Declan was great last night Drunkn. Last night was the best I had seen him play. He was good towards the end of last season at Casey, and looks to have added to his game in 2017.

Watched the game. It was a great win and the team was fantastic! A couple of things from me: - Melksham is too good for the vfl (yes, I'm serious). He was heavily involved and was one of the key ingredients to the win. - Mitch King is developing nicely. He looks like more player than project. Still a while off AFL ready, but is certainly developing ahead of expectation. Will see if he can back it up next game. - Huelett is back in town. Took some strong grabs, and provided a real target up forward. Really even effort all over for Casey.

Has played 4 games and has probably been in the top 3 players on the ground in 3 of them! Been an absolute steal.

I might make it down for this one. Keen to see how Johnstone is progressing.

This might be the biggest personal award Westhoff ever wins. Clarry will win brownlow.....

Lumumba exiting the club frees up some cash. He wasn't on huge coin, but would have been on more than recently drafted players. Hopefully Lewis can galvanise this group and have them stay together.

Frost is uncharacteristically quick for a tall. He is a headache of a matchup for talls who have to chase him down on the rebound.

Tough to make changes after such a great win. I agree we should go in unchanged.

If it wasn't for Eddie Betts he would probably being talked about as a potential All Australian based on his form this season. If he keeps it up he still might get there! Great season so far from Jeffy.

How important is form? Frost and Pedo wouldn't have cracked any best 22s outside of demonland at the start of the season, but it would be hard for the journalists to not include them on recent form. Hopefully some of our lesser known players start getting the recognition they deserve (and the commentary can perhaps learn their names)

Hogan takes not only the best defender but usually draws a second defender in the air. This makes Garlett much more dangerous at ground level. Let's not read too much into the wins in his absence, and remember the games we won because of his influence up forward. Now is not the time to be over analysing our forward. He is having a tough time and needs some support.

Culture is hard to measure, what we can see and measure is a commitment to our style of play. When it is working we are very aggressive getting numbers behind the ball, with a smash mouth bullishness to move the ball forward. The clearance work around stoppages doesn't get enough credit considering we are getting smashed in the ruck. When it works it is glorious. When it doesn't we lose to average teams.

Sam Mitchell had to toil it out in the VFL because he wasn't tall or quick. I'm guessing many clubs would like a do over with Mitchell. The draft is a real crapshoot. If someone has great footy skills, they should be drafted regardless of height.

Kent- brings the mongrel I will be the first to say I didn't think he deserved a recall, and I don't think he was outstanding. What I did notice watching the game is that kent brings aggression around every contest and even off the ball. He is for the lack of a better word a pr!ck to play against. He aggression was contagious, and it caught on with his team mates (Weeds tackling was impressive).

If Hannan plays next week I might need to write a letter to Goodwin

If Hogan is out we may as well go with Weeds. You don't draft a kid in the first round unless you rate them. He isn't kicking the door down but we need to get games into him if he is part of our future plans.

Biff I'm thinking I get in in this. I need you to shave your head, buy a campervan and learn advanced chemistry. I will start saying "yo" a lot, and help you run this as a business. If we beat Adelaide.....I will admit to myself that we are still in the hunt.

Smells like a Zac Dawson on Anthony Rocca type scenario. Hawks were keen to develop Dawson, and we all know what Rocca did to him. Dawson had an ok career, but being slaughtered early probably hurt his development. King needs more time, Pedo will get smashed but he is a veteran who will bounce back mentally from whatever happens.

^ This He looked so promising during his rookie season. I just want to see him string some games together and see what he can produce.
