I agree. Is he a free agent?

My 3 word player analysis v North Melbourne
Ron Burgundy replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
It was a bloody impressive performance despite lacking the requisite polish and experience at crucial moments. Hence, I can't agree with several of the player assessments here. Tres ordinaire stuff. -
Absolutely hate to see Vince rubbed for a week. But can't complain about this one. It was there.

Need a Royal Commission into umpiring in the AFL. That was just pathetic. Well done Demons. We won that game.

MATCH PREVIEW & TEAM SELECTION - Round 3, 2016

Thought we had no chance. And that was with Garlett in the side. His absence is massive. Not looking forward to this game at all. -
MATCH PREVIEW & TEAM SELECTION - Round 3, 2016
Ron Burgundy replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Simply cannot see us winning this one. -
Cannot see us beating North. Just can't see it happening.

Devil is in the detail ...

No he's not. I think pretty well everyone here knew Parish was going to be an extremely good player. In fact, I think most here had him pencilled in at pick 4 prior to the draft. Very happy with Oliver though.

I reckon we're going to be okay this year. That said, I absolutely loathed our performance on Sat. Really hated it.
-
That sucked.

This is what it must feel like to be a Hawthorn supporter. Going to a game actually thinking we will win it. And with the betting odds reflecting that feeling. If we win by enough, we could be top 4 by 6.00pm today. C'mon Dees.

At least 6 more years before a premiership
Ron Burgundy replied to bandicoot's topic in Melbourne Demons
Things in the game seem to turn much more quickly, and far more dramatically, these days. The recent rise of the Bulldogs illustrates this. -
Watts wants to stay but will explore free agency.
Ron Burgundy replied to Bombay Airconditioning's topic in Melbourne Demons
Simply cannot disagree with this. That said, if making All Australian is the minimum standard, then Watts must produce that type of game week in, week out. I think his game last week, which was bloody awesome, exceeds the minimum standard - but I'd be stoked if he manages to produce it week in, week out. We'll be playing finals if he can - and we get a good run with injuries. -
Absolutely agree. Like certain others, he's been unfairly maligned by many here in an unfair and uncritical way. He's got good hands, he's evasive, and he's pretty quick. I always take note of how the players assess other players. In my observation, the rest of the player group think Matt Jones is a good player. In fact, I'll never forget Rodan saying Matt Jones was super hard to tackle - just so quick on his feet. And remember people, Rodan could dance. That he played in round one after one of the best pre-seasons in living memory, with a relatively full list to pick from and a highly competent coaching group now assessing the players, says it all in my opinion.

Eleven Pies players test positive to illicit substances
Ron Burgundy replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
Re AFL 360. Buckley had some very reasonable and seemingly legitimate observations on the way in which this was reported by Slobbo, which he intimated was super poor but which he acknowledged could have been really important with proper and meaningful insight (which in his view plainly did not take place here). Chris Scott then tore Slobbo a new one. Nailed it. Was very complimentary of Tim Lane's approach to this issue. Distinction to be drawn between elicit substance abuse and taking performance enhancing drugs. Clear take out - don't think either coach respects Slobbo as a journo. I suspect the Slob is probably sobbing into a beer by himself at some pub right now. Humiliating stuff - live on air to the nation too. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Ron Burgundy replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just watched the game again. Kennedy was in everything, was hard at it, was unselfish, was very good defensively, was solid offensively, was clearly effective - in short, already a very important player to this team. Another Roos' recruiting gem. Bugg was very good too. Wish Melksham didn't get rubbed. -
And yep, I'm pretty proud of myself.
-
I've always rated Watts.

Is he from the Barossa?
-
I think Vince is my favourite player.

Fox Footy Roundtable - Melbourne
Ron Burgundy replied to Delusional demon 82's topic in Melbourne Demons
I love Paul Roos. -
The irony with the dudes continually having a crack at Saty is that they think he's uncool asking the players various things. But they are in all likelihood equally as uncool. And being so frigid about it all confirms this. I expect the players don't give a rat's and are used to being asked things by supporters, even completely inane things. Keep it up Saty - I'm interested in hearing what the players have to say about stuff, even the completely inane stuff. Always provides some insight.
