Demons - cursed by injuries
-
Can always call Lumumba and see if he is free. Would walk into the side based on tonight's performance.......... .....jokes
-
What a horrible game
-
Interesting demons squad. It's so far from the predicted best 22 many of us had at the start of the season, yet I'm not doubting this group coming out swinging at Sydney. Times have changed at our club. Belief is a powerful thing!
-
If I was writing an article for the hun I would be all over demonland! Some of the best and worst stuff is written here. It's about time we get some love in the press
-
How about we revisit this after the Sydney and Carlton games. If we win those we are in the hunt. Both loom as danger games.
-
This is a reward for doing what has been asked of him by the coaching staff. They can see further development and his vfl form suggests he is capable of good footy.
-
Basil could get a gig on a gardening show. He has the personality for it.....
-
He was the architect, Goodwin is the builder. Both those men are incredibly invested in this playing group.
-
I think so. The suspension probably cost us a game that he could of helped us win, aside from that he has been as good as advertised.
-
Kelly's emergence as a top tier talent has cast many a journalist to question the trade for a downgraded pick and Tyson. If you look at what both those players have done for this team, I would still make that deal again. Salem will keep getting better and will be an important ingredient to this club challenging for a flag.

Lewis has been ok so far. My concern is that I can't see him playing out that 3 year contract in the 1s. He is an automatic selection this season, but with a fit and developing list he is going to be pushed for games next season. As for the season after....he will be like Garland. On the list but playing in the twos as depth to cover injuries.

It was an absolute pleasure to sit back and watch this on TV yesterday afternoon. Weed, Jkh were phenomenal. Spencer is still working his way back into form which is promising. Huelett seems to have fallen away this season. I hope his back end of the year is more productive so he can retain his spot.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Adzman replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
He was good last night. A bit of a silent pest. Reads the play well and has good skills in close. His kicking still needs some work but he is playing well and deserves some love. -
The AFL experts stroke themselves over Joel Selwood. No doubt Selwood is tough and a strong leader, but Viney is next level tough. I have never seen anything like his performance last night. It is the best midfield performance I have ever seen.

Flat track bullies- Just got bullied!
-
Jeffy looked sore, and Salem clearly has some issues. Wagner and Jkh come in. Not sure if Wattsy will be available. A rampaging Swans outfit will smash us if Jeffy, Salem and Jack miss.
-
Max back makes us for more dangerous inside the forward 50. It allows Pedo to be a target and crash packs, and gives us an option of putting Gawn forward who is a solid mark. Our forwardline set up is going to be potent once we get some more bodies back.
-
Interesting case here. Let me firstly say I'm a Gus fan. His currency is down, and we probably get 50c to the dollar on the trade table this year which is below what we would need to replace like for like. If he gets back I honestly believe he will be a solid player for us, and a ready made replacement for Nathan Jones in 2-3 years time. I think the concern from a list management view is that he gets one more knock it could be curtains. Selling now means salvaging 50c to the dollar Vs nothing. My preference is to hold, I still believe he is a blue chip stock.

I'm not sure what other teams supporters are calling the Dees these days, but I think it would be a far cry from the bruise free footy days. The current demons have to be the hardest team going right now.
-
Trenners has limitations as a footballer, but so does everyone else running around at Casey. Jones' replacement should be based on form, Trenners has been consistent in the 2s. Trenners has earned a call up regardless of his limitations. It's now or never for Trenners. We shall see what happens.
-
Interesting. From memory one of his sons is about 14 and is a prospect (Kobe?), certainly helps father son nominations if he is down here with dad. Loved the Wiz, wish he had never left.
-
MRP offers zero consistency. It's a joke, and needs a complete restructure going into next season.

What an amazing honor...to be the coach of the Mfc! The hof thing is ok I guess.....
