Bonsoir from France. I don’t think there are other Demon supporters near me, but that hasn’t stopped me from flying the scarf in the car, putting that little membership sticker on the number plate and wearing the MFC cap whenever I go out. Plus I’m wearing the jumper around the house. Big screen awaits. Just need the cheese platter. 😀 Vive les Démons.

Jones was on his best behaviour. Only said “bl00dy” twice this time. Seriously, I have never heard him speak - even in an interview immediately after a game - without him managing to use that word. Not that it’s a bad word, but it must be one of his favourites. 😀

I noticed in previous years there were times when umpires continued to give votes to players after they had become ineligible. I wasn’t able to watch the count this year, so I don’t know if this happened again. But I've always thought that it’s a silly act to waste a vote that could have gone to another worthy recipient. Did anyone notice it this year?

Good effort by our boys. Would have loved Clarry to win it, but the coaches’ award is actually a better indication of a player’s value than what the umpires think. The status of the two is the wrong way around.

I don’t know any Bulldogs supporters. (I remember a boy in primary school barracking for Footscray. That was in 1957 and I haven’t seen or heard of him since 1962.) Who are these Bulldogs supporters? And what are they like? Feel free to exercise all your favourite cliches and biases in an effort to enlighten me.
