  1. It is hard to judge who is right - Roos, the successful coach who looks on the positive side of things - or Lyon, the cynical media commentator who speaks from his heart Hope it’s the former, but the MFCSS in me says the latter
  2. He looks the perfect size but he also might be a bit slow to play forward and doesn’t have enough of a tank to play thru the middle
  3. I wonder how far he will fall?
  4. lockhart was playing a defensive role, i think? he seemed to 'do his job' so hard to see him getting dropped as he's one of our very few players with a bit of toe, particularly on a quick deck against a speedy side like everyone else, i think it's probably preuss out for one of weideman or tim smith - would prefer the former as he's the future whereas smith is a stop-gap measure weideman and petty would be interesting to watch as a key forward combination
  5. which is why ash would seem to be a risk when compared with rowell, anderson, or serong
  6. based on what we've seen this year, i'd rather get brandon ellis as a free agent and keep our second round pick and use it at the draft
  7. Yes I didn’t like that either Should have had that mad Trac fan do it
  8. 6: oliver 5: fritsch 4: salem 3: may 2: lewis 1: brayshaw
  9. game was symptomatic of our year - our effort was solid throughout but our execution is routinely appalling and we had yet more players suffer injury i'm half expecting the medical report mid-week to come out and say may has torn his hammy off the bone and petty has broken his tibula / fibula, while viney is suffering ongoing concussion symptoms it would be right in keeping with the rest of our year
  10. Hawks all over the Cats but can’t kick a goal
  11. Where on earth are you hearing that about Roos?
  12. AFL admitted they were wwwwwwrooonngg?!?? Miracles will never cease!
  13. That ground is notoriously hard George rainfall records be damned; both freo and meth coke players and footy dept have commented on it Neither club trains there now as a result
  14. the norm smith continues even after you leave us! hope he gets betterer like others, i can't imagine playing on that rock hard oval every second week is doing his feet much good
  15. langdon appeals from an outside speed factor, but the only way you'd want brayshaw being in the trade was if it was for freo's first plus langdon for brayshaw and our, i dunno, third or something langdon is a gut running ball sprayer who doesn't seem to be a big tackler - two out of three traits that'll fit right in with the rest of our side! surely we'd get him for second round pick, perhaps even swapping ours and freo's thirds if required
  16. peptides' workrate is enormous they don't give up and they keep fighting at the moment - they're on a run not too dissimilar to that which we had last year as a football side they play a brand of footy that is entertaining to watch
  17. Now it’s the Crows turn to stop! Topsy-Turvey game
  18. Peptides have stopped
  19. Goodes isn’t involved in the final quarter; it was made without his involvement How anyone can say the abuse he suffered wasn’t significantly racially motivated beggars belief
  20. The Norm Smith curse goes west!
  21. yep, was thinking ryan when reading duggan so what about the next options after rowell, anderson, and kemp?
  22. interesting that you compare ash to a defensive pressure forward, cos from my understand he's mostly played running defender - gotta say his contested ball winning numbers - or lack of em - worry me a great deal; positively toumpas-like in terms of percentage people forget that robbie gray was a speculative pick at #55 when port grabbed him - he's my fave non-demon so if serong turned out to be as good as robbie i'd happily have him i would love anderson but i think he and rowell are headed to gc17, and we'll have a choice of one of the others rowell sounds like he'll be an immediate inside midfield rotation player no matter where he goes next year, while anderson and kemp will be initially outside runners, potential there to become damaging inside / outside players who would you like the most of these players @Lord Travis? which do you see as being able to benefit us immediately vs long-term, and what roles would they have in our side?
  23. I hope we start winning games and those around us do too Watch the afl award GC17 the first five picks in the draft...
  24. 3-4 weeks away from MFC playing is consistent with what he is saying - two weeks away from resuming at vfl for a half and then 1-2 weeks away from afl
