  1. sport around the world is being suspended. Premier League having a meeting after Arsenal Coach confirmed positive. F1 cancelled, cricket behind closed doors. Based on this it doesn't look too good for attending the footy anytime soon. Serves me right for being quietly optimistic for this season.
  2. La liga in Spain on a minimum 2 week suspension. Champions league ties look problematic now. meanwhile in Victoria, Mclaren have pulled out of the f1 this weekend as a crew member has been diagnosed with corona. curious times for the decision makers
  3. "At a press conference Monday, Gobert attempted to make a point about overreaction and fear by touching everything in sight before he left. He leaned over and touched all of the microphones and recorders." Bit of a Lol
  4. NBA Just suspended the season. Wonder what the AFL will do.

Too logical for the AFL to implement but would be a good idea!. with KK and Nietzsche likely LTI what are the options for the club
  6. Wonder how many MCC members pay their dual membership promptly. For the last few years (and this year no different) I just sign up a week or so before the season starts. Already have my entry - so no real rush for me

We've let inconsistent players go and kept some risks. Hopefully Burgess can keep the rest of the cattle on the pitch. Pardon my ignorance but what provisions can we make for long term injury replacements?
  8. Where does Kent fit in at St Kilda these days anyway?
  9. i know the AFL like a story but i'm sure reports/stories like the ones coming out aren't helping KK (even if true)
  10. Who will pocket Frost in the first edition of the Frost Cup?
  11. Was key player in 2 of our wins last year. Given some of the drafting/trading and his contract running down he'll need a good year which will hopefully spur him on. Handy versatile squad player.
  12. if it's empty stadiums it'd be positive as we could watch WCE games without listening to the the excessive OTT booing.
  13. I liked Frosty (for mixed reasons) and i've previously joined the somewhat unnecessary pile-ons on Omac last year due to the sideshow 2019 was for us. We have the players to replace Frosty based on the replies to this thread, with a fit bill of health they may even well surpass him based on team play/structure etc. Hopefully OMac has had a positive pre-season and is given a clean slate by the fans for this season.
  14. hopefully it takes the pressure off him a little and he can focus on having a ripper season. Big Max the right call, onya big man.
  15. Quick look on social media and Hawks fans seem happy with Frost's performance last night which i found interesting, still early days. Still love the Frost - but not always for positive footballing reasons
  16. Named after Reef - Place your Hands
  17. as long as the melbourne of 2020 isn't the melbourne of 2019 it should be all g
  18. Reckon fully fit Gawn and May would 100% crack the respective squads uncertain about TMac due to the higher profile forwards from other clubs . At least they can't break during State of Origin.
  19. Also if he is in the 2s he'll hopefully offer some on-field guidance to the young brigade - which in turn helps their development (hopefully)
  20. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-12-03/brown-becomes-a-demon Brown announced.
  21. For me it was a bit of a "woah" moment when suddenly my favourite player was younger than me. Still find it strange watching players play when I've seen their dad kick a ball etc (AFL & Soccer)
  22. We've made some risky calls but as i mentioned in another thread; Watching us last year it was clear we needed the following; Outside run Tall Forward option Small Forward So far we've brought in Tomlinson, Langdon, Jackson, Pickett and potentially Brown and Bennell. Sokol an option if they don't go Brown. River seems highly rated with his distribution too. Time will tell and there'll always be draft hindsight discussions but we've gone after areas we're deficient rather than potentially best players available. As stated above a lot of the additions are upgrades and we also get to see Dunkley/Lockhart with a full AFL pre-season. We got the players we wanted (sans elliot) so for that it was a good trade period now we just need to get behind them and understand there'll be ups and downs with their development.
