He is surprisingly composed in traffic imo, but he is a bit untidy with his disposal as most have noted. Best 22 at the moment but will need to improve to stay as we (hopefully) improve. In saying that, he did well to play as much as he did given his recent injury history.

The fact out of contract players can now enter the national draft has made the PSD almost redundant IMO. We tried to get Luke Ball to go through to the PSD after his trade fell through but he preferred to go into the ND where he was more likely to get where he wanted to go.

How important is the resurgence of Trengove?
Forest Demon replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
Foot injuries can seriously impact your speed and particularly your initial push off, and I know this from experience. Hopefully he has shaken it and can get at least a bit of explosiveness back in his game and become a contributor. I really like the bloke and want him to succeed, but if the club think his foot is stuffed then they should trade him. He would still have some perceived value on the trade table. -
Digging for gold - Targetting Under-achievers

I watched Buntine a bit this year afte we were linked to him last year and I must say I was impressed. Very composed as you said, although he looks like he is sort of in that in between height range for a defender. -
2014 ALL AUSTRALIAN SIDE
Forest Demon replied to The Song Formerly Known As's topic in Melbourne Demons
The defence is a bit meh. But id be lying if I said I watched enough neutral games to make an informed opinion. -
I don't usually buy into the whole journalist has it in for the dees line, but Barrett either has a strong dislike of our club and/or enjoys seeing our supporters getting all worked up over his comments.

I reckon over the past few years I have read a hundred posts about Watts working hard but nobody kicking it to him. Please, give me a spell. Or another classic, he would star in a top team. Do you know where he would be if he was a Hawthorn player? At Box Hill or on the scrap heap because players like him don't get games at good teams. Or what about, he is an outside player...well that may be the case, but that doesn't excuse you from competing 100% when you are in a contest, and it doesn't allow you to lose your feet every time you are touched. And I would say he is a neat kick without being overly damaging. Takes easy options and only kicks safely when in acres of space. If he has any currency whatsoever, which I doubt, trade him. Glad I got that off my chest.

Wagner looks interesting. The other two not so much imo. Who knows, hopefully he has watched blokes like Matt Jones and Dean Terlich carve a bit of a career out at a lower club like ours, then he might prefer that option rather than rotting away in the twos of one of the decent teams. Unlikely though.

An upgrade on Shannon Byrnes, but still not interested. JKH and Kent need to take complete ownership of that role next year.

James Frawley must think Christmas has come early

So if the line he is taking is that his shrink doesn't think going back to Melbourne would be good for his health. How does he think he will cope with the absolute barrage of abuse he will cop in just about every game he plays for the rest of his career, and even in everyday life, especially if he stays in Melbourne. And I don't just mean from Melbourne fans, this will get extremely ugly.

Wow. Just wow. If true, pathetic by MC, pathetic by MC's manager, and pathetic by the clubs that are trying to lure him. All the club can do now is play hard ball and do what is best for the club, not MC. Do we have a 100% definitive statement from the AFL or the club on the process of trading, given the unique set of circumstances.

Hard not to be cynical of the whole "retirement" IF this all comes off. Will wait before unloading the full arsenal.

Greeeeeeaaat. Isn't this fun.

Would take a big load off Hogan which is a good thing. Shocking set shot for goal but a good mark and a good defender. Would be very interested in seeing what the trade looked like.

Those clubs who were lucky enough to be up the top of their cycles when FA came in are laughing all the way to the finals every year. Make no mistake, if FA came in when Hawthorn or Geelong were a basket case, which wasn't that long ago remember, they would be floundering down the bottom for the foreseeable future. It is a vicious cycle, and we are going to have to d an amazing job to break it.

Imagine if we ever play finals again, we earn home ground advantage and they make us run out in the white jumper. I would be absolutely ropable. I don't think Richmond are completely blameless here either. I am sick of these other Melbourne clubs who put out these pathetic clash jumpers that are far too close to their normal jumper that it is barely worth doing. If the AFL are going to enforce clash jumpers then do it properly. It boggles my mind that a team can have two jumpers that clash with another team's jumper, it makes no sense. One dark, one light, problem solved.

I'm not offended by it but it is so obvious that many would be. Was a stupid idea but we move on.

I thought Raines was meant to be a bit of a hook foot?

My personal opinion is that Roos is just avoiding a media storm, and rightly so, and hoping Jack's woeful form can fly under the radar somewhat, and not put off potential suitors. Unfortunately, I think the whole football world can see how much he is stinking it up this year, except a few delusional and over protective Melbourne supporters.
-
Terrible and woeful. Garland was injured though to be fair.
-
What a ridiculous thread. You could put Gary Ablett Snr in out forward line and he would struggle to impact games. Salem has been the sub on numerous occasions, and has shown some great glimpses of his talent, and ultimately, glimpses are all we should be expecting of 18 year olds in their first year. Needs to work on his tank so he can spend more time up the ground next year.
-
We are ridiculously low on confidence and skill. The high we rode in the first half of the season has well and truly dried up. Could pick at least a handful of players who played today who have no future at this level.
-
So far short of a decent AFL footballer. Trading him isn't the answer to all our woes, but if we can get a pick in the early second round for him it is a step in right direction.

7 goals?? It's party time.
