Gee Thsts a big back flip Laze. Whilst I am disappointed that Casey can’t seem to win I actually believe that more players will be discovered out of this. Doesn’t make for team footy either sometimes but the good ones will survive and succeed quicker. AMW must be getting nearer. As always our armchair experts won’t promote home unless he removes a couple of smaller flaws. They never learn nor does Goody with some development in recruits. They are inconsistent especially in poor team. Would prefer AMW to be tried as a half forward or wing however as possible career more opportunities there. And we need anyone who can show goal sense, I suggest.

How many games did Podsiadly win for Cats?, and when he went off in the GF Bartel was a match winner in 2011. Melksham if available is our Pod.

King is not necessarily a better prospect than Naughton. What is he better at? Marking ? Splitting Packs ? Versatility ? Accuracy ? Team Play? Really not much between them and Aaron can play back as a possible champion. But Naught’s is not available in any case.

What are his good points? Why is he getting high possessions then? Think of his good points not his not so good. Please respond.,

Train him to excel at half forward along with Kossie and Shane. Than we can ha ve him and Kossie in cameos or longer in future in the ball and up forward.
  13. Footy Clubs pay on results and not on lovefests. As the resident gatekeeper to all players coaches and occasionally others you don’t have to defend every person let alone pull the good bloke and adoring players card. ICYHMI most Clubs are full “of good blokes and of being adored” by players. But in a W and L world results are paramount. And in this regard Staff has failed as a forward Coach. I won’t even attempt to list to support this fact our troubles are legendary despite nearly having our full list of forwards plus back man who I rate highly as potential or possible savours no visible improvement has occurred over 3 seasons. Perfect opportunity to change with new coach McQualter and get a different plan. But no another trick Goody has missed or will do too late, or as a reactive decision he is so good at. We all know the definition of insanity……..!!! WCW coming into this forum in your position does not mean you have to defend every person who you like to us others who don’t have inner contact or relationships. Our position is clear and I for one don’t doubt that 98 of 100 Dees players officials etc. are good blokes, ladies etc. They know they are in the public forum and despite that still put their hand up to do a job. The AFL Tribunal may excuse them ( like Clarke again!!) but as paid employees they are not paid to be good samaritans but successful coaches and players. If they don’t succeed on results they should be subject to criticism and their position based on merit. Staffs claims as a forward player are underwhelming and his coaching of our forwards leaves plenty to be desired. There is a time frame and it’s run out and the FD and Goody are dropping the ball on this one. I now expect your inevitable reply playing good guy to Staff and bad guy to me for my point of view but I am thicker than you and can cop plenty of criticism. But I am certain this one is a winner and what is needed is a mid season coaches draft change as necessary pronto!!
  14. I don’t either but fans of all Clubs can be fickle. Saints don’t attract fans either and for the last few years their MCG fans vs us has not been much more than 10,000 really. TBH we have probably not had 10,000 fans to their home games at Marvel either. So people in glass houses…….
  15. Really that’s a useless injured one legged kick half forward who played at two unsuccessful clubs at the time and frustrated supporters and fans alike. How any one on the limited highlights could liken Luker other than name ( and part joking) to the most disappointing and wasteful half forward we ever recruited is beyond belief and in fact disgraceful. He is a completely different player a KPForward not a flaky flanker and if his CV is truthful plays a bit like JVR crashing packs. Good luck and welcome Luker to the mighty Dees.
  16. What in the heaven do you like about Staff? Prey tell??
  17. 58er replied to Demon Head's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Your priorities are misguided Recruiting in the MSD is not for Casey in the short term but MFC either short or long term depending upon needs. Daniel Turner was sort of both terms and most others have been short term.

We did and won by 6 goals plus!!!
  19. 58er replied to WERRIDEE's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Happened on Sunday we had Clarry Petty Shane and Lachie and should have won by 10 goals!!!
  20. It’s clearly not Windsors fault as he has helped address our pace issue but to turn the clock back and believe Tommo will suddenly after 5 years in defence solve a marking problem on a wing. He is a one pace player good mark good on 1:1 and mostly at minding key position players and spoiling their marking. On a wing you need pace and flexibility and skills in moving. The rucks and key forwards are there to mark. Not a solid defender with no real toe and turning skills. Lingers Duke and Hunter are not the reason for our connection problems generally.

Really it’s so obvious about our starts, Go back to R 22 vs Pies at the G we missed the Finals by a goal (ie %) and a win. I feel it’s part of Goody’s lack of panic to make changes also that doesn’t address some early issues when our slow starts occur. If it is Trac’s issue then something needs to be done about it. We are never beaten but it’s galling losing by mere points.

All the best enjoy your trip. OS a pleasure. Thanks for your thorough reports, they will be missed.
  23. Can’t have both 74 make up your mind please.
  24. No it’s no t that easy. We need big players marking etc.
  25. Well said Moonshadow my sentiments exactly. That’s what you get when you don’t make sensible coaching changes after 2/3 years of average or no forward connections and results. Change is needed and Staf is overdue for it as he has had more than enough time to correct this part of our play. A look at the movement in the Swans ball movement would be a start plus their forwards moving around and leading.
