PREGAME: Rd 01 vs GWS
another Du.b Dee sorry Dub Dee suggestion about Langford. BTW if Chandler gets a guernsey starting why not use him as a tagger? Doesn’t kick enough goals and would be lead to the ball. Is good tackler also. I can make dumb suggestions just like you DD. Let’s see what the reactions are.

Forward line questions
Well said OD. Why it’s almost last chance saloon stuff it’s better than saying no hope for either player. I still think Jeffo can and should knows about Fullerton.

NON-MFC: Opening Round 2025
Why ? A cyclone effecting Brisbane and Gold Coast is a one year in 50 or 100 event. Never been a cyclone in Brisbane before.

Training Ground?
Really DRD you are unrealistic and 20 years behind time. George has replied but my response is far more cynical and pointed. Do you really think we can build an elite training and admin establishment for the next five./ Ten decades along with associated community facilities by hawking some local oval ( with or without fence) by stealth overnight? Obviously you haven’t read much of the previous 224 pages let alone the last 50 recently to have any idea of the 2025 expectations for an AFL Club for the next 5/10 decades. It requires much more than your piggy bank to succeed so the saving is suggested to start asap.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs GWS
First of all I detest a team nominated and only 22 named. Just because Goody very rarely uses our 23rd named is no excuse either. Following the game vs Freo ( and Petty was out why did we not play Tmac on day on Tracey?) we missed many tackles only half grabs mostly in defence and deep forward. I don’t think the 2 talls helped and the trio of Bowey Salem and Windsor (all very good footballers btw) was rather vanilla and looked ill equipped to put real pressure on the forwards as a team and definitely one on one. If Windsor is at half back We need 3 talls and McVee or Rivers on one flank to be physically proficient for most attacks. As I have suggested all summer/Pre season the Duke is a natural attacking forward style player that was lost at half back IMO and with Salem and Bowey lacked the grunt and physical presence plus pressure to effect the game iMO. As for the Forward line once Rooy was off it was op against it. Again Chin is a long way off as a hf flanker and has no form for about back to KB last year. Fritta is lost away from goals and we need all our finishers in the arc, including Trac when he rests up forward, also surely is Billing’s better nearer goals yo reach the distance at least plus I think the new players either Hendo or Culley on HFF and definitely Pup on one flank for pace and finishing and Sharp near goal when on the ground. In the post about our forward line most got it wrong IMO and the third tall should be Jeffo.as He has more forward finishing skills than the other talls. We need players to get say 10 disposals forward and 2/3 goals plus 2/3/4 assists not 15 wasted entries like Zvoney and I thought Lingers although busy shanked his kicks a lot plus no leading didn’t help. Our below par goal kicking in the first term and last cody us the game. Lastly I reckon most of our match sims have been more energetic than this without Maybe the commentators reduced the skill of the game by lazy chatty style. Sorry for the length but we have great scope for improvement with effort team selection and two or three additions TO OUR 23.

CASEY: Practice Match vs Sandringham
Yes go there !!!

Kudos Brad Green
This after Dogga going back for a mother’s wish is a different kind of family matter. However it needs to be addressed as the scenario is different to say Nibbla in years of service. It’s words yes but we are not going to capitulate to these arrogant self righteous western groups for a pittance. And leave your bloody hands off our players !!
-
Kudos Brad Green
Disagree Brads statements are not rough around the edges Thsts the beauty of them NO EDGES Straight and direct as he played no nonsense. Like it or not you know the score and we wont surrender to WA on their terms. We are on the march back to the Club we were just after our 2021 triumph. Look at what has happened in the last 12 months. Pretty impressive where we stand today. Yes our results are crucial and our brand of footy so important but I feel we are undoubtedly up to it. Go Dees and well done Brad.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Pace is the biggest thing in the game not necessarily height. If you have both then woopee!! Let’s not get carried away some players with height aren’t great high marks either.

Club Emblem
Outdated and the second is Not even our real colours. Navy blue more than some royal style is our colours. And haven’t we won the 2021 flag with this newer emblem. Let's worry about what happens on the field and matters like this can be addressed when we are 17 flags atop the premiership race. Changing emblems like flags always indicates a lack of self confidence IMO as the real issue is changing our style out on the ground and winning. That makes a greater Football Club with continuity and confidence not tinkering at the edges.

This is exactly why we get criticised for lack of crowds at some games. People who are by most standards enthusiastic fans and members dream up reasons to miss going to Marvel too concretish can you believe Playing certain teams at our HOME GROUND the weather below say 14 degrees the travel etc. Whilst a section of fans are so pathetic plus of course if we play a bad game or lose 2 in a row. Do don’t complain when the opposition or media point this out. Just harden up and enjoy the experience as we win more than 2 out of 3 at Marvel now. Under the roof is just another different experience to be on cold or rainy days. The football is usually faster and not affected by the wind so more skilful and enjoyable. Ie positive thoughts not negative. And GW is it any wonder you are flummoxed by transport in the North Melbourne area voluntarily walking 15 minutes to a ground where the station is a Rooy punt away almost attached to the same buildings. (Next you will be telling us you carry out the banner by yourself. ) So Dees fans examine your habits and it’s no longer surprising that the 16/17,000 crowds at Port and GWS AT THE G at least one we still had a chance of making the Finals. Still waiting for the missing 10,000 fans on those nights to reflect in our membership figures as I can absolutely guarantee the two sets of figures don’t lie at the moment. And like Greenwave ( gu.less ) I won’t reply or respond. Oh and by commenting you will be generally revealing yourself as a fair weather fan, or one of the missing 10,000!! Cheers to the true believers about probably 20,000 was 28/30, 000 during 2018 to 2023!

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Some Eagles fans say he was slow but this was after his ACL. Hasn’t stopped him being a ball magnet in the match sims at training. Very strong body also.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Well that probably was the mid role Judd was being trained in but would guess that was not going to happen to AMW.

SSP contenders
That’s not a real imposition for Norwood. I t to think they hit a reprieve when he wasn’t taken in the Nov National Draft. I believe we should have looked at Boyd instead of Marty Hore more seriously however am very happy we have got Campbell AJ Harvey XL Sharp and now Henderson plus Culley now. Two rucks both forwards of sorts two versatile smalls who have class and finish well Two of the best young players on the AFL who are multi talented and 200 game prospects for our midfield and attacking roles and a tough big bodied mid to add depth and grunt to our stars already and newbies developing in the midfield. I reckon our seven players here are real honest from the heart types who will not be far from their best each match. very valuable last 3/4 days including a boost in morale on Sat with eleven probables out and still a good even effort in extreme heat with their fitness supremely important in the final analysis.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
No forward or half back not mid field . Some doubt his tank I think that’s not a real issue as we can generally control that if any effects are apparent in last quarters depending upon the situation. Thats AMW in any case so unfortunately it’s problematical any way.

Welcome to Demonland: Jack Henderson
Go Hendo welcome 💙❤️

Tom McDonald at CHF?
One of is needed as third tall in most games. And is the mix that stood up in 2021 and since then on 95% of our matches. Hybrids like Hore or Howes are handy also.
