  1. Thanks for clarifying E25. I was obviously blind-sided by the ambiguous wording on the MFC site.
  2. I'd like to think we are leading the way! Certainly the mentoring roles played by 'Wheels" and Arron have been very, very important, and I also think the work we are doing in the indigenous communities will prove very important now and in the long-term (ie. win/win for the communities and the MFC))
  3. Couldn't agree more yul. This is a an incredibly positive thread about two stars of the future, but the photo shines every bit as brightly for me!
  4. I doubt that he hates Melbourne, but I do think he has lost a fair bit of the the 'plot' since joining the media. Listen closely to his commentary....... he says some very odd things at times. Maybe he's just grand-standing.
  5. I think you are being far too kind to Leigh Matthews dee-luded.
  6. You may be correct 45, but the MFC website states the following in relation to 3-game memberships: "New in 2010, we are pleased to introduce the 3-game membership for just $84".
  7. This tally may contain the new three match memberships, which would be a positive, but not nearly as positive as season memberships would be.
  8. You make your point very well Jaded.
  9. Reality check? Absolutely! Time to hit the panic button and write players and coaching staff off? Don't be so bloody naive (stupid?)! It was very disappointing to be beaten in just about every aspect of the game today, and the scoreboard could very easily have looked much worse for us if WCE had capitalised on their opportunities ....... but we are only 10% along a very steep learning curve, for God's sake! 'Lows' like today, along with some 'highs' (like our win over Brisbane), will be the norm for the next year or so. But undoubtedly, the 'highs' will progressively become more dominant as we get games into our youngsters.
  10. 6. McDonald 5. Grimes 4. Moloney 3. Jamar 2. McKenzie 1. Watts
  11. You guys who live in Melbourne make this Canberra based former public servant so bloody envious! Yell 'Go Dees' for me today, as I sit glued to a screen and yell along with you. Go Dees!
  12. Absolutely right! You just can't speak too highly of the present Board, Administration and Football Departments for turning things around so quickly. The new facility (if it eventuates) will just add to the very rosy future which is taking shape.
  13. Great news! The momentum continues to build.
  14. Hughes? I know he's only had one game, but the FD obviously see some quality there. I'd love him to remain fit for the rest of the year, to see how well (or otherwise) he develops with an injury-free run.
  15. Great stuff. The tide is really starting to turn for our great club.
  16. Pathetic comment IMO. I'm not unhappy that Gysmo is now on our list and Brock isn't, but Brock gave a lot to the MFC, both on and off the field, including substantial contributions to Debt Demolition.
  17. Sorry billy. It was BIH who suggested that in the opening post, and I have already corrected my post.
  18. I think we would all agree that if Barts had his time over again, he would have handled that situation differently, and the alternate approach might not have led to a Dogs goal .......... however bih's suggestion that he should "probably be dropped" on the basis of that one poor decision is what I find perplexing. It's not that he had a 'shocker', or that his decision making has been a persistent problem. His form and decision making since his recall to the team have been solid and reliable, at the very least.
  19. Fair call. Good first post pm24.
  20. Unsubstantiated call IMO. There were lots of errors made by Melbourne players over four quarters of football in difficult conditions against the Dogs. When looked at in isolation, it could be argued that plenty of them 'cost us the game'. Why would you single out Bartram? Personally, I think his form has been good since his recall to the team. His decision making overall has been very solid, and he has kept some good players very quiet. I can't agree with your assessment that he "probably should be dropped".
  21. At a guess, probably younger than the real Barrie Vagg.
  22. Excellent. Looks like being part of a complete midfield group to me! Well done Tom.
