Brown's injury saves Ward one would think. Nathan Carroll's form is a worry, does he take Hall? i spose there arn't too many options. with Neitz and Robbo out Miller may not be able to be moved.

Play the kids play the kids....... Bate, Bell, Jones, CJ, PJ, Dunn, Bartram have all been given oppourtunites this year. they are kids. there are only so many you can realisticly play each week.

my impression was that last week was his first game back? one maybe two weeks in the two's then he will be back into the Sandy seniors.

A hypothetical. Valenti was on the rookie list this year. One of Bartram or Robertson was placed on the long term injury list (I must admit I am not sure of qualification for this, but let’s say its 8 weeks and one of them is going to be out for that length). So if we had the option to promote him to the senior list would he be playing this week for the dees? I believe he would.

True, I hope neale keeps his job because to do so means a drastic turnaround. That however looks unlikely to say the least but gee I hope it does happen. I also hope Yze, Godfrey, Miller, Bate, ward, Jamar and everyone else on our list performs at their best because lets remember winning games of football is so much more important then being able to come on this board and say on Sunday night 'I told you so'.

Don’t forget the distinction between sandy res and seniors. I would be surprised if Newts has kicked many more then 8 senior goals. A little part of me did want to see Newton picked because i have seen a lot of him and think he is a real talent, the man to eventually take over from Neita. However now is not the right time. As someone else said previously Newton needs to make his debut with Neita or at least Robbo there beside him. As for this week our best chance of winning comes from a smallish forward line with the presence of the resting ruckman. If we can get a couple of bags of 3 from say two of the likes of green, yze, bruce, tj, davey or bate and 3 or 4 between the ruckmen we are on the way to a decent score. I think our forward line will adept better then most believe. For me it is the Rivers-less backline that has me most worried. Holland will do a job and hopefully carroll and whelan can return to form but the cats forward line is looking tremendously multi-dimensional. I could see up to six players with realistic chances of snatching a bag of 5 this weekend.

Wheatley seemend to pop his shoulder yesterday. however, he did return to the field. Even though he was able to complete the match it doesnt mean he wont miss matches. hopefully not, he was ripper form for Sandy from all reports and a very handy player when in form. Another that could be thrown forward at a pinch with Neita and Robba out.

Well i'm still checking cricinfo a lot more often than demonland. however excitement levels are starting to build, despite a Nicholson free season I need a knew favorite................
