wagner, but they might want extra mid-size defensive coverage
  13. 6: t mac 5: oliver 4: petracca 3: preuss 2: frost 1: jones
  14. the only winner today was the adelaide crows
  15. whatwhat say what replied to Pates's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
just cooked i think, from being sole forward and ruck relief he needs to work on his engine and his competitiveness in the contest, big time
  16. a draw would've been appropriate that was so bad
  17. classic melbourne
  18. turnover turnover free kick turnover turnover free kick when you kick em like that gibbons just did you probably deserve to win
  19. i cannot handle brayshaw
  20. weitering complete lack of awareness
  21. i took it back already notice we gave up the next clearance straight away tho
  22. we can't seem to win a centre clearance AGAIN i take that back with clayton allowed to run 25m with it
  23. he doesn't work nearly hard enough with his two-way running and he doesn't put any defensive pressure on
  24. plugger poked at that one
