The club is bigger than the individual. Do the right thing at seasons end Simon and step down. You have failed us miserably.

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Fremantle

Hands down the worst half of footy I've ever seen and I'm in my 50s. -
GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Fremantle

I'll watch with zero expectation tonight. Don't let Freos ladder position fool you, took it right up to Richmond til late in the game and they have played some pretty good footy the last 5-6 weeks. I rate them higher than The Swans. Based on efforts last week we are so far off being a serious finals contender that it may be a blessing missing out. Beggars belief we are in this position once again. -
Has there been a response from anyone in the media or AFL? I couldn't believe how quickly the commentators dismissed the vision when it came back after the decision. Even my 2 young kids were adamant it hadn't crossed the line.

I urge anyone with Kayo (and I assume fox footy) to listen to the matches through the radio links on the AFL website . You can choose any station that airs the game and play it through your Bluetooth speaker. You'll just need to pause the TV for about 15 seconds to sync it up. I refuse to listen to any match with Bruce now and even Huddo who seems to love to see us fail and sounds condescending at times. I can't begin to tell you how much more of an enjoyable experience it is.

Are We The Mentally Weakest Side Ever?

Guilty your honour. -
How's that home final looking??.... Have we locked in a venue yet?

How's that home final looking?? Lol. Embarrassing, Insipid, Typical.

He's 193cm on MFC website and I'd even question that being correct. Having met him I was surprised of how big a bloke he is. Man is a beast and ridiculously quick for his size.
-
Bruce had a poor second half, didn't he Deever.....
-
Geez, all this talk of home finals...... How about we just actually finish in the top 8 for starters! Next thing you know we'll be sending out emails for finals tickets.

Not sure if he is a number 1 ruck yet but Swans are screaming out for a ruck at the moment. Naismith is there best but perennially injured and did an acl 2 months ago so will miss a fair chunk next year. I'd be bringing Preussy in this week against The Bloods to give them a good look. He would get plenty of matches with them next year and could become their number 1. I'd love to get Rowbottom, great young mid with pace and skill. Camberwell boy too, let's bring him home. He's highly rated so we'd need to add steak knives or pick swaps.

If we manage to beat Swans by 4 goals we will move above the Saints on the ladder on Thursday night! We'll be on equal games played then as well as they have the bye.

There would not be many on here who do not absolutely love Jones but he is a liability now. The older players from other teams you mentioned are still having a positive impact and deserve to play. Yes he busts a gut but that is non negotiable. He was poor last night in my opinion and is no longer best 22.

Josh Wagner back into the side
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Rodney (Balls) Grinter's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah he did well I thought. Certainly better than anything Harmes has done recently and with Hibberd sore he's bound to get another gig. Happy for him. -
Given our percentage I reckon 3 wins will do it from here as long as the loss is not a blowout which you would not expect. I doubt any of the teams in the running will win all their remaining matches when you look at the fixture and when you consider the short breaks. Saints on very shaky ground now.
-
More than happy for that to happen if he takes Jonesys spot.

My heart has only just stabilised. Huge win. Steven May is becoming one of the best recruits we've had for an eternity. Credit to Goody, we stopped their run, exactly what we all asked for and it won us the game. Hoohar!!!

GAMEDAY: Rd 14 vs St. Kilda
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
All comes down to workrate of our mids and small forwards. I'm confident with our backline getting the job done but if there is no pressure up the ground with their I50s it will be more of last week. If we lose the game in the same fashion where the doggies waltzed out of their D50 to goal without pressure, Goody can start thinking about an early payout at years end. -

.....and looks like Beavis ! -
That'd be nice....but I'd even settle for a 'Plan B' right now lol.

James Jordon finger surgery from gym incident reported on MFC website.

This has been a glaring concern for what seems like a decade and our recruiters seem none the wiser. We are one of the slowest teams in the comp and have been screaming out for clean ball users with pace in the middle for far too long. Langdon has been a great pickup for the wing but he's unlikely to go into centre bounces where we need it most. We have an abundance of hard nut inside ball winning mids but we simply have to move one of them on to be replaced by what we need. Until this is done we'll get more of the same unfulfilled, wasted seasons for years to come.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Western Bulldogs
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dominated the hitouts but couldn't capitalise. Familiar story. Some very poor disposal that killed us too. (yes it was windy but some if it was horrendous) We seem to struggle to play clean footy against teams that apply constant pressure. Not all is lost, but that was a bitterly disappointing second half with season on the line.
