I've been on the fence with this one, but with other rotations and Langdon/Tomlinson and others having high ToG%, i think we will be able to play and manage him on Saturday. That being said it is a risk if injuries occur elsewhere and we need a big shift from him. In conclusion ?

You need more creativity and goals from midfield. Will be an interesting summer for LFC with Mane wanting to leave and Salah entering the last 12 months of his contract.
  3. Was reading how we're ranked 17th for pressure applied this year. Not sure what exactly we were ranked last year but a curious stat given our spot on the ladder.

"In more positive news, Harry Petty will be in the clear to play after some concern around his fitness against the Dockers. The key defender was dealing with a knee niggle throughout the match, but scans have cleared him of any damage, allowing him to continue training in full this week." Petty pictured in training with tape around the knee today, hopefully good to go.

Peak Snow season is July to September. Hopefully this outlier spanking we received on the weekend won't impact Saturday Night too much.
  6. I was going to order one when they were announced but thought they have some at the Freo Game. They did not. Hopefully they release another batch, otherwise i will wait until next year.

Thought he was a little unlucky the way some of these contests were adjudicated against Freo. At least he didn't smack a bloke like he did in the VFL.
  8. I still think our depth is reasonable standard, we just had an off day (and had some key personnel out) against a good team. Unfortunately missed a few players which caused flow on impact on other positions (especially after May/Petty injuries). Yes there were some tactical issues but hopefully these are resolved with the returning players and the game plan/effort return this week.

Happy for BBB to stay in, yes he's had 2 ineffective games in a row, we fell apart on the weekend, forward connection non-existent and were missing several key cogs. If he's still struggling after everyone has come back, then maybe get him to Casey for a week or two.

Tmac has a contract until the end of 2024. Imagine/Hoping JvR has busted down the door well before then.

SEN just posted this about McStay, so maybe Brisbane covering their bases? https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/05/27/collingwood-among-victorian-clubs-trying-to-lure-brisbane-key-forward/ Unrestricted free agent McStay would command a five-year deal in the vicinity of $600,000 a year at the Pies or another suitor given his growing presence and the demand for big forwards. The Lions’ deep playing list means they can’t meet that financial bar, but McStay loves life in Brisbane, has a sense of loyalty and in an ideal world would stay at the Gabba.
  12. Expose us at the back? Gee whiz
  13. It's nice not being the club in shambles for once but don't want to be too mean to North as they've been nice to us in recent years; Tyson/Preuss trade - which eventually strengthen our trade hand in the... BBB trade. Pick swap that got us Pickett.

Reckon this would have come from Maxy, loves his nostalgic wrestling references.
  15. Port Melbourne's home ground

When Lampard was appointed at Everton they were in 16th place, they'll end up in 16th place. It may sound like I have an agenda, but if he sees out his contract at Everton I will be very surprised. Happy everton remain in the league as they are more of a rabble than my mob (United). Villa rested players this morning, clearly Stevie wants to help Liverpool but he still has Mings as his first choice CB so don't expect any favours there aha.

In the space of a decade or so we've gone from Media saying we play bruise-free footy to being thugs to now being this relentless hard but fair team. What A journey.
  18. Can't make the game this week, will they have these for sale at the Freo game?
  19. Milky an interesting one. At least he'll be a step closer to #200.
  20. Good move for KP, players seemed to love her, hopefully the move works well for her playing career.

Looking forward to him running through a "Congratulations Ben Brown on 150 Games, Premiership Player,. You didn't want him you fools" Love watching him clunking marks. Also love the word clunk/clunking
  22. Who do you think would be more likely to get a game if injuries occur (to Tmac and Weid) Mitch Brown or JvR. Both booted 6 recently and at obviously at different ends of their careers.
  23. 5/0 a funny one, Imagine the 5 was Goody as he loves Jack.
  24. Steven May praised him on tv the other day too. Doing some good work, being out of contract we'll see if other clubs have noticed too.

Feel for Chandler, a little over exuberant and you could tell he felt bad after the event but imagine he'll have a week off. A few seasons ago Optus Oval was criticized for the firm ground has it improved over time? I'm no expert on grass, not sure if it was because it was new or the temperature over there or a mixture of both.
