Also well respected in business community and brings business/marketing expertise to the committee. I'm not sure about the others, so any information welcome. I shall not vote for Adrian Anderson!

I didn't see the match but reading the above votes, it's not often that everyone agrees on best player. Clarry must have played one hell of a good game!

Love the videos, thanks, but-"the much maligned" "Watts has arrived" etc etc, some of these commentators are real gold coated f*** wits. And it was Hibberd's spoil as much as anything that won us the day. A near certain goal saved. That game had it all including a near heart attack to me.

The lad seems to be one of those very fast learners, here's wishing him the best for Sunday.

If he's any good, and it appears he is, he may well Land with a team that finishes further down the ladder. Pity there's no grandfather/grandson rule!. Good old BGS, great facilities and all for just $30K a year.

Thanks for the comprehensive report D77. Your thoughts on Joel (S.O.S.) Smith please. I was a little surprised at his selection in the team given how little time he's been back from injury.

And to further hi jack Buggy's thread. I was in a lift at the MCG a few weeks ago with Matthews, asked him how he got on with Steve Smith these days, Matthews looked sheepish and said he doesn't see much of him: of course, said I, he's president of the MCC now, done well for himself. I then left the lift. Back to Bugg. We knew what we were getting when we signed him up. Anyone who saw our last match against GWS at docklands in 2015 would know his temperament. He's always been a bit of a hot head.

White and Wagner were simply not up to it: 4/5 years ago they would have been best 22, so we have come a long way but unfortunately our depth is still too shallow.

I watched Dangerfield on Talking Footy the other night: smart, articulate bloke and far, far better than the other panelists. Also very well regarded by people in Geelong

I thought he was correct in saying the Melbourne team has no finals experience yet and that next year would probably be better. I tend to agree with him.

This lane is a big tourist attraction- written up in many tour guides. This mural is great publicity for the Melbourne Football Club, and it further enhances our image with kids. You can't buy this sort of publicity/ exposure!!!!!

The MFC still has to pay its way to the MCC but its a bit like paying board to a parent while the other clubs pay rent.
