peptides vs carltank is one of the worst games in football since melbourne were at their worst and we beat the peppies thanks to salem's goal bad, bad footy

free agent, no need for trade; we'd just need to show him the money still reckon he's northern states bound and on uncontracted players i'd say: Bedford - 50/50 Fritsch - Keep Hibberd - 50/50 Hannan - Keep Hore - 50/50 Hunt - likely keep Jones - Retire Jordan - Keep OMac - likely keep Nietschke - gone Petty - Likely keep Smith - Keep J.Wagner - Gone Sparrow - likely Keep Spargo - 50/50 Viney - likely keep* *he's a free agent so the decision is out of our hands to a greater lesser degree i know he's apparently contracted til the end of 2021, but you can't see kk staying on a reduced list of 35 players

Brad Miller - GWS Forward line & Assistant Coach. Get him to Melbourne?
i can't imagine being any less frustrated with miller's appalling disposal now as i was then

TEAMS: Rd 04 vs Geelong
not true according to all reports from both within and outside the club - where on earth did you 'learn' that? dunno how else you expect players to be selected other than based on on training / intraclub form as we've played two games in three months

our first rounder in 2021 MIGHT get it done but, then again, essendon would demand that PLUS petracca actually, tbh, the peptides reputation as being difficult to deal with is somewhat unfounded; for the most part they get their deals done as well as anyone else, and often more efficiently than the likes of fremantle for instance to be honest the one i'd look at as a runner from half-back at the end of this season is rory laird

NON MFC: Round 4
collingwood have advertising above their number on the back of their guernsey - are they the first club to have two sponsors on the back of jumper? i know clubs are allowed to do it, but i thought it was existing boj sponsor getting double exposure, where's pies have cgu on front and cgu and emirates on back now

NON MFC: Round 4
super congested and contested low scoring suits the filth, but it keeps the oppo in the game...see also last year's prelim

TEAMS: Rd 04 vs Geelong
wow, i wouldn't - salem is among a host of our players who only works hard one way if we're going to persist with this foolhardy shift to the backline, i might be tempted to give harmes the gig - he's disciplined enough and can go with baby jesus when he rolls up to the contest - but my preference is obviously for him to play on dangerfield wherever he goes as a hard tag in midfield or as a defensive stopper when he rotates forward in saying that, if harmes is part of the midfield, perhaps salem is the man?? perhaps he'll respond to being set an actual defensive role i can completely understand why we're going with this forward line - it's essentially the filth and (pre-lynch) tigers model but i just don't think we have the midfield who will work hard enough both ways to make it work the thing about both richmond and collingwood is that at their best they are SUPER disciplined and have an incredible defensive mindset even when we were up and rolling in 2018 i am not sure how good we were defensively, so it's a bit of a risk such is life i guess - ultimately it ain't my job on the line!

TEAMS: Rd 04 vs Geelong
i wonder if the racial attack has had any effect on nev? i'm sure he'll be back they're placing a lot of faith in a very inexperienced defence - smith, lockhart and rivers would barely have a season's worth of game experience

NON MFC: Round 4
so far this season is definitely devoid of interest as a neutral there's too many ordinary teams filled with average players playing poor football if it's not blowouts then it's slogfests between mediocre sides

Demonland Podcast Featuring Glen Bartlett Wednesday 1/7 @ 8:30pm
obvious q's: what are the plans for the home base? what effect will covid have on this? is casey a fallback option? what are plans for additional revenue opportunities given divesting of pokie revenue? what are the short-term and long-term threats of 'rona decimating clubland from a staff / list perspective? if we don't make finals in 2020 does that mean a new coach in 2021? (as outlined in their own future planning documentation) how frustrated are the board by team's performances, given that success off-field is to a large degree dictated by success onfield?

Proud to Belong, Proud to Give
unlikely unless we trade in some picks

How Important was Spargo
didn't he kick a pretty important goal from 50 during a final? i'm happy to persist with charlie
-
CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Geelong
ha, no - just the frost stuff i understand some love him but i have always thought he was massively overrated and we way overpaid for him (second round pick)
-
CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Geelong
couldn't disagree more with this
-
CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Geelong
have a look at how many direct involvements he had in the chains for goals in the intraclub he'll play i reckon if they're going to bring in a 'tall' it might be avb who is squeezed out

Fixture 2020 (COVID Edition)
all this means is that there's no way the filth and the puddy tatts will travel to wa in 2021

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
it seems like 35 is going to be too deep for some clubs franchises (e.g. gold coast) to get down to, so 40 might be an okay number including both full list and rookie list (not that there seems to be much differentiation these days between the two) given that the minimum amount of draft picks used is likely to drop to two, i'd say that'd be seven off our list before any trading even takes place likely candidates: nathan jones (retirement?) charlie spargo toby bedford michael hibberd (retirement?) kade kolodjashnij aaron neitschke oskar baker marty hore kade chandler corey wagner josh wagner austin bradtke that's twelve - personally of the seven who'd go i'd nominate: kade kolodjashnij aaron neitschke oskar baker kade chandler corey wagner josh wagner as six likely certainties, then it comes down to what the decision is retaining experience (jones and hibberd) vs height (bradtke) and smalls (spargo, bedford, chandler)
