  1. As long as it's not the other Dom we have on the list.
  2. Neeld re-signed him on the back of 3 junk time goals in that comeback win over GWS in 2013. List management at its finest. Believe it or not i'd have rather kept Tapscott and sacked Evans.
  3. Yeah Roosy would regard that as a poor win if we leaked 16 goals. If we beat GC in round 1 it would be more like a 12 goal to 9 affair.
  4. 7. Has a bit of Jack Grimes in him. In that he is a lovely articulate fella... whether he can play footy is really a secondary thought.
  5. Agreed. Our defence is actually not too bad on paper. Our forward line and midfield is atrocious. Lever at pick 3 makes no sense. Absolutley no sense.
  6. Why pick a guy that's just done his knee and will have question marks going fwd, when you've got the opportunity of selecting your gun full forward for the next 15 years in McCartin? It just doesn't make sense.
  7. I don't get it, doesn't he have a baby to look after? One minute he's posted himself surfing in Bali, the next minute having beers at the races with Bernard Vince and now this....
  8. No, vehemently disagree. It's the best clash jumper we've had and one of the best in the league. I'd be happy for them to wear it in more away games.
  9. In round 1 last year, St Kilda were missing Montaga, Hayes and Steven and we still stunk it up. I'm not falling for that trap anymore.
  10. If we end up overlooking McCartin for Lever, are we picking up Lever because he's a lovely person who is as articulate as Jack Grimes or because the club considers him the third best player in the draft?
  11. If found guilty surely he won't be spending time in the clink, for a bit of a dust up, right?
  12. Riley is the worst kick at the club - even worse that McKenzie. As a result I don't expect him to make it.
  13. The Afl has gifted us a joke of an easy draw, for the prime reason of enabling us to rise up the ladder. We play St.kilda, GWS, and Bulldogs twice. We don't have to play Carlton, Essendon or North at Etihad. We play 1 less game at Etihad than last year. We travel only 5 times - as much as Essendon and Collingwood. We play 13 games at our home ground- 1 more than last year. We have been given a commercially horrible draw. And we bloody well deserve it as we have been a disgrace of an organisation since 2007. What's there to complain about?
  14. Agree.Prime example was in 2005 - Melbourne v West Coast we got 36,000 at the MCG when we we're flying. Even in 2006 we got 27,000 to a Fremantle game at the G. In 1998 we even got 60,000 to a Sydney game on a Monday night Don't worry, Melbourne supporters are out there.
  15. Very optimistic Mr Old Dee.Even if finals on the line, 75% of our supporters wouldn't turn up to Etihad because it's too far away from East Melbourne.
  16. Bummer. A crowd of 8000 would have ensured we kept playing home games at Etihad.
  17. Would Michael Evans be willing to end his career so we can get Newton?
  18. Agree, Garland is a good afl footballer.I actually posed the question around here, whether he was the best player at the club- after our rd 13 2013 loss to StKilda . He was A-grade material that night.
  19. A no for me. We have enough turnover merchants.
  20. I don't know a thing about this player but it's promising that Port were keen to retain him but he chose to leave for more opportunity. And I think it's fair to say that if you're a midfielder that has 2 legs and 2 arms, you'll probably get a gig at Melbourne.
  21. Round 23 - Melbourne v GWS - Etihad Stadium, Sunday. Anyone like to take a guess of the crowd number for this one? 8,000?
  22. Going by recent meetings with these rubbish clubs, we'll go 0-4.
  23. Agree.1:10pm Sunday games are a great time slot for families and for those that want to do stuff after 4pm. I like it better than the 3:20 Sundays.
