Training Ground?
Drove by this morning and they had rolled out grass on half the ground at this stage Guess that Mid/Late May Date seems on target.

The New TV and Media Broadcast Deal
I have Paramount for the A-League, the catalogue isn't as good or deep as Binge/Stan/Netflix/Prime etc; so i can see Ten/Paramount pushing extremely hard for the footy.

2022 Free Kick Differential
Exactly. Personally, if i made a habit conning the umpires, I would simply not go on a media program talking about how I con umpires

TEAMS: Rd 06 vs Richmond
We've all wanted a run of Weid in the side and now he's played a handful, the real test now is how he gels/works with BBB. Hope he takes it.

TEAMS: Rd 06 vs Richmond
They can change this by the Final team listing tomorrow can't they? Also well done Jayden on 100 games.

Membership Tally 2022
Yep had a look then and sold out already, good for the club! Had a look and mine auto-renewed in October, glad that happened cos I definitely would have spaced it out a little, bought last years in June

2022 Free Kick Differential
Cody Weightman on SEN this morning "I'm very comfortable to continue doing what I'm doing, and I don't think it's going to affect my game. "I think I do have the ability to draw free kicks, and I think that's a skill set rather than a flop or whatever you call that." Wonder how that's going to work out for him

COVID Disruptions 2022
Poor BBB a few weeks too late for him, ended up missing 3 games when you facture in his suspension.

1st & 3rd Quarter Kings
We only like kicking 1 way then aha

Exclusive down the ground vision
You'd think with streaming services we'd get more options to do this, would be good to see. (Also an option with no commentary aha)

2022 Indigenous Jumper

The next Coundrum... Bowey, Salem, Brayshaw, Hunt, Jordon and Hibberd
This is how I see it to, Hunt has some deficiencies but offers something different. Bowey/Salem/Rivers are beautiful kicks but Hunt has the explosive pace. Don't envy the selection panel. Hunt wanting to make up on missing the GF but also playing for a new contract, will be very motivated. As is the case for Joel Smith. At times theyre criticized on here but Harmes/Viney been very good this year which makes it difficult to just re-arrange Gus/Jordon both of whom have been fantastic - which adds a further layer of complication.

The very, very contentious 50 for Dissent Rule
Agree with what you've said. It's not just a problem for this sporting code, recently seen articles about hockey/netball/soccer all having referee shortages. I'm involved in a local soccer club and dread the Friday afternoon email saying no referee assigned to certain games. How can it be fixed though? They're trying this method (over-punishing dissent )which may get the players in line but not going to stop someone from the crowd getting lippy. In the rugby codes the players have more respect for the referee, but not always from the crowd. Respect/lack of dissent from the players won't stop the issue of referee/umpire -shortages at local level, especially post covid when lots of people may have dropped out of these roles.

Low Attendance
Wouldn't read too much about a long weekend fixture against an interstate team. COVID plays it part too, whether it be the ticketing system, people attending things that were delayed due to covid or fear of covid itself etc. I've been to the 3 home games and flew up to the Goldy, have seen 4 wins - in some other seasons that's as many games as we won all season aha

CHANGES: Rd 06 vs Richmond
He's had 3 already would like to see him stick around in a bit longer but as said before BBB a best 22 player, imagine they'll drop SW before Tmac

2022 Injury List
Was an emergency for the GC game though, so not sure what is going on there
-
CHANGES: Rd 05 vs GWS
Hunt has some deficiencies by foot and a little inconsistent with his distribution but still think he has some different ingredients to some of the other defenders so should stay. This season he's currently =8th in terms of clangers. I guess defensive mistakes more noticeable ?

Toby Bedford, Kade Chandler and Bailey Laurie…
Liked the way Chandler went about it in his first game in 2019, 9 tackles. Hasn't he only gotten on the field twice? Feel sorry for Bedford/Chandler - they've lost valuable experience and development with COVID. Both seem to be very popular the club and i am happy they are on the list for now. Not sure they'll ever get an extended run in the team where we'll be able to judge them fully though

100% Game Time
Nobody post a thread about our 100% Win Record.

CHANGES: Rd 05 vs GWS
Ch7 were going on about our squad and our 'embarrassment of riches" last night, we've moved on from plain embarrassment at least. Hopefully these selection headaches will keep players on there toes. Without injury hard to see the Dunstan cracking this team for a while. Will be hard for Smith to get back into the team next week, will be even harder when Petty back. I like Weid, but think he'll be out next week.

NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
If you add up the AFL and The Age Tipsters only 1 of 22 are backing Gold Coast. Surprised me a little given how they played at home against us.
