  1. Yep. Same knee, as reported in another thread.
  2. Excellent post Dappa, and I agree wholeheartedly with most of what you have said. A question: Do you think the run-with roles that Dunny was given over the previous couple of years were a deliberate strategy to develop the defensive side of his game in anticipation of his present role, or do you think this is just coincidental?
  3. Emphaticallly seconded!!
  4. I purchased a tile back in 2001, and received a replica which sits here beside me amongst all of my other MFC memorabilia. That more than meets my personal requirements. However, I really value DemonSG and all others who share my passion for the Melbourne Football Club, and are/were prepared to part with their hard-earned to support the Club in tough times.
  5. They reported on Canberra radio that Beamer had injured a quad at training on Friday. Not sure about reliability, but if it's accurate it seems like a new injury.
  6. 6. Frawley 5. Dunn 4. Green 3. Jurrah 2. Davey 1. Rivers
  7. I'd certainly buy one of them from the Club.
  8. It must have been a great evening for so many reasons. Thanks for sharing it with us Jack.
  9. Schwaby has done an outstanding job at the helm. Thank God Jimma and the Board had the courage to remove Paul McNamee only a short time into his contract. I imagine it cost us money (which we couldn't afford at the time), but in my wildest dreams I can't imagine the the Melbourne Football Club being in the position it is in today with McNamee as CEO.
  10. Only Jimmy really knows, but my guess is that its more likely to be his love for the Melbourne Football Club, and gratitude for the opportunity it afforded him to make a life in this great country.
  11. An outstanding day for the Melbourne Football Club. My heart is bursting with pride. Now boys, demolish those Tigers!!
  12. Magnificent!! Enough to make an old fart like me a bit teary eyed!
  13. 6. Sylvia 5. McKenzie 4. Garland 3. Jamar 2. MacDonald 1. Frawley Edit: wrong Mc /Mac .......
  14. That sums it up nicely No16. Another fantastic story about our great Club, which is (hopefully) on the verge of becoming a great team.
  15. Addam would have known before the Swan's game that it was most likely to be a 'one game' opportunity, given the forced omissions we had, and the liklihood that at least one would be returning this week. If he is the professional that he should be as an AFL footballer, he will take it on the chin, and continue to work his backside off at Casey.
  16. Great initiative Ascobar. I hope our team can put up a mighty performance for grandad on the weekend! I'd try a tweet to Schwabby, if you can cover the essentials in such a short message.
  17. Great memories indeed. Events not likely to be repeated in 2010, but I will be very content with three more wins, and the belief that we will see September action in 2011.
  18. I don't think Moloney was ever going to play, and in that sence, I don't think Wonna was a 'late replacement' (other than than on paper). Wonna will play in Brisbane.
  19. Great. Thanks for the report KC. Fantastic that Tapscott was amongst the best so early in his VFL career.
  20. Outstanding team effort, the best sustained four quarters for many years. Makes it very difficult to nominate our best, but here's my stab anyway: 6. Frawley 5. Green 4. Sylvia 3. Bruce 2. Jamar 1. Bartram Apologies to the remaining 16 ...... sorry but I couldn't fit you in.
  21. I couldn't agree more. I was very privleged to have Cam talk me through the story-line a while back, and it is simply brilliant. If you love the look of the emblem, I promise you will be 'over the moon' when you understand the story that underpins it.
  22. Sad to see such an illustrious career end in this way IMO.
  23. According to MFC website "[Jordan] Gysberts might be a chance to play next round (after a back injury), but he's more likely to come through the VFL if available.”
  24. Well I've got you covered old dee. The fond memories of '64 still bring a tear to my eye, but nothing like the flood of emotion that will (unashamedly) accompany our next Flag ......... and I can honestly say that the 'potential' on our current list is considerably stronger than at any time since that great day in September '64.
  25. Probably the closest thr RS has been for years. I voted Jack Trengove on the assumption that he will be back next week or the week after. I have him just a whisker ahead of Hannebery at the moment.
