I'm starting to think his retirement would be a good thing. I feel for the guy but for me he is the odd man out with a developing back 6 and the addition of hibberd. I can't see him getting games in 2017 or 2018 ( if his contact is as long as suggested) unless we are crippled with injuries.

I am torn about a Garland and/or Dunn trade. Here is why: We will lose Grimes. Losing Garland, or Dunn or both thins our depth and leaves us vulnerable. Wagner, Omac, Frost, came out of thin air. If one goes down we are in trouble, or if they struggle to maintain form we are short on options. On the other side of the coin, those young mentioned players are our future and will be given most game time. This will weaken Dunn and Garlands trade value the following season and also hurt their chances of playing more Afl games elsewhere. I am going to be bold and suggest if we can find some win wins deals for both Dunn and Garland we take the risk.

Richmond have posted 11 straight years of operating profits, with a 500k profit in 2015 and 1.3m in 2014. Not only that, but they have over 23 million dollars of assets and are completely debt free. Yet, they want to boot out this board who has delivered profits because they haven't won a flag? Brisbane will tell you that winning flags doesn't inflate the bottom line.....

I used to be of the opinion that height was really important. Caleb Daniel at 167cm changed all of that. Allsop is 8cm taller than Daniel, and Daniel has been a huge success. Would be great if he came to us as a category b rookie.

Mitchell is the big fish once the prestia and omeara deals are finalised. Michell is going to get paid big bucks, and given we seem to be throwing cash at Essendon players i can't see us affording Mitchells signature.

Butcher looked like he was going to be a star when drafted. Clearly he doesn't have the skills required for the top level. A shame, but that's footy.It's a hard business! I would rather games into the young forwards already on our list.

The proposed 2Nd rounder for Hibberd has us coming in at around pick 44 in the 3rd round for our first live selection. The dees will no doubt shop some players Goodwin doesn't require to land another pick in the top 50.

We played like horse droppings today. I think it would be poor not to mention Geelong were sublime today. They were at their best. If Geelong play like that every week they will pinch the flag. They were outstanding today, and we were plain horrible.

I don't have many concerns about Salem. Probably one of the most skillful players on our list. Just needs to stay fit. I would like him on the wing as an outside type.

Great news for Jack. Hopefully 2017 is the year he gets his career back on track.
