Gary Pert on The Deebrief
pert handled exactly as you'd expect an experienced ceo would i basically heard as 'if goodwin loses the last two games then we'll have to have a serious think about it'

NON MFC: Round 16
i'm going to presume not it just goes to show how ordinary all the teams below about 5th on the ladder actually are at the moment

Who should our next coach be?
he's not coaching essendon; he's just having a superannuation year reckon the pharmacist will be at freo as a senior assistant or what have you next year
-
TRADES, DELIST, PROMOTE
it's all deckchairs on the titanic unfortunately our list is bereft of quality outside the top half dozen or so players, and our coaching department is clearly substandard

Who should our next GM be?
dunno how there can be bad blood with balme considering everyone from that time is well and truly gone scott has just been appointed boss of football victoria as the afl shift jobs around to find jobs for the boys, hasn't he? also a bit contradictory to ask for "someone from a recent Premiership winning club that has a good culture which is also ruthless and demands high standards" and then also say "Alan Richardson could also be moved to that role" in terms of managing the soft cap i agree that richardson going into that position makes sense...i can't fathom how we gave him a five year deal mind you, i have no idea what he actually does - what is a director of coaching? whatever way - mahoney has got to go

Who should our next coach be?
this is probably the most likely outcome

TEAMS: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
i just can't see how we're going to compete with their depth of midfielders fyfe, mundy, walters, brayshaw, serong, cerra vs oliver, petracca, viney, langdon we're going to be VERY reliant upon melksham, avb, anb, tomlinson, baker and perhaps even salem and rivers contributing well

Jack Trengove on Open Mike
that was one of mike's more light weight interviews i reckon he's been spooked a little bit since mark jackson went troppo at him a few years back

TRADES, DELIST, PROMOTE
he's pre-free agency this year he is - like josh kelly at gw$ - one of those players with a weird structure to his deal so that he actually comes out of contract at the end of 2021 despite having a further few years to run on his deal after that why anyone would want to move to melbourne (the city as much as the club) at the moment i don't know i mean, really, they're all going to be playing outta queensland again in 2021 anyway... another option for outside run could by tom phillips at the filth; did his hammy this round and they've got oodles of father-sons needing to be played as outside mids, so he might be a possible target

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
it's pretty clear we're going to be light on for midfield rotations against freo basically the only genuine centre square players left are the core trio of oliver, petracca, and viney this round i would like to see the likes of anb (who played midfield his entire junior career), melksham, avb, perhaps even salem and rivers rotated in there

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
Hore has not played a game of footy for over a year If he’s straight back into the senior side we really are in trouble
-
TRADES, DELIST, PROMOTE
three clearest needs: - key forward (hogan? brown? daniher?) - left-sided outside mid (polec? gaff?) - defensive rebound (williams?)

Finals 2020
fortunately it's completely irrelevant for us as we won't be there

2020 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS
if they're smart, they'll find a way

2020 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS
if the dogs and the filth are smart they'll work a way to 'game' the system for 2020 and 2021 so that the pies end up holding the dogs' 2020 first rounder and the filth the dogs' 2021 first rounder so that they use back-ended points in picking the kids who're rated likely #1 picks in their respective years that they have early access to them i have no probs with the pies getting access to the latest daicos coming thru next year, but the dogs having priority on jamara ugle-hagan is just absurd
