  1. I didn’t say I wanted a player who just bombed it long. I said I would like Bowey to ADD trunk and long kicking sometimes. It isn’t either/or.
  2. The only problem I see with Bowey is that, unlike Hunt, he rarely kicks long or runs the ball out of defence. Yes, he passes accurately to the next guy, but it takes longer to clear the defensive area. And sometimes there’s a big advantage to our forwards in getting the ball quickly into attack. Maybe he can add more kicking depth and run to his game next season.
  3. You all have too much time on your hands!
  4. That was the other line I was considering 😀
  5. Interesting use of the word ‘caste’ there, Bitter. So do you mean cast aside, as in put aside? Or is there a deeper meaning just lacking a couple of commas. Ie, ‘I hereby declare and, caste aside, etc?’ 😜
  6. Or even a shoo-in. a person or thing that is certain to succeed, especially someone who is certain to win a competition. "he was a shoo-in for re-election"
  7. Thanks for your considerable work, Deespic. Excellent analysis that brings back memories. In my view, Jarman was heaps better than O’Dwyer. And I really can’t see Miller as high as 76. But it’s all opinion anyway. Looking forward to the next instalment.
  8. Same could have been said of Jackson until halfway through 2021. (Although he managed to double grab a few.) Then he held the marks and finished the season as a star in our Premiership. Come on, Sam! Same thing awaits you.
  9. Likewise. That’d be great. Where are you moving from?
  10. Amazing effort, Werridee. Thanks.
  11. Hey, Grr-owl…. That’s when we’re expecting to return. We might have to navigate a lot of stuff around that time. Phone plans, electricity suppliers, furnishings, etc. But the daunting thing is the move and the crazy costs associated with it. Bonne chance, ami.
  12. Received my voucher for 2022. I can confirm that the subscription covers past seasons’ games from 2017.
  13. Not so for my membership. I have been able to watch the previous two or three seasons. I haven’t updated the login for 2022 yet, but I expect the same to apply.
  14. That’s how I watch all the games. It’s brilliant (unless you download and watch off-line, when the resolution is poor). You’ll get access to all of the games from recent seasons. And all the Fox Footy shows like On The Couch and AFL 360.
  15. Ten only. But then I can’t remember much of anything these days. Unless it was 50 years ago.
  16. Anyone trying to watch the live stream? Just music now.
  17. Thank you. Great to see some of my boyhood heroes.
  18. I admire the idea and your effort, but I think you spent too much time chatting about irrelevant things. I gave up after 20 minutes when you hadn’t even started talking about the game.
  19. Just wondering if this event is going to be recorded for us poor fans who live overseas? Anyone know?
  20. Or might they be thinking that if drafted to Melbourne they would struggle to get a game? Whereas at GC or other cellar-dweller they could be a star next year.
  21. What strikes me with these is how every player contributed to our great win. Not just the stars, but those with fewer possessions kept at it with a shepherd, a knock-on, a tackle, a block. Like TMac on the goal line, Kozzy’s protection of Trac. I can’t tell you how wonderful it feels to watch these highlights. I’ll be back tomorrow.
