If it's a tattoo, it's the worst one I've ever seen. If it's a birthmark, I wonder how long he's had it for.

Leaving political allegiances completely out of it, it's instructive that a male former Premier is attacked for his actions but a female former Premier is attacked for her appearance.

Nobody's interested in hearing about your IQ, Craig.

It's the Charge Of The Not Too Bright Brigade.

That's funny, SWYL. He's starting to remind me of old mate Pickett2Jackson who "coincidentally" and uncharacteristically hasn't posted a thing for a least a week now.
-
That resumes as from next week. We'll have to wait until Saturday evening to see our line-up.

What "survey"? I think most of us aren't even vaguely interested in the concept.

Fans will burn the joint down if he makes a hash of it.

Goodwin has confirmed that Weideman will come in to replace Jackson.

I think it was just after people started saying "anyways" instead of "anyway".

There is a widespread assumption that, if Weid were to leave, he would automatically go to Collingwood. I understand the family connection but we don't know if he wants to go there or if indeed Collingwood are interested in recruiting him. Furthermore, they have very little to offer in return. Weideman for Daicos anybody?

Do you know what laconic means?

Whoever suggested Bowey in is clearly a lad insane. Carlton-supporting acquaintance reckons Cripps won't play. Given his recent form, I'm not sure whether that would be a good thing or a bad thing for us.

I'll have a dip! Rum affliction made ship sail behind Mauritius (1st Class) initially. (5)

My sentiments exactly, Jaded. This press release from AFL Headquarters may help explain things. A WIN FOR FANS WITH LATEST BRAVE DECISION 19 minutes ago - available via the app Staff writer - 11 May 2021 Widely regarded for noble acts of selflessness, the AFL has continued to put fans first, taking a bold step in permitting Thursday night team announcements once again. League headquarters have been working frantically to solve a problem they created. The outcry from fans prompted the courageous decision. An administrator could not hide his delight today, when asked for comment. ‘We are just so thrilled to deliver the fans what they ask for. It’s one way to show just how much we value your contribution to our game, especially the financial one.’ The announcement finally landed after yesterday’s announcement about the announcement, and the announcement last week to announce that. The reintroduction does however, require teams to name their entire roster on Thursday evenings, with the final team decided seven minutes before the start of the match. ‘Yeah look it will present a great challenge to teams, selecting a side so close to the bounce, but we encourage this, it really fits with the league’s theme of making rushed decisions on the fly.’ This comes after the league made an equally heroic decision to return full-length quarters in 2021, irrespective of the fact this was the case for 25 years prior. ‘It is fundamentally about showing the fans how important they are. Not quite as much as our corporate partners and key stakeholders, but trust me - your views count,’ the executive claimed. ‘You are critical in ensuring our fat bonuses are paid…errr I mean, that our game continues to thrive.’ The league pointed to the incredibly successful introduction of behavioural awareness officers at matches, spying on fans, purely to understand what they really want. 'That is the sole reason we have employed these people at our venues…they are listening to every word you say.'

Thursday night team announcement officially back from round 10 (ie. next week). It's beyond me why they couldn't have re-introduced this fan favourite earlier, but at least it's finally happening.

Watch it daisycutter. I know jui jitsu, karate, judo, tae kwon do and several more words from other countries.

Are you calling our players meatheads? Come here and say that!

Potential priority pick for Kangas
Demonstone replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
No apology required, but I reckon I've heard nearly every club except ours called that at some stage. Again, it wasn't personal. I just see it as another symptom of "The AFL hates us" self-pitying defeatism and negativity that has pervaded this forum for a long time. Some call it MFCSS. ? -

Not attacking you personally here Jaded, but that phrase and "bathwater" are surely the two most overused and abused terms that keep popping up on this forum ad nauseam. -

Anyone who thinks that Trigon honestly reckons we should drop Gawn has missed the joke.
-
Sorry Craig, you'll have to help me out here mate. I've tried and failed to work out what that stands for. edit: Petracca, Oliver, Gawn?
-
Just as a QB aside, we won't need to worry about Jeremy Howe who will miss most of the rest of the season after requiring surgery to repair damage caused when he aggravated scar tissue on his hamstring at training on Saturday.

I'm a bit surprised that Luke Parker didn't get a vote. He seemed to bob up with annoying frequency, particularly around those much discussed centre clearances. edit: I just checked his stats to see if it was just my imagination, and he had 32 disposals, 4 marks, 5 tackles and 7 clearances. That's a good day's work by any standard.
