POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
Nice win. Very good second half. A few random observations: Melks in outstanding form. Leadership personified in our forward line; Great to see a few of our experienced players back approaching their best, after a quiet run of form (Tracc, Clarrie, Salo, Chin, Fritta); Max a step closer to to AA number 8; Langford playing like a 100 game veteran. Will become a āhousehold nameā; Some of our youngsters looking very weary (X, Windsor). End of season canāt come soon enough for them, I expect; Not yet fully convinced by Jeffo, but today was a step in the right direction. Keep it up, young fella; Horrendous hit on Spaz. He was āout to itā before his head bounced after hitting the ground. Fingers firmly crossed for him. Loved the turn around in the goals to points ratio. Delivery into the forward half had a fair bit to do with that.

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
Iām hoping for a win by such a big margin, that there wonāt be another post in the āTime to Go Goodyā thread for a month. ā¦ā¦ā¦. but Iām tipping a margin of about 4 goals in our favour, after a hard fight. Iāll do my best to ignore the āTime to Go Goodyā thread for a month, should the unthinkable happen.

CASEY: Rd 16 vs Werribee
Skill errors galore by both teams at the half Nobody apart from Howes, and perhaps, Adams pressing for senior selection at this stage.

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
I almost invariably back team selections by our Match Committee (who are much better placed than any of us to make these calls) but I will make the observation that Fritta will need to serve up a much, much better effort than his ālimp wet lettuceā performance in Adelaide. He is much better than that!

PODCAST: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
From reports and observations, Luker Kentfield has some strong qualities that will translate well to AFL. He seems to be developing well, with good recent VFL form. My questions for the Panel: Has Luker done enough to earn a place ahead of Jeffo for a spot in our forward half? The Jeffo experiment doesnāt seem to be working at present. If Petty needs another week in the Protocols (which seems a possibility given his recent concussion history) is next week too soon to give Luker a taste at the top level? Love your work guys. Thank you!

For the most part I loved the overall intensity and effort from our boys. May Viney Turner Melksham Pickett Bowey Riv, Max and Lingers deserve a mention.

Koltyn Tholstrup Re-Signs until 2028
Iāve seen enough to suggest that he has a future. Just needs more consistency at the top level, and his pre season stress fractures (back) may well have influenced that.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
The required intensity and effort were there for most of the game, and AFL level skills were on show at times. Sadly however, a few of our experienced players seem past it, and some of the āfutureā weāve been banking on, are really struggling to have a positive impact. Itās now become a critical run up to the end of the season for some at our Club, both on and off the field!

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
If the Crows take a W for granted, and we take advantage of our opportunities in front of goal, then we are a slim chance. But, being brutally honest, the chances of those stars aligning are pretty slim. I want to see us have a red hot crack for four quarters, all of our āseniorsā to show the way, and our āyoungstersā to start believing that they really belong at the level. This game, like the remainder of the season, is a litmus test for everyone who wants a spot on our list next season. Letās see what they make of it. Iām hoping for lots of positive signs.

If weāve been refreshed by the break, and can find the big sticks more often than not, we are a slim chance. I know itās a big IF, but Iām sticking with the āteam we loveā, cos I always do. Dees by not much! ā¤ļøš

POSTGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Highly commendable effort, and yet again, far too much of it went unrewarded! Weāve seen this story before! Something needs to change, and now that this season is all but over, we need to plan for the future. The second half of the season is huge in that regard. Go for it Dees! ā¤ļøš

GAMEDAY: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
If we can come within a point of beating Cāwood (with all the assistance they were gifted), Port shouldnāt pose too many problems. So long as we bring the true Demon Spirit, weāll win by 5 goals or so ā¤ļøš If we donāt, well that could be a different story. But we will, and thatās that!!!
