Fixture 2020 (COVID Edition)
Yep All the talk coming out of the aflpa is that they're happy to have more games and the frenzy as long as shorter quarters remain
-
Fixture 2020 (COVID Edition)
all the journos are running with it, so i'm presuming it's been leaked by head office the afl are concerned about maximising the crowds as they'll get the money from the broadcasters no matter when the games are shown - what they want is the crowds back in victoria
-
Fixture 2020 (COVID Edition)
given that next year's season won't start til the end of may / start of june, apparently, i think a 'frenzy' is inevitable as well may be shortened quarters

The 2020 Trade Period
i agree re polec and i hope we're all over zac williams as a possible free agent i dunno about tomlinson going to the wing or harmes - who just signed a whopping five year deal - needing to find a place; the defensive structure is working with them both part of the set-up i think t mac has looked a bit better and is playing his role but, agreed, we wouldn't get a huge amount for him and not have to contribute to his contract at his new club if they do, would we let him walk? if they offer him "enough" we'd be straight back into the first round as compo value, unless we got williams to negate it that said...i would not be happy at all if we let him go rather than counter-offering as he's restricted not unrestricted

i call him 'the barometer' it doesn't surprise me at all that every game he's played this year we've won

NON MFC: Round 12
gc17 should be a long way up - have dominated everything except for the scoreboard
-
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
crows into hately in a big way we are in the fortunate position that he's contracted to us, is clearly good enough to be a starting ruck for about half of the sides in the competition (crows, bears, peptides, dockers, geelong, gw$, hawks, richmond, sydney), and as such should be in high demand at the end of the season
-
NON MFC: Round 12
yep, won't see sicily again til 2022
-
NON MFC: Round 12
Looks like Sicily has done his ACL Won’t see him again until 2022; will be interesting to see what they do re skipper as he was seemingly a lock to get the gig next year

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
The AFL hierarchy is the one advocating for smaller list sizes to reduce the tpp given that for months have passed since I wrote that I still think the bottom six is about right
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
yep the other thing is that the back 7 of may, lever, tomlinson, hibberd, lockhart / rivers, salem, and harmes have looked relatively settled over the last clutch of games harmes being there seems to have given salem the license to push further up field on rebound it's working
