The first 1/3rd of the doco depressing for obvious reasons but it set the scene. Still hard to believe that we won a grand final and, in that manner, too. One part did make me laugh tho was the vision Merger meeting with Brian Dixon saying they didn’t want to go to inferior Glenferrie Road facilities and want to have the best facilities in the league. Re: Delay penalties - there was one incident where Carlton got a free kick and Newman was feigning being held to try get the 50. I understand the need to crack down on delay tactics (see Petty vs West Coast) but feel some team may lose a game this season after some deceitful treachery. Hopefully the umpires can see through these actions.

My main thoughts Some sloppy errors but not the end of the world, not like they can take the AFLX trophy of us. At one stage of the game I wasn't sure what would be higher - the amount of goals we scored or the amount of 50s we conceded. I'm all for clamping down against referee abuse, but some of those were extremely soft. Our defence in 2021 had a structured system and knowing each others game and we had 5 (flag winning) players out, some individual performances not ideal but wouldn't read too much into that Missed the beautiful kicking of Rivers/Salem Need Gus back on the wing Fritta will score even more goals this year.

For those in the MCC, the alcoholic drinks in seat protocol is currently extended until the end of the cricket season and will be reviewed before the 2022 Footy season starts. Not that i'll be slamming alcohol that early on a Sunday but would like a drink in hand when the cup is held by the players on the stage

Had a look around ticketek earlier, Justin Bieber tickets are on sale today too, which is adding to the website queues/traffic

Any idea where the stage will be positioned? Not sure whether to use MCC or MFC Membership to grab the tickets today

Great News, Imagine going back in time to the sad era and telling yourself that a Melbourne player that kicked 6 in a winning Grand Final just re-signed for 5 years. I'd check myself into an asylum .
