  1. Very satisfying win. My thoughts on our best / mostinfluential. Petracca Melksham Gawn Langford Oliver Fritsch Just outside my top 6: Salem, TMac
  2. Nice win. Very good second half. A few random observations: Melks in outstanding form. Leadership personified in our forward line; Great to see a few of our experienced players back approaching their best, after a quiet run of form (Tracc, Clarrie, Salo, Chin, Fritta); Max a step closer to to AA number 8; Langford playing like a 100 game veteran. Will become a ā€˜household name’; Some of our youngsters looking very weary (X, Windsor). End of season can’t come soon enough for them, I expect; Not yet fully convinced by Jeffo, but today was a step in the right direction. Keep it up, young fella; Horrendous hit on Spaz. He was ā€˜out to it’ before his head bounced after hitting the ground. Fingers firmly crossed for him. Loved the turn around in the goals to points ratio. Delivery into the forward half had a fair bit to do with that.
  3. I’m hoping for a win by such a big margin, that there won’t be another post in the ā€˜Time to Go Goody’ thread for a month. ………. but I’m tipping a margin of about 4 goals in our favour, after a hard fight. I’ll do my best to ignore the ā€œTime to Go Goodyā€ thread for a month, should the unthinkable happen.
  4. Skill errors galore by both teams at the half Nobody apart from Howes, and perhaps, Adams pressing for senior selection at this stage.
  5. Sadly not where I live, but so be it. I’ll resort to my ā€˜phone and the AFL site.
  6. Well spotted Harvey. TMac recalled for Maysie (ill)
  7. I almost invariably back team selections by our Match Committee (who are much better placed than any of us to make these calls) but I will make the observation that Fritta will need to serve up a much, much better effort than his ā€˜limp wet lettuce’ performance in Adelaide. He is much better than that!
  8. I’m incredibly saddened to hear this news. Never to be forgotten. RIP Dicko #9
  9. Fantastic ā€˜duo Pod’ last night guys. Constructive, informative and a damn good listen as always! Thank you for keeping us Demon tragics sain during the tough times! ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  10. From reports and observations, Luker Kentfield has some strong qualities that will translate well to AFL. He seems to be developing well, with good recent VFL form. My questions for the Panel: Has Luker done enough to earn a place ahead of Jeffo for a spot in our forward half? The Jeffo experiment doesn’t seem to be working at present. If Petty needs another week in the Protocols (which seems a possibility given his recent concussion history) is next week too soon to give Luker a taste at the top level? Love your work guys. Thank you!
  11. For the most part I loved the overall intensity and effort from our boys. May Viney Turner Melksham Pickett Bowey Riv, Max and Lingers deserve a mention.
  12. I look forward to Luker’s debut in 2025!
  13. I’ve seen enough to suggest that he has a future. Just needs more consistency at the top level, and his pre season stress fractures (back) may well have influenced that.
  14. The required intensity and effort were there for most of the game, and AFL level skills were on show at times. Sadly however, a few of our experienced players seem past it, and some of the ā€˜future’ we’ve been banking on, are really struggling to have a positive impact. It’s now become a critical run up to the end of the season for some at our Club, both on and off the field!
  15. If the Crows take a W for granted, and we take advantage of our opportunities in front of goal, then we are a slim chance. But, being brutally honest, the chances of those stars aligning are pretty slim. I want to see us have a red hot crack for four quarters, all of our ā€˜seniors’ to show the way, and our ā€˜youngsters’ to start believing that they really belong at the level. This game, like the remainder of the season, is a litmus test for everyone who wants a spot on our list next season. Let’s see what they make of it. I’m hoping for lots of positive signs.
  16. Another great pod folks! Even in these somber times for our Club, I always find the pods both balanced and informative. Thank you!
  17. Melksham Pickett Gawn Viney Bowey Petracca
  18. If we’ve been refreshed by the break, and can find the big sticks more often than not, we are a slim chance. I know it’s a big IF, but I’m sticking with the ā€œteam we loveā€, cos I always do. Dees by not much! ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  19. I’m 100% with you od ……… and the last thing folks of our vintage need, is a favourite footy team that seems intent on adding to that pain!
  20. I understand where you are coming from Roger, but he has also played his best games when introduced as sub. Maybe that’s what our MC have in mind. PS. I know it seems like weird logic, but ………
  21. Many thanks for another enjoyable and insightful pod guys. As an interstate member, Demonland, and the Podcasts, are my ā€˜lifeline’ into everything Dee’s! Enjoy the bye guys ……… you’ve well and truly earned it! ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  22. A heartbreaking loss, with too many ā€˜heartbreakers’ to mention! Even the six players below, let the team, themselves and us supporters down on occasions with sloppy or careless disposal or lack of awareness. Gawn Bowey Turner Fritsch McVee Howes
  23. Highly commendable effort, and yet again, far too much of it went unrewarded! We’ve seen this story before! Something needs to change, and now that this season is all but over, we need to plan for the future. The second half of the season is huge in that regard. Go for it Dees! ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  24. If we can come within a point of beating C’wood (with all the assistance they were gifted), Port shouldn’t pose too many problems. So long as we bring the true Demon Spirit, we’ll win by 5 goals or so ā¤ļøšŸ’™ If we don’t, well that could be a different story. But we will, and that’s that!!!
