  1. I'm reliably informed the Casey Seniors start at 3pm.
  2. I think I read 2pm somewhere
  3. I'm planning to head to Casey on Saturday with my boys, hoping to watch Petracca, Trengove, Weideman and whoever else lines up. Looking forward to seeing some of the young guns go at it. Is it free entry to practice matches? I'll try to provide updates and any interesting highlights.
  4. Top end was always thought to be strong but not deep.
  5. Round 2 2013 - Essendon 28.16 184 defeated Melbourne 5.6.36 - 148 Points I'd like to get a bit of pay back for that game... Importantly percentage could be the difference in us sneaking into the 8 at the end of the year. Banking a decent percentage boost versus Essendon is critical because all other teams will be trying to do the same.
  6. No, may have been recorded before Rising Star announcement.
  7. In: Dunn, Brayshaw Out: OMac, Harmes
  8. Footy Classified. Lloyd questioned Hogan's attitude for the first 3 quarters, said he was excellent in the last. Big praise for Watts. Lloyd said we will win around 50% of our games but just miss out on the 8. That was it basically.
  9. This is great to hear Emerald. I believe bad kicking for goal was the reason behind a few losses last year, even on a couple of occasions being competitive. Adelaide 12.8 d Melb 7.13 Melb 6.14 db Freo 18.10 Essendon 10.9 d Melb 7.18 Carlton 12.6 d Melb 7.13 Looking further into it I noticed that our goal kicking accuracy was very much in the bottom 4 at 50%. Not surprisingly Hawthorn were on top with 59%. It's interesting to look at the ladder. If we can improve the accuracy by 5% it will make a big difference to our W/L ratio at the end of the year. Particularly with a number of clubs predicted to be in the 7th to 14th ladder positions. Goal kicking Accuracy 2015 Hawthorn 59% Port Adelaide 57% Bulldogs 56% Fremantle 55% Geelong 55% Adelaide 54% North 54% Richmond 54% Collingwood 53% West Coast 53% Sydney 52% Brisbane 51% Carlton 51% Gold Coast 51% Essendon 50% GWS 50% Melbourne 50% Saints 49%
  10. Pete Ryan (Twitter) Trengove Casey intraclub return at Gosch's Paddock Friday will please @melbournefc fans. Petracca looked good at training too. Not far away
  11. I can't remember an MFC injury list as small as this ever before. In fact I can't remember an injury list that didn't have at least 1 of our best 22 players on it. Apologies to Dawes, but I personally have Pederson ahead of him. Hopefully our luck is turning.
  12. Blues too. We kicked 7.13 to 12.6 and were beyond bad that day. Should never have lost that game.
  13. A very Good Friday. Best of luck to Jack
  14. This is my worst nightmare. The long suffering supporters of the oldest club in the land, supporters who have watched on through 50+ years of disappointment and heartbreak. Losing in a Grand Final to a soulless team that has been manufactured by the governing body. A team that has been gifted the best talent in the land for the best part of the 4 years they’ve been in existence for. A team that most barely think about, let alone have a passion for to be handed a gift wrapped premiership. We’re all expected to just shrug our shoulders and accept it.
  15. Three of our wins last year I think can be directly attributed to the targeted aggression of our players (particularly Viney) to the opposition captain. Gold Coast - Viney repeatedly crunched Ablett every time he got the ball. Geelong - Viney went after Selwood and showed he wasn't intimidated by him. Pies - Viney (and I think VDB and Jones) both crunched Pendlebury a few times and he had a poor game. Was it a coincidence or tactical. I'm not sure but it definitely had an impact in those games. I loved it,
  16. Obviously our best possible 22. Is that the question though?
  17. I'm out of town, Jamieson. But if not I'd be seriously contemplating heading to the VFL practice match. 15 of our young players lining up together would be worth watching IMO
  18. Saturday 2 April v Box Hill Hawks, Casey Fields @ 1.00pm (Development League 10.00am) Jack's return as reported on afl.com.au.
  19. Reported on AFL.com.au that this will be Jack Trengove's return to competitive football. Might have make the trip down to Casey to cheer him on.
  20. I noticed it Worm, seems there is a great feeling in the group. Bodes well IMO.
  21. Michael Voss and Simon Black's lovechild.
  22. 105% - Ilike close games
  23. Thanks DeeSpencer. 1 Question: how does Jack Trengove's pace look?
