Good one. I started out wanting to speak fluent French. Then it slipped to making do. I thought of teaching 70 million French people to speak English but gave that up too. Now like you, I just speak English with a French accent.

Some of you know I’ve had a number of health issues to deal with over the last couple of years. I saw my heart specialist today and all is good. We were speaking French (as best I can) and I could swear he said “your heart beats true”.

What a week! I got the all clear from my kidney doctor… kidney function back and dialysis no longer a threat. I sold our house for a profit, which is unheard of in rural France. And, if you hadn’t already heard, MY TEAM WON THE PREMIERSHIP!

Ok, you got me. When I go to the local bar, i wear this Tee shirt and work my way across. (It’s how I get my five fruit and veg per day.) But they don’t have the footy today.

Thé game starts at 11:15 am for me. I’ve never developed a taste for morning alcohol but I’ll start at half time. Here’s the plan… If we’re well in front at half time I’ll have a rosé or three. If it’s very close, I’ll go for white. And if we’re in trouble, red. If we’re so far behind we can’t win it, I’ll opt for Spirytus Vodka.
