  1. Leuenberger a near certainty to go to Swans with Pyke retiring you'd expect. Suckling may go to the Dogs.
  2. Reminds me of when we got Clark for pick 12 in a compromised draft and we're all singing hallelujahs. Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don't.
  3. gotta say, hogan's manager sounded far more circumspect than i was anticipating. although it is encouraging that he loves melbourne the city as well as the direction the club is heading.
  4. Mitch Brown any interest? Certainly a superior player at vfl level to Fitz, King, etc
  5. so far it would seem the obvious ins and outs are: in: melksham, bugg, kennedy out: toumpas, second round pick, howe possibly out: dawes, watts, tyson (i have no idea where the tigers rumour came from?) B: Jetta - T McDonald - Garland HB: Bugg - Frost - Salem C: Melksham - N Jones - Brayshaw HF: vandenBerg - Dunn - Kennedy F: Harmes - Hogan - Garlett Foll: Gawn - Vince - Viney I/C: Kent - Pedersen - Michie - Petracca Emerg: Lumumba - O McDonald - Newton Outside the 25: Trengove - Stretch - JKH - Hunt - ANB - Grimes - Spencer - M Jones - King anyone i've missed? edit: added kent we look awfully light on for talls. i'd really like weideman as long as he tests okay at the combine. he has the height, reportedly the skill, and best of all we'd take him one before the filth could.
  6. really hope he can come back. hopefully the lessening of the rotations will make him more valuable.
  7. melksham and kennedy for our second rounder would be okay (wada-pending).
  8. badum-tish. but srsly...
  9. On mobile at the top of the thread when you click the link to go back to the top of whichever board yr on, you always get a Cloudflare error at the moment. What gives?
  10. Weideman could end up being the player of this draft. He's a beast, albeit one who has had injury issues. As a result he will probably end up sliding to a late first rounder and be picked up by a good club and given time to develop.
  11. Another year, another dud gf. Hawks should be forced to only kick on their opposite foot, except for Mitchell, who has to play upside down (he'll still dominate).
  12. i agree, i think he's the sort of player who will be refreshed no matter where he lands as he has the skill, the desire, the temperament and with the abolition of the sub rule the opportunity to become a dalhaus / breust / zorko style player who can switch between forward and mid, with good ball-winning ability and a bit of toe. one question remains about his skills under pressure.
  13. $1.4m over three years sounds about right to me. certainly a long way down from his manager's early $650k per annum ambit claims.
  14. Think you'll find its Toumpas in effect for Kennedy, Tall Timber.
  15. Also very close with the Viney family.
  16. ben kennedy is being mentioned as part of a tri-club trade.
  17. I really liked Kennedy in his under 18 year. Wouldn't be opposed.
  18. Bugg and Plowman were talked about last year. Melksham and Bugg should be worth about the same - third rounder or straight swap for the likes of Toumpas, Watts, Grimes (potentially plus a sweetener). Both would be in our best 22, but both have got massive spots on them. neither are big possession winners or inside mids, and both have shown to have horrible decision making at times. If we can do Toumpas for Melksham and Bugg for a third rounder I'd be pleased.
  19. Would take it, probably. Would prefer a second rounder on the way back too, but we simply need to recruit some class into the club, and Prestia is that in spades.
  20. Crows have reportedly confirmed they'll match, First big test of this fallacy of a system.
  21. That ain't gonna do his inability to hit a target by hand or foot any favours... Morton showed far, far more than Toumpas in his first three years. We've dangled him as trade bait for two years in a row and got nothing cos he's worth nothing. A bigger bust than Morton or Gysberts, and only just ahead of Cook and Molan.
  22. at least 17. the only one who maybe, probably wouldn't have picked him was gws. and that's cos their preference was to always draft victorians other sa, wa boys.
  23. If Howe and Garland both left it would make some sense to target him, but we have a plethora of mid-sized defenders which I think Plowman fits into, and I can't see the need for his services.
  24. old man wasn't quick, but he was tough as old boots, bled red and blue, and could find the football. if jake ticks all those boxes, i'd like to add him as a rookie pick over some other anonymous player. there's still got to be room for romance in footy, and the idea of viney, stretch and lovett being in our side makes me a happy camper. i just wish dollars boys had shown some aptitude for the sport. any idea of how jimmy's lad is progressing?
