  1. Boy we won’t beat Cats at 83 can we move up and trump them like they did with Holmes to us?
  2. Good point UGTBK. I say grab either Tauru first or Armstrong if available up to our pick 9. A mid is still good to get with this list depth.
  3. Just hope either North or Saints don’t both take Armstrong or Tauru before we get a chance of one of them. If not then is Jonty Faull a good enough tall to risk at 9? Prob not although Cal said finished season well.
  4. I was a worst critic but I think you are exaggerating. He is good overhead but just a fraction slow with ball in hand after a mark like JJ used to be.
  5. Bit he was according to all reputable journos going to go to US until the Petracca saga. That is undeniable that he favoured us 3 mths ago then changed his mind.
  6. You haven’t read the email Moo. Jeffo is now clunking them and tackling over last 9/10 games. Get up with the program and give the kid a go.
  7. If you believe you are in contention or near that rank then needs basis in this draft is essential. Thats why st 5 Tauru or Armstrong and a mid at 9. We could easily pick a mid at 5 maybe Langford if availabie and either Tauru or Armstrong at 9 whoever is still left.
  8. I want Tauru for his versatility and X factor and at no 5 also.
  9. Disagree never enough talls. Grab Tauru at 5 and one of the top mids even at 9. Tauru is an X factor as he plays both ends and a freakish mark. A game changer in other words. One mid this year plus Sharp and Brown to surprise with run and carry to assist our game plan.
  10. Really Darkhorse !! suggesting a forward who was a nice bloke but failed in sO many simple ways at footy to assist our young forwards now is like the most ridiculous comment and idea I’ve heard of. Next you will want Mark Neeld to be part of the Dees next coaching succession plan. Please be a a very dark darkhorse and don’t stand for any board or FD positions should they become available in the now or future.
  11. Here here Sydee
  12. Name them all please !
  13. Jed can play up forward might be good to give him a chance in pre season at CHF .
  14. You haven’t got even one if the best 7/8 mids in mind. Not realistic. Tauru will be lucky to be T 9 If we want him 5 might be best then a gun mid will still be available at 9.
  15. Still wasting your time Wilmoy how many times are you refusing to believe what Clarry said. All that matters now is he is on board and getting raring to go. Let it rest. As KD said he said it on Nat TV Ch 7 last Saturday at the races when interviewed. Other footballers were on the same program from Ch 7 obviously invited to attend on the day.
  16. Why drop back 15/16 looks exactly where the very top level tapers off. But a fair chance you could get a B grader by 2 instead of a real A choice at 9 who would have a greater impact.
  17. Why not just get the players that are in front of you and not be too cute. Even in this flood of top chances some players are needed more than others I believe. Tauru at 5 and the best mid available at 9 looks the best strategy to me. Big player with huge upside will have the biggest effect on our forward line. Then any of the 7/8 mids are going to be a great choice at 9 yo add to our midfield. While me need mids with pace and finishing skills I believe Sharp and Pup Brown could be big surprises if we use their run and carry smarts around the forward line especially. Tweaking Windsor to the centre could well straighten us up also. He is such a good user of the ball and covers ground so well I find it hard to believe he couldn’t kick 15/20 goals from there in 2035. So much more attacking just by his pace and style of game he reminds me of a potential Chad Warner and of.course on the wing Robbie Flower.
  18. Yes but part of our problem is we are full of bulls and sort of one paced unless cameos from Kossie are increased. Riv is a bit of both and if Windsor is moved to the centre like I advocate plus a classy on baller with pace and outside run that should alter our mix. Remember all our tough bulls will get the ball out to these runners and more skilled players in many occasions. Tauru or Armstrong either looks a great prospect and not to bolster our forward marking setup with such quality, this ONE player could completely transform our on ball and forward lines work in one go. Let’s see what we get with 5 and 9 either JT again ready to deliver some candy on this occasion.
  19. While I understand they Pert has done what he did in conjunction with the FD List Cttee. It was a search to test the waters as remember last pre season Clarry was warned that he had to tick s few boxes. While I thought he had done a good job according to the FD advice publicly may be some cracks appeared. In the end it hopefully is alls well that ends well. Fitness is the key to Clarry in running and the clearing up of his hand leg and ribs for all the preseason. Regarding Perty I believe that he has some credits still and he is crucial to the success of the Caulfield Training base development till its completion. Let’s see what the Reviews bring up in the public domain before we throw too many babies out with the bath water.
  20. Disagree one for the future a mid which we desperately need but a talent like Armstrong or Tauru are considered almost generational and if scalable at 5 or 9 one of them would add a potential A grader to our forward line. How much better will all our youngsters be with a true KPF capable of 50/60 goals on top of the usual suspects of Fritta and Kossie and the possibility of our new mid plus Trac kicking goals and over a 110/120 goals potentially from the mix of JVR Disco Harry P and Jeffo over a season when they hit their prime in the forward line. Mids do not normally take 5 years as you indicated to reach near their peak and are a lot more freely available in both draft or trade situations than talls. In fact our talks will be the ones that will be in their prime in 4/5 years with a mid a year enough to replace Both Trac and Clarry around the end of the decade, or slightly earlier or later should that occur.
  21. Well it’s still possible if they dearly want a player for specific needs or if they very unwisely try to split pick 9. Not the year to do it I don’t think.
  22. Age is not the major issue remember you work in most jobs you are not penalised as your experience and footy smarts are still expected in your twilight years. Having said this I don’t think Maxy deserves a pay cut after 2024 would have been his hardest year yet with both the Oliver and Trac situations plus our overall letdown of the team from middle to the end of the season. it is rare that players are reduced Tmac was a. Negotiated one but Maysie has probably escaped a little although he still in the top 5 FB in the AFL.
  23. What about a NEW forward coach? Font blame the mids all the time it’s Goody’s problem and if he festive it this year then he should be replaced as we won’t win silverware,
