  1. I guess with 23 rotating, if there is an injury they are disadvantaged, but at at the end of the day injuries happen so teams will always benefit/suffer as a result and you cant really create a perfect system here. i'm sure they will tinker with it until the day i die aha At least the Tactical sub won't be as manipulated as much as the medical one was.
  2. Jefferson, Jefferson, Jefferson Forward
  3. Incidents like the Ronaldo one have increased in the VAR era, player knows if there is contact the VAR unlikely to reverse the penalty. There were a few incidents in Serie A last season where the VAR cottoned on to the player initiating the contact. Wish more VAR officials were that brave.
  4. Having watched the Tunisia vs Denmark game, I am not sure I have the confidence you do @Macca Denmark have also beat France twice in the last 8 months, will be curious to see how that games goes this weekend.
  5. Atkinson had an extremely rough evening, Mbappe paired with T.Hernandez were brilliant on that wing, they had a great connection. Questionable coaching and Arnie go arm in arm. Think the smarter plan instead of a 4-1-4-1 would have been a 5-3-2 or similar. France too good, were always going to be too good, we just let them roll over us. Onto Saturday!

another yikes moment on the weekend, absolute criminal recruitment strategy and I should know United have spent the larger part of a decade not buying what they need and wasting $
  7. Another social media take designed for clicks and outrage, i know our forwardline a little iffy but surely we should be a bit higher.
  8. And now another perspective
  9. Just change the ? To a !
  10. Yep hoping for a big 2023 from him. Will be interesting to see how much of a missing link he is/was. On a side note based on your icon; I watched Marked for Death on the weekend
  11. Grew up hearing the same, and now when I hear that song I sing "Pistachio, Pistachio, a kind of nut' But back to the thread, for me - boring name + number of fav growing up, Big Jim
  12. Was happy to hear his manager acknowledge he's made mistakes in the past. Hopefully he's committed to good culture and good football and both parties will reap the benefits.
  13. The door shut on AFL footy? Surely worth a risk for some club
  14. Saw an image the other day out of the GWS first picks at the draft from 2011 to 2020 - now only Whitfield and Ash remain. So imagine clubs will be lining up for Cadman in the near future to keep the trend going.

Puts Salah central he scores a quickfire hat-trick.. *pretends to be shocked*
  16. In an ideal world with no injuries, not sure either would crack our best 22 (regularly) but we'll see.
  17. Saw an angry Collingwood fan call him a 'trader' for leaving - enjoyed that one
  18. If it does go to 5 Players on the bench and no medi sub, would be curious to see how many teams run 2 rucks.
  19. Gryan won a flag, so you never know
  20. Simultaneously a shame for us and also funny at Collingwood, so somewhat of a win?
  21. Most said we paid overs for Lever, ended up winning a Flag so if we did it was worth it. If LJ signed a 7 year deal and plays a part in a winning flag there i'm sure they'll say it was worth it. You can afford to pay overs if you're bringing in the right person and selecting the right picks. The Lever deal got us a pick we used on Petty, few years down the line, a great trade for us

Sort of a panic, United were sniffing about which made LFC act quicker. Either way happy with Antony, settled into PL life v quickly.
  23. Last night I was very firm that we did need him. But provided we have a healthy Tmac and developing JvR I think we'll be right especially as head into a Gawn/Grundy era
  24. roy11 replied to 45HG's topic in Other Sports
I still think you got your (English) summer transfers wrong. If I was in charge of LFC, would have bought a cheaper forward and re-enforced the midfield. I am very critical of Henderson and he should not be a regular starter, let alone your captain. But it is what it is, Nunez will come good, but you're not getting the most out of Mo Salah, he should be the focal point of the attack. 1 Point off the Title in 21/22 but looking miles off it this year, Arsenal will drop away eventually and Haaland will just keep scoring and the title will be won very early
  25. Expect any List manager to talk a big game but at the end of the day Lamb had one arm tied behind his back in terms of what we could get in return.
