Dees Dominate 22under22 Squad
Does "under 22" refer to Jaidyn Stephenson's IQ?
-
The Melbourne - Norwood connection
Neil Balme has been appointed as Head of Football at the Adelaide Crows, which is a very good get for them.

UMPIRES - Some Stats
I don't have the transcript to hand, but here's a photo of a recent interview with an umpire.

Melbourne Demons: Anything Is Possible - Finals 2021
Hmmmm. Is it just coincidence that jumbo likes this post? Further, is it true that jumbo's all-time favourite album is Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk"?

FINALS: Week 01 2021 (NON MFC)
I don't want either of them to be winners tonight, but clearly one of the teams has to prevail. It's then a matter of who I would take most pleasure out of seeing lose and, on that basis, I find myself in the unfamiliar position of hoping that Port wins ... by a kick after the siren.

TEAMS: QF vs Brisbane
My concerns with Hibbo are that, in recent games, he has been very fumbly with the footy and prone to slipping over, both of which are usually signs of a career in decline. I'll back the Footy Department to make the right call.

Are those jumbo jets (or gumbo gets)?

Brownlow tipping. 1,2,3 and club best total.
As mentioned earlier, he is ineligible due to suspension.

Melbourne Demons: Anything Is Possible - Finals 2021
Excellent work and nice to hear some decent accompanying music for a change.

Vale Charlie Watts
I was living in Warrnambool in 1976 and waited outside the record shop for it to open on the day that "Black And Blue" was released and thus become the first person in town to own a copy. From there, it was straight home to listen to it on headphones three times in a row. You might say I was rather obsessed with The Stones! Today I'm wearing an old t-shirt that has a large picture of Charlie on the front with the caption "Charlie Watts And His Fabulous Rolling Stones" written in large letters.

TEAMS: QF vs Brisbane
The decision has been taken to retain the same 22 that got the job done last game. What is unknown until about an hour before the game is which of the four emergencies will be the sub.

Max Gawn’s goal - the commentary
It was Petracca standing on the mark.

TEAMS: QF vs Brisbane
No change is justified. Id be surprised if Jordon isn't the sub.

Brian Taylor in hospital after gas explosion at home
So Brian Taylor now has something in common with Niki Lauder and Margaret Houlihan. Hey, that can be this week's quiz! PM answer to me if you know what I'm referring to.

Which Dees Players Grew Up Supporting Us?
Ollie was from Echuca and that's where he and Jack Viney were childhood mates. With a name like Wines, Port does seem the obvious choice however.

Teague Sacked
He could have hidden it, but Carlton people have never been keen on the cap.

Teague Sacked
It's about to hit the shelves. Here is a sneak preview of their chapter about The Teague Train. Anybody who doesn't feel a little sense of schadenfreude at Carlton's plight would be Lyon. .

Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
Yep, that's an eyebrow-raising suggestion that I'm not even sure is permitted under the rules.

2021 Injury List
Referring to the "games experience named on the injury list"? If so, add up the number of career games played by those players on the injury list and there's your total. In our case, it consists primarily of Tomlinson (160 odd) and Hunt (90 odd) plus Marty Hore's few.

Hassa Mann to be interviewed on Nine news tonight
Hassa wasn't originally from Western Australia, having grown up in Merbein in the Sunraysia region and being recruited from Rutherglen where he'd been transferred with his work. He left Melbourne to coach South Fremantle in 1969. Like you martin, I was shattered as Hassa was my hero!
