  1. Jacob Hopper just reeled off 11 touches in the first quarter for GWS. Looks like another excellent talent.
  2. I thought they were better than they showed tonight. But I agree they looked average.
  3. Hunt played forward last year for Casey and was pretty successful from memory. Could provide similar speed and pressure to Kent. Salem plays HB then.
  4. This is massive, a bigger signing than Jack Viney. When measured in height alone...
  5. Where has it been reported that his father is sick? It seems to be talked about but I can't find where it's originated.
  6. I hope he stays on in a list advisor, talent scout type role. The way his teams (Sydney and now Melbourne) have been able to take rejected or marginal First 22 players from other clubs and turn them into solid or better players is remarkable.
  7. Can I ask where it's been reported that his father is ill?
  8. Just one from left field... Anyone think T. Cloke could be moulded into a full back/CHB, big, strong reasonably quick. Not a bad field kick. 29 years old though.
  9. All I really want is for Hogan to stay. After all the [censored] that we've gone through in the past 10 years, we've found a champion forward. I hope we can keep him.
  10. One other element to consider. Insider Intel Peter Jennings was at the Bulldogs last year and his role is Game Analyst. Brendan McCartney was there the year before. They should know how to exploit any weaknesses.
  11. Not sure if this has been posted, must admit it gave me a little rise downstairs. Melbourne out of hell: Demons on the rise
  12. The reason his handballs are so damaging is that he always hits someone that is moving (not flat-footed) and that moving player is almost always either in space or heading into space. He is amazing.
  13. We would have beaten the Hawks tonight. The tigers have been pretty bad and were still in it at 3/4 time. No doubt when we play them Hodge, Mitchell and Roughy will all be back.
  14. Yeah sorry DD36 I read your post after posting my own. Seems we are on the same page. Hope we're both proven wrong on Saturday.
  15. Those saying ANB needs to push out Oliver, Viney, Vince, Jones, etc. have forgotten that he played as a dangerous forward last year. IMO Kent and Harmes are very lucky. Harmes was very average last week and Kent has played maybe 6 good quarters in 6 matches. I reckon ANB would have given just as much as either of those two.
  16. 2 meter Peter to kick a game high 6 goals. No surer thing. We've seen how well our team Defence has worked against genuine talls. I hope this isn't a game we lose at the selection table again.
  17. Bloody hell, it's an inexperienced team. Lumumba 223 games Dunn 165 games Salem 28 games Frost 29 games 447 games replaced by Garland 137 Stretch 12 Oliver 4 Michie 18 171 games I'm happy that Oliver is in and acknowledge that form is a problem, but that's a big drop. I'm less confident of victory with that side no doubt.
  18. I'd prefer them to say. "We’re preparing to play at our best!!!"
  19. I hope ANB gets a game, he has been consistently in the best and keeps getting passed by others... He'd have every right to be disappointed if he missed out again.
  20. It's certainly the new cliche players and coaches like to roll out. I've heard it used plenty of times this year not only by the Demons. It seems to have really caught on.
  21. Like many others on here I suspect, I was nervous in the lead up to the Bombers, relatively confident against North, bullish against Collingwood and the Tiges and worried against the Saints. I have absolutely no feeling or gauge for how this game will pan out. I just cannot say with any confidence who will win, if it will be close, or a blowout either way. I need to find something to do for the 3 hours it's on, otherwise I'll be a nervous wreck.
  22. I read somewhere that Nev Jetta is about to re-sign too. Good signs all round.
