Just got home from the G, so good to be back. A truly ugly win but we have lost them in the past and never really looked like losing bar the first few minutes. May n Lever superb. Thought Spargo was real important today and I think we’ve all seen enough to know that last years rookies , Riv, Kozzie and LJ will all be stars of the game. just wanted to add the crowd of 21k was extremely disappointing for a first match live in 18 months, disgrace really.

Agree with this, particularly with Jones n Jetta, they will look painfully slow with this quicker game we are witnessing. Both defences will dominate the forwards, to me the game is won by whoever can convert their opportunities from turnovers across the backline, something that hasn’t ended at all well for us against fast teams. I think for pace these 2 teams will be pretty even.

I reckon M Voss will turn into an excellent coach after his first failure , he just seems a very driven individual. Will probably happen in the coming years as he has had a fair apprenticeship with Port now.

For 3-4 years now a lot of footy experts have rated our playing list very highly but we have continued to underperform. Maybe someone like Choco has been the missing ingredient. He is an old school motivator, very direct when it’s required but very likeable. I distinctly remember how much the Tiges players loved him when he was there not that long ago, as the club began its transformation from laughing stock to benchmark. As others have said he could be the best signing our club has made in years.

Yeah I’m loving it 4 episodes in! The respect and buy/in Dimma gets from his boys is impressive. Have always liked Eddie Betts but this show makes you like him even more. Nicnat is a very cool dude too. He’s a rockstar and he knows it but still very down to earth

Freo will be no pushover despite their recent injuries. A midfield boasting Fyfe, Mundy, Cerra, Serong, Brayshaw, 2 superstars and 3 who had fantastic seasons last year and will improve. I reckon it’s a stronger midfield than ours. The betting odds in this game are way off in my opinion. Our form at The G in 2019 was poor.

I wouldn’t be too concerned, keep in mind the played barely 40 hours prior so it’s not overly surprising.

Would be the best signing we’ve ever made on or off field. He is besties with Clarko but is more likely to move to Gold Coast where his family have relocated to. Doesnt rule out a part time gig!

Based on what we’ve seen pre season he definitely deserves his place in the team.
