  1. there's not many clubs that plays those thought of as their 'best players' repeatedly in the 2s de goey and bobby hill got a half to get a run of competitive footy under their belts in the vfl, coleman got a game and broke down again straight away, doedee the same... if yr 'best players' are fit you play them where they may actually help you i look at mihocek coming back from 4 weeks out; straight back into the seniors as an example
  2. I personally think it’s less about wanting to kick him out and now - given that he may have actual value for us in the meat market, if he does indeed want to return home to Perth - may be the time when he wants to leave Personally I don’t see much in him moving into the midfield; lock down small defender who can rebound is a very important position and - prior to this injury hit season - he was tracking to be up there with Starcevich as one of the best in the competition
  3. you can understand why - they're crying out for leadership and experience, particularly defensively
  4. not predicted to go in any top 25 of the draft predictions that have appeared thus far are we sure tairon is the right guy??
  5. he was never getting off imo they punish the outcome, not the action
  6. not for $1.3 rising to $1.7m a year by the time they're in their mid 30s we wouldn't oliver is playing like a vfl plodder and trac kicks the ball like he's never held a footy in his life
  7. i thought they were offering their future first, i.e. this year's first rounder (which could end up being in the late 20s) i agree, fwiw - not worth trading him for that
  8. unfortunately, jake niall was right - oliver should have been traded to geelong at the end of last season for a first round pick he has next to no value now trac, presumably, might, but i don't think it'll be as high as i would love it to be - perhaps a late first / swap to move higher up the order in the second round or some such if we look at him and think 'he can't kick' then i imagine every other team would be saying the same
  9. if he goes go there it'll remind me of when junior burgoyne went to them after one premiership with the pear, a few almost seasons, a tough run, a big injury, a fall out with the club (he wanted to be captain, as did his coach), and then a trade to the hawks if trac gets three premierships with dingley while we get the equivalent of john butcher i will, as per plough, fair dinkum SPEW UP
  10. he's not even a vfl level player these days, he's edfl quality if we are remotely interested you'd want it to be a 3rd round pick going out and a 2nd round + shiel coming back in
  11. jesus wept i hope not been cooked for two years
  12. simpson - 6 years post 18 clarkson - 6 years post 15 joyce - 2 years post 91 matthews - 5 years post 95 walls - 18 months post 87 jewell - 1 year after 80 mick malthouse is in a category all on his lonesome where he was sacked BEFORE he won in 2010
  13. he left tho, rather than was sacked alan joyce sacked 2 years after the 1991 premiership
  14. i reckon it might've been tony jewell - sacked at the end of 81 after coaching tigs to the premiership in 80 it was robert walls - sacked 18 months by ian collins after the 87 premiership barney survived 5 seasons after guiding the filth to the 1990 premiership, finishing at the end of 95
  15. who was the last premiership coach sacked within four years since saluting?
  16. no it wasn't partially, sure, but the inability to run out quarters, let alone games, has been pronounced for a long while now he's gotta go
  17. which wa team would want him given his form this season?
  18. biggest 3/4 time comeback in history add to that to when will be break these embarrassing records list
  19. what an abysmal excuse for a football 'team' no one plays for each other, with the exception of gawn and viney atrocious
  20. yep, that was the final nail in the coffin
  21. we are the unfittest team in the competition
  22. that's our midfield rotation moving forward, in an ideal world
  23. jvr has been so ordinary - just doesn't compete physically pickett will get weeks for that; they'll claim he intended to hit him in the head
  24. just a [censored] of an attitude
