  1. I agree, but half of those on the list above didn't even play as forwards.
  2. Sorry I haven't replied earlier dc; I've been out in the garden pulling weeds in this lovely sunshine. Survey after survey shows that the ABC is the most trusted news source for Australians. Personally, I don't find them biased like those of a Conservative nature seem to think. That's just my opinion. Others have a different opinion and I'm fine with that, I just don't agree with them.
  3. Sorry ET, not sure what this is supposed to represent.
  4. If you're talking about Heretier, his account has been backed up by other players including skipper Nick Maxwell. It happened.
  5. What media outlet would you say presents a less biased coverage than the ABC, ding?
  6. So neither of them won? Gotta be happy with that.
  7. As much as I've missed footy, I didn't even make it to quarter time before channel surfing.
  8. The seven new players are close to like for like replacements: Bennell/Bedford, Rivers/Hibberd, Jackson/Brown (thank you), Salem/Lockhart, Jones/Spargo, Hunt/ANB and Smith/OMac. I like the look of this side and reckon we'll have a win. Welcome back footy!
  9. My dog once ate some scrabble tiles and his poop made more sense that this post.
  10. I'm trying to tease out what methods might work, other than mass protests in public that garner huge media coverage. The protests in USA, for example, had the effect of Chauvin being charged with second degree murder and also led to his fellow cops (Chauvinist pigs?) being arrested for aiding and abetting. They also brought the racism issue to the forefront. I agree that re-education is the key, albeit a slow process.
  11. Serious? Just said that the emphasis is on the SECOND syllable. What part of that don't you get?
  12. I very much agree with the cause behind the protests and support the protesters. However, my personal view is that the protests shouldn't have happened at this time because of the health risk. My question to you dc is what do you think would constitute an effective demonstration?
  13. In regards to earlier posts querying how to pronounce Harley's surname, I noticed that Goody pronounced it with the emphasis on the second syllable - ie Ben - NELL.
  14. Further to COVID-19, this has just been leaked. The only way it could be any bleaker is if Collingwood win the flag.
  15. Correct me if I'm wrong DJ, but I think the one minute break is a COVID-19 measure that will allow drinks to be given to the players in a safe manner. Hopefully we won't need to keep doing this for a lengthy period of time and the breaks can revert to 30 seconds.
  16. We'd all like far less of Brian, but that's a decision for the broadcaster and not the AFL.
  17. I suspect none of us will even notice the difference.
  18. Don't be mean, I'm sure they'll both turn up.
  19. This might be the first time in history that people go to the drive-in to watch what's on the screen.
  20. HIBBERD!  There's no second "E" at the end.  ?

  21. If things work out the way we all hope they do, we could call the opposite one the Pickett Pocket.
