  1. Although terrible for my dream team side, Heath Shaw has shown tightly checked, he doesn't get the footy. Perhaps Dunn is the best option. Has had quite a few run with roles in the middle and has also had the experience of playing up forward, which adds the potential of hurting Shaw the other way.
  2. sorry that's just my bad re forgeting to remove quoted text.
  3. I thought Bell was good against the Hawks, however it has certainly been a step backwards from the great signs displayed last season. My Bench would be: Bartram, Rivers, CJ and Yze Match Ups: Warnock gets Rocca Rivers gets Cloak Frawley to Medhurst Bartram to Davis McDonald to Didak I don't think we need to play Jamar as White can ruck the majority of the game with stints from a prodominatly forward PJ. Also the match ups above allow Colin Garland to play forward if needed, otherwise perhaps he is the match up for Medhurst. I would like Sylvia and Yze would play deep. Also when PJ goes into the ruck i think Miller could go deep and Bate and Dunn to play accross half forward. CJ deserves a chance, in red hot form and kicks the thing well, could be his last crack at it.
  4. Yeah i got ruled out also. I thought perhaps it was a survey targeted at supporters rather then members, but propably not seeing bb59 got through. Not sure why we didn't make in vanlo.
  5. Holland's shoulder slipped out last week. perhaps he failed a test. CJ is stiff, his form has been good.
  6. Perhaps Holland is picked to play forward and allow Miller to go back..........
  7. Big Al ahead of Carroll for mine. Also perhaps Steve Febey at the expense of Walsh or Ingreson Febey was very very good in '00 and 01 that said Walsh was a decent player and played more of the 'century'.
  8. Mark Jamar 1 dispossal and 5 free kicks against. Hope no one has Russian in their Dream teams
  9. I am meant to be doing homework so can't justify doing any research but here is what i think off the top of my head. Im sure many will be wrong. Ben Holland. - A second round pick from the tigers. We tried hard to only give a fourth round, our third round was off the table as used as father son pick for CJ Brent Moloney. Part of the Woey/Heffernan and swap of 1st rounders. I think it was Moloney for a 1st rounder Clint Bizzell.- cant remember, maybe Grigic and a second rounder for Bizzel and a late pick Shannon Motlop. A free pick of any uncontracted player as a replacement for Troy Broadbridge Paul Johnson. Traded for a seconded rounder? Byron Pickett. As above? second rounder trade? Phil Read. Pre-Season draft Chris Heffernen. Part of the woey deal, trading down our first rounder? John Meesen. Trade for last years thrid rounder Peter Vardy. Really cant remember Gary Moorcroft. Picked up in the National Draft something like pickk 33 as we thought the blues might grab him Craig Ellis. Troy Simmonds for a second rounder and Craig Ellis i think There's my best guest, they could all be wrong
  10. I wouldn't be considering Garland a tall back. Despite the fact his is physically tall he is quick and Bailey has him playing as a small defender. Spent a period on Farmer on Sunday for instance. I would think he is in more direct competition with the likes of bell, whelan and Frawley (who can play both tall and small), then he is with Rivers, Carroll and Warnock.
  11. also i would suggest you heed WC advice and stay away from American beer. Notourisly water like. I haven't tried Miller Chill but if it is anything like Millers Draught it is merely a cheap Carona substitute which is only good when you've had too many real beers and you need something one step above a bacardi breezer that is easy to slide down.
  12. Well beer is like music, wholly subjective, but beer chang! now that stuff is rank. Sell it cheap as chips in Thailand and often even the locals won't drink it yet it sells over here as a boutique! if forced to drink a Thai beer go Singha but if in Thailand avoid the locals and go the beer lao. In my opinion the worlds finest brew
  13. I hope I’m not interpreting incorrectly but i think the three categories Chook was suggesting were all to be made up of players on our current list 1. Of all the players on our list who HAS been the best player 2. Who is our best player (would suggest this would go beyond purely 2008 form 3. Well it seems people have got this one right Perhaps to avoid confusion we should add a fourth 4. Best player you've seen at the MFC. Sorry to nit pick its just I liked the topic and would love to people’s response to Chooks categories.
  14. gee Bartram 12 clangers out of only 33 touches. That aint a great percentage!
  15. Neitz from White and Yze Rivers from McLean and Davey Morton from Jones and Dunn And Garry Lyon is the best i've watched with Stynes and Neitz just behind
  16. I agree. I think CJ is the type of player Baileys game plan may suit. And unlike so many on our list he can kick. I would persist. what do we really have to lose? On Buckley, he takes them on which is a great attribute but his biggest problem is not his uncanny ability to hit an opposition player on the chest it is the complete lack of a defensive element to his game. Looks good going forward, does nothing pushing back. perhaps we could try a run with role to address this, or perhaps a stint in the back pocket?
  17. we are in front Brucey first goal!
  18. we are uncahnged. Cats out Gamble in Byrnes
  19. Ben Holland one the bench..... do the Sandy selectors know something we don't? Big Ben was good against the Dogs last year, perhaps it is a plan to really stretch their Melbourne sized defence
  20. And the bench is Morton, Weetra, PJ and Moloney. Well done to the two debutaunts!
  21. I think at the end of round 22 he was leading the comp for hitouts and others passed him in the finals. However, i think Jeff would be the first to admit that his hitouts were not as effective this season as seasons past. That said it is one of my real gripes with Demonland the bashing Jeff White has received at times. Ruined by a rule change, he remains one of our best players and has held the ruck together with literally no support for years. In these cynical days White remains one of the frighteningly few players i feel genuine pride for that he is representing the Dees.
  22. But they don't have to nominate for the Draft do they? and if they do are the paid the minimum salary? where as in the pre-season draft they can put a price on their head.
