AFLW Intra Club Match 16 July 2025
tbh i thought the girls' season last year was even more of a let down than the boys' 2024 i'm hoping they can rocket back up the ladder in aflw, as opposed to what we've seen in 2025 in the aflm

Where is Fritta Going?
i presume he is a pre-agent at the end of this season? no doubt he'd have 'value' for sides looking for that last little bit of f50 oomph to go from top 4 to premiership, top 8 to top 4, etc. i still see him as our best f50 player

PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Well, not with Lever out injured I donโt ๐ IN: May, Spargo, Petty OUT: Lever, Tholstrup, Sparrow

Trade Targets
plus sparrow two premiership players for a future gw$ coleman medallist
-
Trade Targets
"decided" to send hogan on his way?? insomuch as doing that trade contributed significantly to our premiership, sure the only other true key forward i can recall having on our list between neitz and hogan is mitch clark and, well, there were other issues at play there in the end beyond injury we've definitely lost some ripper players to homesickness, but there's not many clubs who don't

2025 MRO & Tribunal
that only happens to mfc players; reckon anb was the ONLY player to contest a 3 week ban and come out of the tribunal with 4

Trade Targets
the other issue is if we're giving away oliver for little (a second round pick), paying overs for flanders (two first round picks), and then paying the former $500k to play elsewhere and the latter $1m, aren't we better off just keeping clayton?

Time for Demonlanders to Speak
i can't believe i'm missing clarry's 200th but alas, the hives i'm not sure i entirely agree with this chat gpt summary (mostly cos abba do nothing for me; roxette were a far superior pop group), but rest assured that every cheer for howlin' pelle will be also directed towards the boys in red and blue at the g

PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
had forgotten about spargo; his vfl game was excellent IN: may, spargo, petty OUT: plugger mac, sparrow, tholstrup i love tommy, but if may is fit it's the only change to make - big body tall defender for bigger brute tall defender tholstrup doesn't really play as a 'small' forward so petty can replace him in the forward line, while spargo gives the forward pressure position coverage in sparrow's enforced absence the other one is howes might come in for lever, although i suspect he'll stay in the side

Can we talk about Kolt?
i think we'll perservere with having him as a half forward, but in an ideal world he'd go back to casey and work on his attack on the ball and the man lacks intensity

Time to Blood Jeffo
too weak in the contest and doesn't work hard at all defensively perservere for the rest of the season but he needs a massive between seasons

Time to go Goody?
I am not in the โsack Goodwinโ band wagon but if we donโt go 4-3 in the last seven Iโll be pretty disappointed However โฆ If we lose to this north line up missing three of their top handful of players I will probably climb aboard

NON-MFC: Round 18
i live in thanks that we won't lose to them twice in a season, as playing an injury-ravaged peptides is exactly the sort of game where we kick 7.21 to lose by 3 or so goals

NON-MFC: Round 18

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
agreed people seem to forget that hodge, mitchell, and lewis were well into their 30s by the time they left dingley - they've won one finals game since in a decade of seasons, and that was last year against a footscray side who just came to a stop midway thru the third quarter the more apt comparison for us is not petracca and oliver but instead may and gawn the filth changed coach not once but twice after their 2010 premiership before they won another flag; they are arguably one of the most well-resourced and professionally run football organisations during that time period puddy tatts recruited not one not two but three generational players from other clubs - dangerfield, ablett jr coming home, and cameron - after their 2007, 2009, and 2011 salutes and still have only one flag to their name since premierships are bloody hard to win

NON-MFC: Round 18
unnecesarily harsh players on ground say all sorts of rubbish; there's many stories about the dees circa 2015-19 being VERY lippy they won't be the first, nor the last
