  1. Thanks Mon. perhaps I was unwittingly suggesting Pup get favoured selection I don’t want that but also I feel he has a lot of what we need in 2025. I see in Pup Sharp Langford Lindsay pace and determination to run tirelessly ANB style and those four plus Lingers Kolt Kossie Duke should provide the necessary ingredients to produce a fast and exciting Demons outfit completely overtaking our stilted slow efforts in2024. It may take sometime to get all this pace gelling together but trust me it’s our big chance to run the other teams off their legs. Chaplin is emphasising movement up forward and crumbing and this will play a big part also. Piece by price it will come together and the team will be in another planet with this addition to our armoury. That’s why I believe we are a Top 4 chance if we can succeed with the above improvements to our team in 2025,
  2. Wait and see what the new forward Coach has drummed up, I have hit a suspicion if Kossie is in the middle that may be where we miss him most. Suspect some forward moves bu Chaplin will overcome Kossies lack of presence. Give Jeffo his chance!!!
  3. What’s going on ? This is beyond a joke I don’t care what the issues are what about team rules and expectations? Time to get serious in New Year. Time is running out there are no prior credits here.
  4. Yes 2021 was a shocker ! Give some credit where it is due. Thats also what practice is for. Practice masks perfect. In December no but March maybe. September probably even better.
  5. Yes 2021 was a shocker ! Huve dome credit where it is due. Thats also what practice is for. Practice masks perfect. I December no but March maybe.
  6. As I have mooted previously I don’t think that Jeffo need fill a key position forward spot. I believe he could be given a roaming tole as a half forward as he has good ground and forward skills. In other words he is more mobile than say JVR and Johnson and as mobile as Disco. He could be a bit like Fritta in his initial season until he challenges any of the main ( 1 or 2 in order) defenders from the opposition.
  7. You have possibly misunderstood or misinterpreted my comment but it is true (generally)if you can’t train ( before a game) you really can’t be fit enough to play. Many would say in a Thursday night is the time of reckoning. That’s what I was inferring.
  8. An explanation has now been given so until that was public you don’t know what robbing a 42,deg day. See my post below
  9. That’s fine that sounds what we all old call legitimate not very pleasant at any time let alone 42 deg heat. Hope he recovers asap.
  10. Yes that’s fine but she hasn’t in this forum mentioned it to my knowledge. sadly Shane catching a bug is still ironic given his history of health!
  11. Or not being done in this case!!! It’s ironic that the bloke that has had the most fitness issues ( other than Clarry) over the last 2 pre seasons is not here on a 42 deg day. You can go on the bike or run laps around the oval. Perhaps he is only allergic to sun screen after all!! Please don’t try a defend him unless you have legit inside info GW. At least the word is that he is the fittest we have seen him at Melb ( whatever that means) and may join the main training group after Xmas. My take is if you can’t train you can’t play (in season though).

I didn’t say that I said it was a soccer or rugby oval!! it’s called a field I think. what about Casey Fields it has ovals !!

    A soccer or rugby one
  14. Can’t help thinking we may be underestimating Pup Brown. Wonder what the track watchers are seeing in his development plus his maturing as a realistic winger, midfielder or say a HFF getting a ton on the ball even maybe, I guess why I am excited about Kynan is his physical appearance has strengthened plus his pace evasiveness and very importantly his determination to play footy at the elite level like his dad. I hope the Club give him the opportunity to succeed in our system. Any comments from Demon track watchers or other D/Lers on Kynans potential for 2025 or am I jumping the gun with liking his potential? Thanks all.
  15. Sorry Johnson is the no 80 referred to. My apologies. Have no objection of Aidan is in the 23. He will have earnt his spot.
  16. They are all equal after the draft. Langford and George are still MFC players and eligible for selection if fit. Don’t mind you asking the question though.
  17. Good summary CHF yes a good year with a possible late Finals run. We often surprise after poorer year and the reasons for thst make the opportunity for the kids and high standard regulars get back their mojo. Could be like 2021 if the team bonds and plays more aggressive footy.
  18. RPFC really Howes had a very good first half last year and dropped off but got back into senior side near end. One of the players I think will improve and possibly grab a HB flank. Adams is at least a year younger. And this season is his opportunity to shine. Needs a good start and one of the defenders to take him under his wing.
  19. TheDuke should be our centre man and not on the ball but in the centre at bounces or if he changes it should be on the HFF and then go back into that position in the spine where we can more safely own the corridor. seriously he will kick 20 goals next season and be a ball magnet in the middle. In time yes he would change on some occasions with an on baller but not so much in his first season. He will have the tank as he is a natural runner. Bowey or Lindsay could go on a wing and of course Lingers has his Warne Stand side all sorted.
  20. Good idea
  21. What shape are we in at this stage George? Are that’s figures purely automatic renewals or is there some reasonable/ good growth potential in them. I think we may start slowly but have good vibes if we start strongly with wins and play far more positive footy especially our new young stars it will get the fans back. Thats what I am hoping at least.

Just as well John you won’t be negotiating any Demon players futures in the next years judging in your Petracca comments. Trac could play till 35/36 as he is so fit and strong he could do a lethal (Matthew’s) and play up forward for his last 2/3 years getting 40/50 plus goals a year, which would require a Club at least a pick 1 plus a 2 rounder or a future high draft pick to be recruited.
  23. As I have posted numerous times I believe the Duke should be moved to the centre where he will have maximum effect on our footy in aggression and using the centre corridor. He reminds me of Chad Warner the way he plays and I believe if at centre he could easily kick 15/20 goals next season. He would put the fear of all opponents from the circle and be more in play than on a flank of ring. I applaud Jim being tried on HBF hopefully only for defensive training and are hoping Goody reads us or one of the D/L ers suggests nicely to try him there in a practice game. It’s no brainer to me and I like it that Bowser may play on a wing also. Lindsay is another centre or winger of the future or early on in his career.
  24. Happy 21st Birthday Tahlia enjoy your day and congratulations.
