  1. Simple bring your own food!!
  2. Whatever the Club decide I will be happy with. But I hope they give Clarry the go ahead for zero Round.
  3. Caleb will probably end up being our best wingman since Robbie. has that speed of acceleration and his skills will only get better as he plays more games. What I like about the Duke is he has such a great way of getting the. Ball and setting off for a 10/15 m dash and then disposes of the ball. So impactful and simple plan and is good in traffic with his acceleration. Fan favourite already what a thrill to see him in opening Round in Sydney and also make his MCG debut vs Dogs in Round1. MCC members are in for a great season first hand in front of them with the Duke.
  4. He played and went very well according to the report.
  5. He is a big boy and teammates will stick up for him.
  6. That’s not so from all the press or even what Gawny has said.
  7. Trac’s kicking skills are more reliable than Dangers.
  8. Worth far more than four points on all fronts really. Hardly a negative also including the Casey bonuses. Clarry MJ Seston Woe Kolt Fullarton for the run and fitness Tmac Hore AMW Verrall all the Demons a really great hit out indeed.
  9. To be fair despite our 25 in age plus dominance on this team we are in reality in transition with the under 22’s about to play a major role in many differing positions. It gives a renewed freshness and vitality to our game plan and opens up I believe a potential of no ceiling on the expectations for 2024. And we have others to add to our mix with already recognised AFL credentials. Now there is sunshine over our Club yes the clouds and rain will not magically disappear but it looks possible that we have managed to ward off any major damage to our on ground footy fabric. Indeed it may well have prospered and we may make hay while the sun shines in spite of the sceptics who were assembling en masse.
  10. I would presume the opposite, Papley and Warner underdone no way. No underestimating any Swans players under any circumstances.
  11. Marty isn’t quite as tall and robust as Tommo or T Mac. He is more Hibbo’s size and will no doubt be used at some stages in 2024 when medium size is fine or required. Disco will also IMO challenge fiercely once he gets over his injury and it’s also a watch on Jed Adams. He is a genuine KPDefender for the future. Plenty of upside for our defence with Rivers Juddy Bowser plus Howes who can only get better. In addition Salo can always go back when and if a half forward needs quietening. Must admit Mr Versitile Christian took the inside mid job like he had played all his 150 plus in that role. The defence was back to near its best after last week’s aberration. Tmac also seemed to get recognition in his comeback in the early game and brings plenty of experience and solidity if he is fit. He will be all the better also for the run and despite many doubting his disposal I think he has no real concerns on this issue after defecting forward to guide our premiership tilt kicking goals and providing the smalls with some crumbs along with BBB. it’s all about fitness being maintained with the two elder statesmen but we will be a better outfit if we have both available for the majority of the season. All in all a good run for our troops with much of last weeks looseness ironed out and many showing their real ability which is needed to be a legitimate challenger in 2024.
  12. Thanks this looks like a sensible guess of time out for our injured players. Thank you Binman.
  13. Is this a Club list or a made up one by a DLer, adding info that looks like it’s complete guess work as it isn’t in line with info provided from press reports or posts from the Club.
  14. But Caulfield will provide the total package when completed. What do we want in the Warne Stand when it’s being renovated or rebuilt. Admin? Plus players facilities. Recovery gym medical facilities exercise areas indoor kicking and relaxation areas for down time. Whoever is talking about training on the MCG again has been under a rock for about 4 decades. That can’t go back to when we were the sole occupant or even when Tigers shared the ground. 4 tenants and about 4 other sub tenants now play at the G. There is like 50/60 plus games per season. The Ground has to have a rest and midweek Mon to Wed or Thursday is that period to allow for recovery and maintenance. It is unfortunately our ground we share with Pies Tigers and Hawks . other sub tenants are Blues Bombers Cats ( who might forgo half their games at G to Cattery. But that’s only 2 games say vs Bombers or Hawks or Dees or one of Pies Tigers and Blues every third year. SWYL sorry but your posts are resembling the 20th century use of the G and that won’t go backward so we can train etc there. Caulfied train 2 days and Casey 1 it would prob be in the future. Not sure if any use of Goschs at all. sounds about as good as it gets. Bloody good in fact.
  15. Jake ( Rick) says Hi’ Where do I rate?
  16. I don’t know Werridee where this is coming from. All summer you have MORE THAN OFTEN in your rather frequent teams for this week, month, Aust day, Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Dayetc. Placed Tommo at CHB much to my frustration when Disco was fit. I don’t agree with your latest tirade and agree with Young Blood’s very balanced post. However I believe Disco will possibly be a better bet for our defence based on what I saw vs Swans in Round 24 last season. But he got dropped and neither played vs Pies. Bad move our 3 talls has proved a constructive and consistent safeguard in our success since Round 1 in 2021. Naturally if the third tall is considered superfluous it’s ok to change but Thsts where I think Disco will be a smarter third tall by seasons end. Actuall can’t wait for Jed Adams to arrive as well. Maybe later this season might be a chance. He IMO is Stephies long term replacement ( not this season yet) of course. But rounding out this opinion is fluid but the 3 talls are rather comforting and successful for us over the journey and Tommo has gone a good/ great job all things considered and was unlucky of course to miss the Flag.
  17. Wouldn’t he be a good chance up forward in due course if our defence holds up and he develops his confidence? Or one step at a time? Also now “close checking or defending” in the practice game did Blake any favours.
  18. You have a very short memory. Tmac has brought the whole blame for our Finals straight exit on his shoulders or his possible leg injuries. I think it’s a great idea as Goody doesn’t always think of changes or experimentation. Half a season back MAY sweeten him up for possible cameos or longer up forward if his fitness holds all season. Rank and file have already written off Tmac and BBB as “live” possibilities this season. They are cooked or dead!! I’m might be old fashioned but we deserve a break with both so the Footy Gods might just smile our way this year! We can only hope with both Premiership forwards!!
  19. Tarax see my other post earlier “ the Calvary Stampede,”
  20. Old old story not every recruit develops at the same rate. We expect all to be linear and quick to adapt. Think of Petty Vs Clarry for eg. Howes vs Kynan Brown for eg. That's what I am talking about!!
  21. Tarax You are confusing the rush back of injured Demons as the Cavalry arriving with the “Greatest Show on Earth” the fabulous Calgary Stampede!! A must see once in a lifetime at the end of a Rocky Mountaineer gold leaf rail ride with the bar opening at 10am in the morning. Bailey’s on ice never tasted so good!!
