  1. Guess being a dual MCC/MFC membership means I've got a good chance at any ballot! With restrictions and what not in place, could we see the MCC adopting seated areas where you can drink? THE DREAM?
  2. Wonder how much impact the potential Brown trade has on Brown staying on the list in 2021.
  3. from the Mini-Draft to potentially joining GWS by Trade many moons later.
  4. Happy with a 1 year deal. Another one ticked off the list, Still wonder what they're going to do with Jones
  5. Would ANB would be bundled in this trade?
  6. Thank you Demonland from me but not my employer.
  7. Glad we talked to him. Talk to all the options and go with the best one that fits, which at this stage looks the Brown route. Hope JH does have a good run at a new club though
  8. Not sure about this part based on some of the replies in this thread! Can see him going to the Cats now though.
  9. Players take a cut to be in a consistent finals team. This can only be achieved once a team consistently makes finals. Sometimes it feels like Maintaining seems easier than reaching this these days.
  10. Agree 100% @Pickett2Jackson, hope we end up with two blokes with weird hair styles running around the f50. What a sight.
  11. Side query: Is there anyone the cats will target now instead? They've got picks, we have an abundance of inside mids etc
  12. I remember in 2016, we just ended the 10 year drought against Hawthorn. Hogan was a late out for this game. A few minutes after the final siren he was walking through the G on level 1. Slumped, hands in pocket etc. Still accepted my high five but just seemed very flat. Granted he could have been cut about missing through injury but just seemed rather nonchalant. Any win against Hawthorn should have everyone up and about.
  13. See this is what annoys me, the top teams can maintain their status through free agency and also being on top - certain playing groups are happy to sacrifice some $ to maintain success in the chase for a flag. The lower clubs often need to pay overs in terms of picks and $$ to players to try catch up, which often backfires and this doesn't help either.
  14. Agreed @La Dee-vina Comedia and @daisycutter. Part that resonated with me was the fact COVID19 is being used to leverage power by the big clubs, same thing happening in English football at the moment.
  15. Someone posted this on twitter before (they added the bold themselves for emphasis) - Koch on SEN
  16. I echo the view of a lot of posts in this thread but will summarize my thoughts 1. Happy M Brown got in on the votes, was playing some good footy at the end of the year. Hope we can find a place for him. 2. Had money on Neale/Boak/Petracca trifecta - Winnings reduced 50% cos Jack Steele snuck it at the end to tie with Trac. So he is now my most hated player in the AFL. 3. I did not like Danger's suit. 4. Trac had polled 5 votes in 85 AFL games until 2020 where he polled 20 votes in 17 games. The finger has well and truly been pulled out and i look forward to seeing what he brings to the table next year. 5.Black should have given the award 6. Mark of the Year and Goal of the year were wrong - but who cares - Pickett will win them both next year. 7. Happy for Clay to poll well, hopefully all can be soothed going forward 8. Langdon unlucky not to poll, but he's only ever received 2x 1 votes in his career. (68 Games Freo, 17 games Melbourne). Maybe needs more end product for the umps to get attention. Had a look at some other wingers and Isaac Smith polled 25 votes in 210 games, Brad Hill 15 votes in 168. 9. The players in the Melbourne studio sitting there with the masks, raw end of the deal aha.
  17. Seems North have addressed the rumours on Rhyce Shaw that have been eluded to in the thread "We have been acutely aware of speculation regarding our head coach, but we have not been in a position to say anything as we are respecting the wishes of Rhyce and his family. Rhyce has asked for some time and space away from football and we have provided him support during this period. We thank the media for their ongoing cooperation and trust they understand we can’t make further comment at this time." from letter from the chairmen https://www.nmfc.com.au/news/826849/letter-from-the-chairman
  18. Oliver's performance got better as the season went on, if he stays and and continues to improve then he won't have to worry about finishing below 3rd in the BnF. Coaches will always love players like Langdon/Viney who give all for the cause. Either way don't like the smoke here, big 12 months for the club on and off the pitch if we're to retain the Ginger Prince.
  19. Life member and good bloke, if he's not in Goodwin's plan for best 22 then the club should help him move on for the extra years and trust the process with Lockhart etc Imagine if Jetta does go we'd retain Jones for leadership.
  20. Jokes aside Ed Langdon running at the G
  21. this is what I do too, never had an issue.
  22. You'd assume he means Trac/Gawn/Oliver May. Have no qualms saying 4 in the best 50 but seeing May didn't even make 40 man AA squad (STILL AN UNJUST OVERSIGHT THAT MUST BE AVENGED) a bit too hard to argue.
  23. there's a joke floating around that goes along the lines of Arteta can couch but has no money; Lampard has money but can't coach; Then there's Ole who has no money and can't coach. Ultimately, I think Lampard won't get the best out of the squad. I'm no Chelsea fan but that front 4 (when fit and all available) is worthy of a title challenger. I know Leicester a bit of an abnormality but they had a solid and not spectacular backline when they won the league. A back line of Chilwell Zouma Silva James is solid enough, give them time to gel - esp with the new keeper. it's been a crazy season so far, long may it continue - very hard to predict.
