  1. as two academy selections for the gc17 franchise, highly unlikely
  2. those were the days! their side has barely changed since then - albeit with two locks in their key defensive posts - and yet they are now flying
  3. great use of the body, robbed of a great mark and shot on goal also, will not be suspended according to ralph in the little paper
  4. like others i'm expecting milkshake will be suspended, so that's two forwards down with petty out under concussion protocols fortunately, dingley aren't super tall down forward, so we can probably roll with just may and plugger mac as the key defenders; leave turner forward OUT: melksham, petty IN: van rooyen, oliver you don't play someone like oliver in the vfl; he wasn't in bad form, just a bad headspace
  5. that sounds like a category b rookie father-son selection in future years to me!
  6. where was this ignore maclure - everyone in the wider football world does
  7. we were a top 4 team at the time they were both emerging, and we prioritised chandler's development in favour of bedford's, and so the other has subsequently moved on to further his career there wasn't a role for them both in the way our side was constructed the footy dept made the right decision for the side and bedford make the right call for his career swings / roundabouts
  8. 6: gawn 5: chandler 4: turner 3: viney 2: melksham 1: petracca
  9. max just revealed that 75 points is the new benchmark that we want to hold teams to back in the 2021-23 days it was 60
  10. the umpiring has absolutely no effect on our appalling skills, lack of second efforts, poor decision making, and lazy footballers
  11. wow we are bad
  12. lol 'retirement'
  13. as a midfielder trent rivers make a solid half-back
  14. the minute they get the ball on the outside they're off to the races we are in big trouble
  15. kolt has been appalling trying to do way, way too much we're lucky they haven't kicked straight
  16. we are SO SLOW to start the transition from attaining possession to putting speed on the ball movement
  17. these look like two super ordinary football teams lack of pressure from both is...bad
  18. yep - their slingshot from the back half run-and-gun game into three big forwards with swooping smalls is basically the modern game we wanted to go with that at the start of the year, but the triumvirate of jvr / el jefe / aj ain't no fogarty / tex / thilthorpe, and only lasted one week to start the year!
  19. i would have lindsay ahead of reid, and both kako and langford in front of him as well outside of a 15 min purple patch in his debut game, he hasn't been that great
  20. methinks he means flagmantle's murphy - not harley - reid oliver's lack of return to his incredible best is a disappointment anything we trade him for will not be worth it
  21. oh i heard it at 22,500 so we had about 5k more in a better location and - i'd argue - at a better timeslot the docklands carpark is a horrible place to go
  22. correct
  23. 22,500 ish very similar to what we get against flagmantle aints are a remarkably similar-sized club to our own, albeit with significant more $$s coming their way from head office
  24. crom the in the mid-00s, aints in the late 00s, pear in the late 10s-20s, flagmantle...forever premierships are hard to win and should be savoured
