  1. Really waste time on enquires? another weird post Goffy Let’s get some free agency talent to back up our drafting. Any one who says we can’t utilise Oscar Allen has lost the plot. Firstly he would be a free agent and secondly unless a proper and extensive fitness examination is undertaken to our medicos satisfaction then it’s a no perhaps. It’s an easy plan to get rumour about fitness and Eagles have done similar before. Darling was supposed to have issues of behaviour prior to the draft and no one touched him!!! So don’t be fooled do your medical diligence. Richmond did it with Angus wasn’t it? But we still got out of it with a win. Recruiting is about needs and to not go aggressively for top players is not giving your Club its best chance. To say we don’t need Allan is ridiculous as AJ has just been recruited!!’ Who would you rather have ? I like our chances up forward in 2025 but a fit Oscar Allan would be a game changer, all the other would walk taller and enable our existing young potential players to play with greater freedom and confidence. The Cats have a multi dimensional attack with Jezza Cameron as its match winner an plenty of other options but it’s the star power that is the key to head up anAFL flag winning forward line. And there is a panic about our aged defenders well Petty Turner JVR and Adams can all play swingman if need be at times. I regard Binman generally as one of our best judges but on this occasion he is radically wrong on his reasons for no Allen. Move the grandstand to get quality players that’s why the Cats are perennial contenders.
  2. Why? not smart or any logic as far as I can see. Nor is Hammer either explain that also. Macca your post saying he can be a defensive weapon around half back.???? The guy is a forward/ mid. Do you want to further place defence above attack for our Club? We need creative attacking aggressive forwards not dour defenders.
  3. To be fair it’s not Jeffo’s role to do that as a developing forward. He is being trained as a forward and clearly AJ is a second ruck/ forward with a much bigger body and greater physical attributes.
  4. He could still mark OK last season
  5. UTTER RUBBISH. Why has Riv been able to successfully transfer to a harder role in the midfield without being good at HalfBack. Judd has had 2 great years at HB and is one of the best young HBacks in the AFL. Thts why I am not fussed we haven’t got Houston. Whitfield was better 5 years ago. You are due at Specsavers in half an hour. Dont criticise our players ridiculously.
  6. Stop spreading rubbish
  7. Where he is selected but nobody knows where? HFF. Mid. I/C. Sub. Em. ????
  8. That’s the point a FIT Salo is the key as well as consistency.
  9. Don’t you watch Judd McVee? Not a bad half back. Surely Riv has played some good games from HBF. Me thinks you need a memory rethink or a trip to specsavers.
  10. No get him and worry about our Key position Forwards and Backs no more for a decade. JVR Oscar Disco Jeffo Petty Kenterfield Adams and possibly Verrall.
  11. No All the other frailties will be so much less if you have a marking machine like Oscar in the forward line. He is what we want JVR to become. Let’s remember JVR might still be a better Full Back than a Full Forward in his next 5 years.
  12. What about Langford or Lindsay ? Not too bad 12 mths on. Fact is we need one of our premiership or trusted recruits since to step up and take over his extra duties to our footy, culture, and brotherhood.
  13. That may only be for the last 6/8 games of 2024. That doesn’t mean we are stuck in that position permanently. We could have easily made the finals without Trac and Clarry’s last half season. It was rare air without the two champs.
  14. Agree most definitely. Great work Brad and Co.
  15. Apologies JNRMAC It was DCTRACCA who made the errors. Over to you TRACCA?
  16. Agree but I am interested in a post that wants to confine him to Casey but really doesn’t have a sensible valid reason that stands up if he is fit and firing .
  17. How did he turn it over? Fumbling ? Running over it? not bending enough ? please prey tell??? Really interested in this little tidbit.
  18. Cant understand your second para with Windsor “being behind most contests” which is either your opinion or a lack of footy logic. Players can be placed and play in any part of the zone they are positioned in. In other words if Windsor is at half back as nd part of his role is to act as a running style defender on the outside say he simply places himself accordingly. What is he behind that prevents this as long as he doesn’t neglect his opponent and give him free reign to the ball or goal. My assertion is that centre is his ideal position as a he is a straight line runner with exceptional speed and would only be a kick and a half from goal on many occasions for passing or assessing his scoring opportunities. As for the poster who is afraid that he will be crushed in 5 mins. What utter rot. Give the Duke more credit !!! He would have built up his weight and really looks like he even puts weight on it doesn’t show. One game is not enough sample.
  19. Well why are you so against Salo playing in the AFL ? His ability is “ when fit” is AFL standard so why not. You don’t seem to realise that fitness is a very important part of his ability to play well. Just like every player. I don’t agree that his best is not AFL worthy. But he must be fit not struggling with leg issues or hamstrings.
  20. Name 1/2/3 better small forwards and his potential to be even better has to be considered in any trade.
  21. We are already rebuilding on the run in case you missed it. Just hoping that our existing stars will be joined by another group of A/B graders from our dozen youngsters like Windsor Langford Lindsay McVee and Rivers.
  22. It’s that he has shown he has elite ability and players with that should be in an important position hence my desire for centre as opposed to the wing. Also he will be used extensively if played at half back for outside running and delivering the ball down the ground. What a waste not using his running ability rpfc!!
  23. Perhaps you may need some sort of counselling. It couldn’t happen again. Look at it from a half glass full not empty. It was a dreadful act by the AFL and some compensation should have come our way.
  24. Or he may be like Mac Andrew and not be worried about his weight.
  25. He’s been training well and is fit. Last year he was compromised by his fitness and if he returns fit he is an asset. You are simply stating your opinion based on his form at the end of 2024. Each season should be judged on its own not penalised for the previous year. Clarry is in the same position and won’t be penalised with his training back towards his top form.
