Agree. Richmond are just a turd rolled in glitter right now. Our best Vs our is a no contest. Essendon won't make it. They are as overrated as anyone in the AFL right now. Saints have shown glimpses just like us, and should push for a spot in the 8.

He has been incredibly unlucky as far as his career has gone. Aside from the injuries, he was thrust into leadership when we had none, and asked to do the heavy lifting early on in his career. At this stage of his career he should be consolidating his game and be in his prime. Instead younger talent has passed him and he has not been able to develop his game at the top level. I remember hearing that the Crows were offering us two first round picks to take him at pick 2. I can't help but think his career would have been entirely different had we made this deal. He would have even able to ease into AFL footy at the Crows. Maybe that could have prevented his body going through what it did. I would love to see him get one more crack, but I think his good form at Casey has been ignored by Goody because he has already moved on from Trenners.

I wish this game was televised.

These were dark times. The Geelong loss still erks me to this day. RIP Deano. He deserved better.

Poor bloke. Can't imagine dealing with that while living in the spotlight. No escape. Hope he can find his way through it.

Mrp is a joke. It has less credibility than a John Farnham farewell tour.

Best game so far: win over the Crows. The saints at etihad not far behind it. Worst game so far: Freo loss at home. That was a game we should have won. Most improved player: Oliver has taken his game to the elite level. We knew he was good but damn is he good! A player who needs to lift: There are a few. Kent leads the pack right now. Who is currently leading the Bluey?: Oliver easily. Best recruit: Hibberd. Adds so much. Will we make the finals?: hard to tell. Will come down to the wire. If Gawn comes back and dominates then yes. If not, then no.

If we are going to make finals then we simply must find a way of stringing multiple wins in a row and going in as favourites and winning as favourites. The schedule isn't strong enough to keep us out of the 8, it will come down to whether the group can find the intensity to play well back to back to back for the rest of 2017.

Wagner hasn't been near his best. I think he makes way for Salem. If Gawn and Hogan somehow find a way back in, then things become really challenging.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Adzman replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wow. That's actually phenomenal! I hope he is brought up in all Australian talk leading in to voting. -
Where are we ranked for quarters win? This is where we will fall down.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MITCHELL HANNAN
Adzman replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
He was underrated as a player. Came in after we lost the wizard and was very handy when he wasn't hurt. If he can be a modern day vardy equivalent then we have done well! -
I'm going to need to go to weight watchers if Melksham can keep this up . I am scoffing humble pie right now. Melksham- Becoming very valuable Good on him!

Bugg would be great if he knew how to slot them. Seems to find it but has no goal sense. I hope he can find that part of his game, he could be a very damaging player if he does.

MFC Celebration of Indigenous Round
Adzman replied to Rodney (Balls) Grinter's topic in Melbourne Demons
Jurrah could have been the best. If he could have worked it out he would have become one of the most loved players in the game. Just a freak of nature.- 32 replies

Weed and Kent had to be dropped. Can't complain too much with the changes, Nibs and Chomp deserve a run after their efforts at Casey.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Adzman replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
We are getting slaughtered down back. May has to be a top priority going into trade week. -
Reality is that this isn't the Demons side of old that could allow a player to develop in the 1s without showing consistency. Things have changed, we have options. Kent needs to work on bringing effort to every game and contest or start thinking about what he wants to do after football.

Contender for biggest disappointment of 2017!

OUT: Two quarter efforts IN: Four quarter efforts.

Works in the MLB due to an imbalance in divisions in each league (3 divisions in each league in mlb, with wildcard winner rounding it to 4) and the nfl due to the top seed getting a bye week round 1 ( wildcard rounds the teams to an even number to play while top seed gets a bye). Now, both NFL and MLB are comprised of 32 and 30 teams respectively. Including the qualifying wildcard game in the MLB, 10 teams make the post season in the MLB (8 bracketed with one wildcard lower per league). That is 33% of the letter mlb represented post season. The NFL have 14 teams make the post season, with 43% of teams making the post season. The AFL already has 44% of teams qualifying for finals without the additional of the wildcard. I think the top 8 works. If and when the number of teams in the comp expand, maybe a wildcard round is a good idea. But until then they need to leave it alone.

I'm too short and white to make it in the NBA... ...and now I'm too old and not Asian enough to make it in e-sports..
