  1. With Petracca's kick after the siren it was deemed play on as he deviated from his line. Hopefully there is some consistency here with Franklin.
  2. So far these injuries not as bad as "feared" Sam Menegola (Geelong) - AC Joint Jack Silvani (Carlton) - shoulder subluxation Nick Vlastuin (Richmond) - Corked Knee
  3. Reckon 95% of people would have had Rowell winning it this year. Will he able to do it in half a season?
  4. Maybe they want to keep the Saints guessing for as long as possible. Not the end of the world is it?
  5. Also GA Level 3, Nervous about this game (as going with 2 Saints fans). Glad to get around Spud's Game initiative also.
  6. Yeh the physio did some work on him and he went down to the rooms with about 10 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. Started on the field for the 3rd quarter so guess he either had a shot or was right to go.
  7. Can't see us leaving set seats/zones for the season. So it'll be curious to see what the AFL do here. Guess too much effort to block out reserved seats from the system?
  8. We'll see how I go. Otherwise the Pub wins
  9. Would love to put his footy brain in ANB's body. Would have a great player! Jokes aside Charlie did well on the weekend. He's not quick or a superstar but an important cog when we're firing. Similar to how some people were knocking Jordon in another thread before the game. You need players like this in the team
  10. Excellent! If i want to attend with 2 mates (St Kilda fans/non members/jabronis) do I need to wait for the GA sale or can i get additional tickets during the away membership window? Sorry for dumb question, still navigating through this all.
  11. Still so odd how it can add a game to your statistics without getting on the field. Must be a hollow feeling for Connor Downie, they even made him go in the middle of the circle too. With this rule in place can't see a way Jonesy doesn't get to his 300 at least, not sure he'd consider it hollow or not if a couple chalked up this way.
  12. I went by myself (in the members) and there was someone sitting in the seat next to me and then about 5 empty seats on the other side, so was a little confused by the process. Uncertain if the empty seats were ppl who didn't rock up or if they were not allocated. So a little hard to judge but from looking around it did seem a somewhat confusing set up. Also saw a bloke stand up in a crowded area and yell and saw spit particles flying everywhere. Hopefully we start pumping out these vaccines then aha
  13. Hopefully someone has softened the turf at Optus Stadium!
  14. It might look rushed, but let's not forget that the long term ramifications of concussion and potential lawsuits against the AFL, they need to be more proactive on the issue. Changing the return to play protocol for concussion was a positive step tho. "How it different to broken arm/leg/other injury" - you go a player down either way - no denying that. It's an interesting question, but also need to remember that concussion on the whole is a different beast to a soft tissue/bone injury in terms of effect both short and long term. Ultimately it comes down to a question on whether a team should be disadvantaged by prioritizing player's welfare and having a cautious approach. Agree with @Pollyanna that having a replacement available during the testing makes some sense - a team isn't disadvantaged for being cautious. But the next question pops up - if that player is ruled out from concussion, should the replacement be taken out of the game and it be treated the same as any other injury? This way it's cautious approach meets tough luck, just means the poor sub is jerked around a bit. You'd need to put some other rules in place to safeguard it being manipulated against and it opens up a lot more questions. I don't know the answer, I am not against a concussion-sub either and can see both sides of the argument but does feel like they're trying to sneak it in just before Round 1, more discourse could help iron it out.
  15. Likewise. Will it be like the cricket where we can drink in our seat? Not sure if i've missed announcement about this.
  16. There's definitely oxygen in the Frank Grey Smith Bar
  17. Reserved Seating for MCC means I will struggle to get back to my beloved Level 3 Balcony area. I miss you so.
  18. Steven May sustained a mild concussion during Monday's AAMI Community Series match + will now undertake a graded return to training. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/876852?fbclid=IwAR069FI5SMho8s4U9h2KzJBvE2epM-K1jL4eQV45b2xy_QU6PwW6JvAJ2ck Will be assessed but hopefully be up and about Rd1
  19. If it is 4, you'd assume they may keep one up their sleeve for mid-season?
  20. hopefully we get more information once its declaseified.
  21. Started the Friday knock off drinks early?
  22. sneakily watching at work without sound makes it even more confusing trying to figure out who everyone is
  23. The MCC website says "Three game guest pass into MCC Reserve for any three Melbourne home games", which differs from what is said on the MFC website, so might need to clarify that with them. Imagine I would then have MFC Ballot and a MCC Ballot. If we end up with heaps of Sunday afternoon games i don't think it'll be an issue either way but who knows with a rolling fixture and our rolling form aha
  24. It's a bit confusing at this stage and I need to sort out my MCC/MFC dual membership, but hard to know the value without knowing the agreement/plan Dual Membership Option Exclusive - $89 - no additional access, MCC only Premium - $225 - General Admission access to all Melbourne home games at the MCG and Three game guest pass into MCC Reserve for three select Melbourne home games. The Premium one seemingly gives me greater chance of attending games. But also Not even sure when/if MCC members can bring guests. So uncertain which one to buy atm,.
  25. Very sad/tough news. What mental strength she must have through all this.
