Nice, need to get my hands on this bad boy this weekend. Is there someone there to help take a photo ? @Demonland

Imagine he will break a lot of people in the VAFA, hopefully not himself.

Great News, Imagine going back in time to the sad era and telling yourself that a Melbourne player that kicked 6 in a winning Grand Final just re-signed for 5 years. I'd check myself into an asylum .

Ben Brown joins Dees’ AFLW coaching panel
roy11 replied to Deemented Are Go!'s topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
I'm going to admit, I knew BBB was a good footballer when at North but couldn't look beyond his run up. Glad we have him, cos ive learnt more about him and he's a seemingly a terrific bloke too. Good to see him giving back to the club too and helping develop our women's team in their quest for the flag. -
Reliable depth, another moustache in the squad. Don't mind him hanging around.

I went the Poster, T-Shirt, Fridge Magnet, Stubby Holder and Pennant. Nothing too extreme here. Imagine if i was at the game I may have gone a little bit more overboard. Only waiting on the poster, but received the dreaded AusPost slip this morning, so hopefully will pick that up tomorrow.

“It didn’t come to blows because a player from Melbourne and a player from the Western Bulldogs that are best mates and used to live together … they met halfway between Level 2 and Level 3 – safe ground – and negotiated a peace treaty … Saved these two clubs coming to blows. Sorry if it has been said, but who we talking here.

Happy for Jay. Deserves another crack. No shame in not being able to force his way into our backline recently.

After Nov 29, Masks only required - in high risk indoor settings - where there are low vaccination levels - where you cannot socially distance Hopefully the photo opportunity on the ground/open, happy to mask in the queue if need be and then whip off for the Trophy

Turned things around, even when quiet was a piece of the puzzle. Hopefully he puts in the same amount of work this pre-season as he did last year. Looking forward to a full year of BBB/Tmac/Fritta

Say what you will about DeesFlag2020 but he was only a year off.

thought this thread was about bowel movements. Happy with Sparrow getting an upgrade or the undefeated Bowzer - who knows someone may put their hand up for it.
-
assume he'd be deserving of his own announcement given he's a premiership player now!
-
Laughing at Buck aside, Interesting to see the change in classifications; Langdon the big mover jumping from C to A. Gone from 1 A grade player to 9

The chorus was adapted in 2012 by Stevenage F.C. fans for winger Luke Freeman as: "Freeman's on fire, your right back is terrified!" Following that, in early 2016, Newcastle United supporters adapted the song for their striker Aleksandar Mitrović, the refrain being: "Mitro's on fire, your defence is terrified", which has also been used by fans of Fulham FC. However, Mitrović suffered poor form; the chant came into greater prominence in May of that year, as Wigan Athletic supporter Sean Kennedy uploaded on YouTube his version of "Freed from Desire" titled "Will Grigg's on Fire", in recognition of the recent goal-scoring feats of Will Grigg, a Wigan player. Since it was uploaded, the song has become a viral football chant. This version was recorded by dance producers Blonde under the alias DJ Kenno, and it reached No. 76 on the UK single chart. Fans from Northern Ireland also sang "Will Grigg's on Fire", notably during UEFA Euro 2016, as he played for Northern Ireland. Fans of Ireland, Wales, England, and France made their own versions of the song for their players, such as "Vardy's on Fire" and "Grizi's on Fire". It was later seen as the unofficial song of UEFA Euro 2016. "Freed from Desire" itself was used as the unofficial anthem for the Belgian team during the 2018 FIFA World Cup As you can see it gets around, even my local soccer club started playing this at club events in 2016, someone tell the Bulldogs you can't own a banger aha

Think that's just Libba! That's the first I heard of that Gus sledge, no wonder there was some carry on. Glad we got the last laugh. But agreed, it will be good to have rival. I didn't like some of the class divide that people tried to build up in the lead to the GF.

"Essentially it means that, for 2021, the top-20 picks are a protected zone from NGA players. If a club picks them in that part of the draft, their NGA club has no ability to match a bid on them. But if they are bid beyond the top-20, they can join their NGA club if it chooses to match a bid."

https://www.sen.com.au/news/2021/10/05/the-rivalry-full-of-nastiness-developing-between-two-afl-teams/ A nothing article, but if true funny Dogs would be upset about us singing that they sung (which is already song in soccer and the darts etc)

"Among the other clubs to come forward for the Suns' pick 19, which they were officially granted last week as part of the AFL's concession package, is Melbourne" Wish they weren't granted it, but if we can grab it off them it will be ok in the end aha. Don't think Mac will be around by then, wonder who they have their eye on

This is how I feel on the matter, i like Chandler. Victim of lack of VFL due to COVID and also the form/lack of injuries to the small forwards this year. Would like him to stay another year, but understand if he searches senior footy.
