MFCSS
No, stuff it. Enough of the negativity, the doom and gloom and pessimism, the whining and moaning, thinking that the AFL and the umpires have it in for us, that we never have any luck, the self pitying and all that feeble-minded talk of curses, upsetting the footy gods, tempting fate and all that superstitious nonsense. The time is now. 2021 is our year. Be positive, have belief, support our boys, think like a winner, embrace success and enjoy life as a Melbourne supporter. Go Demons.

Throwing the Ball
Life imitates sport. My cat just threw up a furball.

MFCSS
I've noticed a lot of posters quoting their feelings of MFCSS in the lead up to our Preliminary Final against Geelong. It's time we reclaimed this negative acronym, make it our own and wear it with pride. My proposal is that, henceforth, we assign the following meaning to the term: Melbourne Football Club September Specialists

Got his just desserts?

FINALS: Week 02 2021 (NON MFC)
We get 14 days off. Shouldn't make any difference to either team.

It's certainly not because purple is a combination of red and blue.

FINALS: Week 02 2021 (NON MFC)
It would be a thrill to see Big Mummy reprise the role of Big Carl in the last round of 1980.

Is your real name Jimmy? The Jimmy?

How young were you when Barass last raised the cup?
Did that come before or after your immaculate conception?

How young were you when Barass last raised the cup?
Howdy Rollo, great to hear from you again. You are correct and your mate is not - it was Micky Bone whom Crompton followed up the ground.

Hats off to Kate Roffey
But why? It just sounds like immature retribution along the "two wrongs make a right" school of thought. This pandemic is not about politics. It is a major health issue that impacts on people regardless of who they vote for.

Better to be woke than asleep at the wheel, I suppose.

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURS
How would our straight kicking help to keep Brisbane under five goals?

Will you be satisfied with the Season of 2021 even if we lose the Preliminary Final
The time is now and only a flag will satisfy me. Just about everything has gone right this year and we've had a lot of luck with injuries (not just the very few we've suffered but the ones to important players our opposition have copped). We may not find ourselves in such a great position again and can't just assume we'll make it next year. This year has the feeling of Richmond 2017 about it to me and we must capitalise on the opportunity.

COVID & AFL 2021
Seatbelts don't guarantee you won't get injured in a car crash, but you'd be foolish not to wear one. Parachutes don't guarantee you'll survive a fall out of a plane, but your odds of survival might be a tad better. Get vaccinated. You'd be a fool not to.

Hats off to Kate Roffey
That comes across as quite nasty, vindictive and childish, Doug. Why would you want to punish innocent players and supporters?

Adam Cerra
This assumes that: a) Weid is prepared to go to Freo. b) Freo want him.

Damien Barrett
I don't think Damien actually knows what the term "sliding door moment" means.

AFLPA Awards
The players voted for these awards, not the public.

Adam Cerra
No. His family live in Melbourne and accommodate young Demon draftees.

The Rebuild of Melbourne's List - Mongrel Punt Article
Thanks EO, that was an entertaining read. This puzzles me though: It’s a little alarming to think that from the 2005 Draft all the way to 2012 – just five players are on Melbourne’s list: Among those are Max Gawn, Tom McDonald and Nathan Jones. The fourth would be Jetta, but who is the fifth?

Word is that Ross has a job lined up with the Eagles. Even with those sunglasses on, he can't hide those Lyon eyes. (sorry)

I have no idea what he wants (nor do you) but I would confidently assume that being part of team success/premierships is a most attractive proposition. I also don't think he warrants a pay cut in the magnitude that you are suggesting.
