I think the pies contracted him for one year too many. They are going after experience to try and crack finals next season. Buckley needs a top 8 appearance in 2017 if he wants to keep his job. Wells, Mayne and allegedly Rockliff could elevate the pies to play finals. Amazed Wells got 3 years.....

If you had told me at the start of the season that Oscar was going to play 15 senior games in 2016 I would have checked you into rehab! I'm glad he got 15 games, because his last few showed some glimpses of what is to come.

Injury has stalled his career at the worst possible time. He has 12 months to build some form and show the coaches he is a part of the future plans. He might suprise us next season of he can stay on the park. 2017 is crucial for his Afl career, and I expect we will see him at his absolute best.

Hawthorn want everything for 50c on the dollar. I hope they are forced to cough up at the trade table. They have had some nice wins at the trade table in recent years. It's time they pay overs.

Trade talk radio says 8 clubs are interested in him. I'm suprised by the interest but wouldn't be against getting him if the price is fair. His departure would be key in bringing Gibbs to Adelaide.

The gym will be his best friend over the next 24 months. He is a competitor, he just needs some size to help him compete at the top level. Weeds is one of the reasons I am excited for 2017.

He was solid for most of the season. I think he still has some room to grow as a player and has All Australian potential.

Left Freo for more opportunity. Sad reality is he might have had more opportunity at Freo this season if he had stayed. We have risen, freo have fallen. Viv is a cusp player, and needs to be in a bottom side if he is going to play regular games. I hope he can get a gig somewhere and play a few games next season.

I suppose one advantage of him missing the season is that he comes into next season without any major injuries.

Like Dunny, he was so important for us for a long period of time. It's sad, but the list seems like it is going in a direction that doesn't need Garland. He might bounce back, but if his management was clever they would be asking the dees to find him a better situation during trade week.

2017 will be huge for him. I like many still think there is some room for growth with Kent. If he takes another step forward he could be big for us. If he doesn't then he will struggle to keep his spot by the end of 2017. I think he could be a very handy player for us.

Never said you couldn't trade out players. My opinion is purely based on signing Minson, not shifting other players on to justify him signing on.

Spencer is under contract. If he wasn't I would consider minson. I don't see the value minson would bring with Spencer in the wings and pedo playing the role if 2nd ruck.

Is it just me or do you wish it had been us that offered up those picks for Kennedy and mcglyn? Just good business from the swans. Those blokes would have made a big difference to our culture. They have been fantastic for the Swans.
