I know you have agreed as you thought perhaps Brody should have played but the whole decision on selection etc and who players an d who didn’t or was allowed or not on the ground has been my point all along. Some terrible team and coach selections and decisions which ever way you look at it. And please Macca don’t come up with reasons that’s and so couldn’t go off or come on because …. Match day rules are meant to be flexible or workable and are what you make of them. Kent Thsts a crazy comment, Trac had 29.34 last year with say 7 OOB. Sharpen up and say 40.30. It’s still a lot to ask unles he spends time up forward as a forward. But he is a likely goal kicker at any time.

Yes I would give Clarry a go up forward so he doesn’t have to run all day and of course Trac as well if needed. He finds goals when forward of the centre like kids find Easter eggs on a hunt. I hope McAdam can get into the team with his fitness. Billing’s prob a sure cert now In final 23.

Finally over his injuries etc.

At last some sense SWYL . Where are all the vultures criticising me now. All I wanted is a move during the game to help us. ie Tmac off in 3rd quarter and Schache on. This is a variation of starting with Josh instead and the whole Gawn issue ( non issue IMO) has just been ignored now. And to think we had closed this book about 2 days ago. The Grundy issue was unfortunately a fail and there were no winners in 2023 but now in 2024 let’s see how things play out. Also to worry about Dermott Brereton tips of Pies and GWS in top 4 he has always favoured GWS as was an Assistant Coach there for 3/4 years in earlier days and also played a cameo year or two at Pies. He had never liked us sat all. We simply have to stand up and again start with injuries up forward incredibly so P- Man who would have you got on the off season other than Fullarton to bolster our attack and ruck to also help Gawny. Like you P-Man I will be there in Sydney on Zero Round still believing that Billingsand McAdams will help and JVR and Fritta who is flying can get us over the line. I think our system will be better this year also. Let’s hope Petts BBB and Tmac and Fullarton can all get back and give us some depth for our attack in 2024. Too many what if’s Macca thinking if the worst, courage and free thinking are needed to win. What ifs and afraid of losing are symptomatic with lack of success. We have a choice and give me the first any day of the week.

Gawn coming off would be for a rest ( or he would have had to stay out there at FF. If not very fit) If he has had this broken toe for a month or similar this Was the first time any Sub cover was provided!! But to not use our 23 players IMO was much more positive than being caught with only 22 or 21 eligible players for a quarter or less say. Goody himself at the forum for supporters said all we needed is another goal in many games. Well Goody you had a chance to try and manufacture one but didn’t have the bravado to try by using your sub. So Macca you won’t convince me any way about this.And I have the result to back it up. You only have Negative and complicated suggestions of not trying to win with no action attempted to make a change because you are afraid of losing. We always had 23 players and never had any less than 21 for any of the last 40 mins of the game if a risk was made which could have been a game changer.

Gee Macca you have just about shot yourself in the foot now. Tmac I have never suggested at half time but in the third quarter say 15 mins in. Whatever happens from then is the unknown but a positive move to get some forward scores and give Gawny a rest is made. Or Max rests in the Forward pocket and Schache rucksxand changes forward also. Yes Macca but if we had a full list it all changes. Imagine if we had 6 defenders out with May lever and Salo say plus 3!others ? Defence would look pretty poor. Whoever runs and whoever located the Demon Shop where it is have no idea of business principles. they should have negotiated and got a demountable ( one exists near Gate 3) Surely they could have one located near the MCC members. Just seems as though they are taking a holiday as it is too long a break. Will they open up for replacement time like a Sale afternoon to get more merch sold? Rubbish Should have played from halfway through 3rd quarter instead of Tmac. Agree that injuries also contributed to our loss in both 2023 finals with forwards missing. In 2022 it was our fitness and many players unable to play a full game out due to their poor fitness and carrying injuries. Roost it Far is too harsh. The major reasons are our fitness in 2022 and injuries and poor forward work plus Sub not used in Semi in 2023.
