I agree, At 193cm he is only 2cm shorter than Weed and every bit as likely to crack our forwardline in the future. Huelett and Weed need time. It is easy to salivate at the plastic clubs' talls,but when you are picking bigs in the first round every year you are going to have a stacked forwardline.

I think Stretch and Harmes just couldn't get up after the Richmond game. Would be interesting to see the time spent on each ground for each player. Playing two down in the wet may have taken a heavy toll on them. Doubt they were dropped based on form. Fresh legs makes sense even just for a week. Jkh should buy a lottery ticket though....

Essendon will bring back Bellchambers and try to stretch us for height. With our outs we are in serious trouble!!

If Pendles leaves it will be to have one last crack at a flag. It would depend on how we finish the season, and if Collingwood would be willing to eat a portion of his salary. Interesting suggestion but it is a long shot.

The list management is fine. It would have been kind of the AFL to allow us an additional rookie when the prince retired, but we aren't Collingwood or Hawthorn so the AFL wasn't going to do us any favours. Gawn, Spencer and King should be enough to compete. We are just unlucky King has been out for 12 months and has just come back, and to lose your first and second ruck in 3 weeks is just cruel. You just can't plan for that. No club can.

It is hard due to the AFL having a hard salary cap. Most sides have little wiggle room to take on an extra player payment. The penalties for exceeding are severe. The AFL would need to come up with some exceptions for mid season additions. The AFL should consider its options, but we all know that they won't likely budge for years. We could use legitimate free agency right now (similar to NBA) so we can bring in some help.

Martin is under a cloud, but I would still prefer him to play. That way if we get up the tiger's supporters can't play the "but dusty didn't play" card. Should be game of the round, everyone in town is interested in this game.

Jack is a great bloke. Has always been super friendly when I have taken my young nephews down to mfc events to meet him. Very pleasant character. Good to see some positive press for once. The media loves to hate Jack which always stumps me.

He is the kind of player who can still influence the game with a shot body, but a shot mind is curtains for him. He seems disengaged and at his age I think he would probably hang them up rather than go on.

We have improved in nearly every facet of the game. Our biggest issue is that the competition is as close as its ever been, and if u are without 4 of your best 22 you are probably going to get rolled if you don't play your best footy. We had one qtr that cost us, we didn't play our best footy when we weren't full strength and we paid the price.

They are probably just angry that their gonads have shrunk from all the steroid abuse......
