  1. Hi everyone! We interviewed Gerard Healy for our most recent episode of the Deeluded podcast—please take a listen and let us know what you think! https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/deeluded-the-melbourne-demons-podcast/id1219118375 Gerard had some interesting thoughts on premiership medals for the entire squad (including Chunk), landing Cerra (he thinks we should throw up Weideman plus a pick, which seems ambitious!), and the midfield chess game against the Dogs. Is tagging Libba the answer again? Or are Macrae and Smith the bigger threats? Hope you enjoy it!
  2. Thanks Nasher! I completely agree—we've been overseas for the last few years, so never have any sense who's applying defensive pressure off-screen (which is probably why we've sometimes been a bit harsh on players like Neal-Bullen). Great to get those kinds of insights. (Love "On the Couch" for that reason). All of our journo friends tell us that Kane is one of the hardest working commentators in the game. He's great at making the non-obvious call, which is a good antidote to the anodyne commentary from some other past players.
  3. Thanks Wrecker! Basically, Nita and I both studied law in Aus, moved to the US to become lawyers (and created Deeluded), and then quit our jobs and moved to Mexico City 18 months ago (just before the pandemic). Now working on some TV/podcast projects. All a bit random, really!
  4. Good morning everyone! This week on the Deeluded podcast, we celebrated our brilliant win over Port with an interview with Port-star turned media mogul, Kane Cornes. This interview is fascinating—we discuss Kane's polarising media persona, how Petracca compares to some of the greats that he tagged, and the techniques of his old coach, Mark Williams. Kane can come across a bit brash on the football shows, but we found him to be very thoughtful and reflective—keen to hear what others think. You can listen to the episode here: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/forgetting-todd-marshall-with-kane-cornes/id1219118375?i=1000528818327. If you like it, please subscribe and leave us a review on Apple Podcasts. Thanks so much! Kiran & Nita
  5. Thanks everyone for those thoughtful questions! The full episode is here: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/episode-10-deeluded-turns-100-mfc-president-kate-roffey/id1219118375?i=1000522106266 We covered some interesting ground, including our long-awaited new home base, the soft cap's impact, Simon Goodwin's contract, the future of the AFL-W competition, and Glen Bartlett's departure. Hope you enjoy it!
  6. Hi all, It's the 100th episode of the Deeluded podcast this week, and we're very excited to interview President Kate Roffey. The club's flying at the moment, but there are plenty of big questions for the Board, including finding a new home base. We'd love to know what you'd like us to ask Kate—please leave your questions below, and we'll feature the best ones on the show. Thanks! Kiran & Nita
  7. How good is life right now! This week on the Deeluded podcast, we interview afl.com.au's Cal Twomey about Melbourne's canny list build, Jason Taylor's best pick, Luke Jackson's best position, and our next generation. (Spoiler: Jake Bowey might be a combination of Lachie Whitfield and Caleb Daniel). Plus, we discuss Jonesy's 300th, our hatred of Richmond, and Christian Salem's Brownlow chances. Hope you enjoy it! https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/episode-7-the-deenasty-begins-with-cal-twomey/id1219118375?i=1000518904530
  8. Hi everyone, As you might have heard on Fox Sports, we interviewed Glen Bartlett for this week's episode of the Deeluded podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/deeluded-the-melbourne-demons-podcast/id1219118375 We both were very cynical about the direction of the club, but came away super impressed with Bartlett. The club's finances have dramatically improved, and he didn't strike us as someone who would tolerate another season of mediocrity (especially if we have a "top 4 list"). But we've all been disappointed before! Let us know what you think! Kiran
  9. The Deeluded podcast is back for 2018! Last year, to paraphrase the Simpsons, we saw an overcrowded Dees podcast market and said, "Us, Too!" This year, we're back with a definitely not club-approved take on the team we love. If you're interested in reminiscing about fringe Melbourne players who got a rough deal (I'm looking at you Rohan Bail), this is the podcast for you. Episode 1 is now online. Subscribe to us on your iPhone (search for Deeluded) or listen on Soundcloud (http://tinyurl.com/deesound1). And tweet us @deeludedpodcast! Go Dees!!
  10. Hi everyone, We are two diehard Demons fans living in Washington DC. To deal with the grief of being overseas when the Dees finally become competitive, we have launched a new podcast – Deeluded. It’s filled with in-jokes and niche references for the obsessive supporter, including a weekly Rohan Bail Award for Most Underrated Performance, wildly optimistic predictions about the season, and attacks on Damien Barrett. We’d love for you to check it out! Like the Demons list, it’s a work in progress with uncertain prospects, but we hope you’ll enjoy our unfiltered (and definitely not club approved) take on the team. Subscribe by searching for “Deeluded” in the Podcasts app on your iPhone or by clicking on this link through iTunes (http://tinyurl.com/deeluded). Alternatively, you can access every episode on Soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/user-642544778). And tweet us @deeludedpodcast. Looking forward to celebrating as our VFL-midfield beats Carlton this week. Go Dees! Kiran and Nita
