  1. Some Eagles fans say he was slow but this was after his ACL. Hasnā€™t stopped him being a ball magnet in the match sims at training. Very strong body also.
  2. Well that probably was the mid role Judd was being trained in but would guess that was not going to happen to AMW.

Thatā€™s not a real imposition for Norwood. I t to think they hit a reprieve when he wasnā€™t taken in the Nov National Draft. I believe we should have looked at Boyd instead of Marty Hore more seriously however am very happy we have got Campbell AJ Harvey XL Sharp and now Henderson plus Culley now. Two rucks both forwards of sorts two versatile smalls who have class and finish well Two of the best young players on the AFL who are multi talented and 200 game prospects for our midfield and attacking roles and a tough big bodied mid to add depth and grunt to our stars already and newbies developing in the midfield. I reckon our seven players here are real honest from the heart types who will not be far from their best each match. very valuable last 3/4 days including a boost in morale on Sat with eleven probables out and still a good even effort in extreme heat with their fitness supremely important in the final analysis.
  4. No forward or half back not mid field . Some doubt his tank I think thatā€™s not a real issue as we can generally control that if any effects are apparent in last quarters depending upon the situation. Thats AMW in any case so unfortunately itā€™s problematical any way.
  5. Go Hendo welcome šŸ’™ā¤ļø

One of is needed as third tall in most games. And is the mix that stood up in 2021 and since then on 95% of our matches. Hybrids like Hore or Howes are handy also.
  7. You will regret that statement. He is developing as space and will have some days when he will only have 6/8 possessions and 3/4 goals and a couple of assists. Never hoping to be a high possessions winner but good value for the cones he gets. Remember my take vs yours.!!!
  8. Wow some real points from left field but so much could well be the truth. Many may question some points but if they are in any way near the mark we will be a much stronger side as a result. Very encouraging effort from both teams with half a team looking on all for differing reasons. Letā€™s hope AMW dodges a bullet. He grew up yesterday as a regular before our own eyes.
  9. Yesterday all the info inc correct transport info and new times was posted. As a major news story. Yes I acknowledge that I missed GW ā€˜S posting of the game change time from an 11.am to 10 am on Monday at 13.37 and apologies to her. But as for priority in print yesterdayā€™s coverage of the North games, the transport and facilities for shade etc. at the ground far outweighed the articles by GW during the week. In fact the incorrect train station and no tram advice in D/L had to be corrected despite the fact that all the transport and Ground locations have virtually been the same since the middle of 1960ā€™s. Yes itā€™s been about 30 plus years or more since Arden St used as an AFL ground. The train stations are both about 15/20 mins I believe walk from the games venue. Hopefully all are sun smart and water guzzling tomorrow. PS Binman I do not do APPS nor does GW I would say. You wont convince me Yo not look at yha AFL MFC websites before DLand for info about our game ie match centre and facts. I love D/L for its differences of opinions and the totally different way of all posters engaging in our great Club and game. But the facts are indisputable who gives out the more reliable and factual info. Itā€™s not always the first but itā€™s not based on opinion but fact 95% of the time. You have your footy loading love child Binman I have this and swear by it.

  13. Thats entirely a different discussion. Campbell or AJ would probably be our No 1 and no doubt another would be in the 23. Rooy would then be the FF or CHF for starting and swapping from one to the other position as form and the game demanded. Turner would be our second key player with Jeffo hopefully in demand.
  14. Is now 42,229 Interestingly Saints 43,300 Dogs 42,300 Kangas 41,053 We need to have winning start and will beat these Clubs with an instant jump.
  15. If we want yo take a punt on players far better yo do it with Jeffo than AJ Fullarton Verrall. only possible reason for their preferred place is the Rick assistance quandary. But none of them has Jeffos last season half form consistency and goal kicking base to elevate yo AFL. Jeffo should be punted with as he has a much more solid game than the others either way forward finishing skills top of the list. We need that dearly with Kossie and dare I say it Shane Mac out. Be daring and take a chance.
  16. Will need to be a more rounded forward than Chandler. From info here he seems to be a very confident ball handler with quick and good decision making. Finishes well and from 50m out on occasions. Could well go to another level in an AFL environment. Also a bit like Nibla is a determined opponent who can tag if required.
  17. Wrong again It has been done overnight to my knowledge and may have been mooted prior but no decision (rom the organisers as such. BTW who do you think you are demanding training reports just when you want them. Your brazen threats are simply that and I donā€™t No you donā€™t celebrate successes cranky rather the failures. Disco Turner says HI
  18. No of course not, BUT incorrect information is confusing useless and exactly what I have pointed out from D/Lers on occasions. And the ones that stated pointing the bone at the website are in effect criticising paid employees that work completely differently to the opinions of some amateurs. Two ridiculous cheap shots this week were no Henderson recognition of Dees selecting for about 24 hours. Secondly was the delay in information on the Casey match after the AFL Match and simulation on the website. MFC generally is not the major news source for the Casey matches however today when the match times were changed due to the expected extreme heat this was followed up with mention of the Casey match afterwards. Pointedly was information of the train and tram details from a station allied with the tram no. As the best to get to Arden St plus match details the lack of shade etc. Demonland got confused the station and no tram and although I lived in Melbourne for over 40 years from 1948 the station/s and tram would not have altered in my nearly 77 years. Arden St has not moved either in 70 odd years. My only criticism of the website is that the headline for the North AFL match could have been about the time commencement change from 11AM to 10AM. That is the role of the website ( like bringing interviews and articles about players and correct and reliable advice on match times transport ) DLand is a discussion and opinion forum with variety of posts but not necessarily the detailed official information. So my point is get your info where you want to but donā€™t be upset if itā€™s the wrong source or is incorrect. However cheap shots on the speed of the website are ill founded and petty. The timing is allied to the process through the AFL not the discussion or potential of an event like on Demonland. The media also prioritise this approach and have for ever and a day Failure to understand these roles causes most of the reasons for confusion when it is a simple situation.

These players are on our list and despite your misgivings ruling each out for different reason the underserved a chance up play in that position. AMW should be tried so should Pup and if not up to it genuinely after a fair go then others can ve given an opportunity. Henderson now is a real chance. If AMW has had a full pre season he should have the ability to play HFF ( not a mid role where a full tank is needed). If Pup fumbles which monomers has suggested then we had ANB that virtually fumbled his way for 3/4 seasons before he smartened up. Too critical about so called faults talk about the good features.
  20. Obviously Melb are waiting for the official paper work to go through. Thatā€™s my point they dont engage in fantasy fiction or histrionics like D/L. Some of you really donā€™t understand difference between John Ralph and MFC or a D/Ler posting a topic. I am sure some do but their bias or logic goes haywire or on fire depending upon the topic, Its great when D/L predict whatā€™s going to happen and is is a forum for great gloating while the website reports it calmly and methodically. What happens dont some of you miss the Coaches and other interviews? Or donā€™t you recognise it or spy and forget.

You donā€™t know what you are missing if you donā€™t read BOTH.
  22. This is exactly what Iā€™ve been talking about!!!

Well you have maintained your stays quo. You donā€™t think about 15 of our players might be better performed this season? Oh and a far quicker game plan as well. I could give 15 reasons why we could/should be better this year but you arenā€™t even coming up with ONE???
  24. Rubbish. Read the track watchers and Club reviews recently.

We should be looking at the future not just 3 games. There are ways of overcoming a loss for that small period. You have written these 3 games off in previous posts for months as if we will be losing all 3 and our finals chances are ruined. Thank goodness Clubs gave a better way of approaching this situation in both mind and body than you.Sure Kossie is a loss but AMW Pup or Henderson or Spargo ( wonā€™t be fit enough I donā€™t think ) or Langford or Trac can all win us the game/s. A little more faith would be appreciated in the 23 selected to start the season in style. Itā€™s also asking say Henderson to play his first game being only with the club 2/3 weeks and play a match winning role. I am happy if it is Henderson or Culley or George. JT and the Footy Dept and TL will make a decision considering all options. Very fortunate to have this opportunity and letā€™s hope Shane can recover to play again.
