  1. and it looks like pert was on the money - we should have moved him to the cats and got $1m off our cap last year for a (late) round 1 pick in a stronger draft
  2. define 'young' personally i have my doubts on tholstrup while i think jefferson is a pure bust langford, lindsay, and windsor are all very promising
  3. just nuts what has happened to this club since the 2021 premiership it reminds me so much of the filth after 1990 - they took a decade to recover from it hopefully we're not the same
  4. based upon only the two rumoured 'ins' to the side and all the outs... B: Moniz-Wakefield - Petty - Lever HB: Bowey - Turner - Salem C: Langford - Rivers - Lindsay HF: Fritsch - van Rooyen - Langdon F: Melksham - Mihocek - Chandler Foll: Gawn - Windsor - Pickett I/c: Viney - Tholstrup - Howes - Sparrow - Culley Emerg: Laurie - McDonald - Heath
  5. We’ve gone full scorched earth Making these sorts of wholesale changes looks bad, but wins - of which we’ve had too few in the last 18 months - will cure all ills
  6. Seems like a full scorched earth approach
  7. Weitering would be my #1 in the draft, ahead of Oliver then Dawson The last couple of seasons may have lowered Claz’s colours, but his career before that was extraordinary
  8. And he’s now effectively out of the competition
  9. Dusty spent considerable time with gw$ before deciding to stick with the tigs Four years later he had three premierships and norm smith medals If he a deal can’t get done then he returns to the MFC
  10. it's the whole of experience approach happy wife, happy life
  11. no one other than mfc fans cares about what mfc will get for him i suspect it's not going to be what he's worth (to us)
  12. she's not just his wife she's the ceo of his company of course she's going to be with him to evaluate what the clubs are saying to him, as what they say to her will be just as important
  13. the 2027 draft concessions - in the year in which those picks become eligible to be traded - has rendered them worthless
  14. honestly thought he was going to be in our top 10 players for the next decade big loss
  15. Elliott sticks with the filth That’ll be why Trac is now flying to GC17 for a face to face
  16. 35,000 about 150,000 less than trac's actual handle and 500,000 less than ontrac5
  17. that's my vibe too perfect player for the lockdown rule but he wants to play a rebound one
  18. this is the way i heard it too the way that this draft is being talked down is pronounced - all the experts saying it's got no depth and is low quality at the pointy end too i think it was morris who has said that the pear are only planning on drafting one player from it and instead using all other picks to elevate rookies
  19. Sounds like there's no one not available... for the right price.
  20. another player who performs in a completely different role at vfl level compared to what is expected from him at afl level he looks like an inside midfielder to me, which is the role he plays at vfl level for mine, there are clear concerns over his speed and his skills his attitude and intent look excellent
  21. wow, that would be enormous it's why i think a player (e.g. pedlar, fioroni) plus a 2025 1st round and 2026 1st round is probably our best bet getting his entire contract off the books is a win in and of itself
  22. i don't think we need another 'proven ruck' we need a ruck who is capable of performing at afl level, has good form at lower level, and is under the age of 25 - that's max heath bringing in two big experiened key forwards is an impossibility - we'll get one, in brody mihocek we don't need a big experienced defender given that we're getting rid of our most experienced one - wade derksen will come in as a younger, inexperienced key defender, with harrison petty a possibility to return to defence as well killer mids don't grow on trees - looks like we might lose one (petracca) and re-balance our midfield with promising younger players instead
